We had Black Woods as the caterers for our wedding this past December, and it was definitely an amazing experience! My husband and I were planning our wedding from out of state, but Molly made it so easy to plan over the phone/email and was willing to meet up with us in person a few times when we traveled to Duluth during the planning process. The food was absolutely AMAZING from the appetizers to the main course, and we had so many wonderful comments from our guests about the quality and food selection. Several guests even told us that it was the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding. I would recommend Black Woods without hesitation to anyone considering getting married in the Twin Ports area!

We had a great experience with Black Woods Event Center! Adrienne and her team were so so helpful during the planning process. We booked with their venue about a year ahead of our date and the software they use made it so simple to always know where we were at each stage of the planning and to make payments when we wanted to!

The space was newly updated with an awesome neutral colors which made our decision on booking the space easy since it was important to us to make it our own. We selected the Champagne Chicken and a Sirloin plated option which was great for our guests. Black Woods also provided us with a set up table to have place cards, gifts and a guest book! They also partner with some amazing vendor options on decor which was so helpful to us, and having the hotel for our guests next door was also so convenient.

We used Black Woods Catering for our wedding at the Glensheen mansion. The food was amazing! Many of our family and friends told us it was the best wedding food they have ever had. We chose the Steak and Champagne chicken and served it buffet style. We also chose mashed potatoes and green beans, with bread budding and three layer cake as dessert. It could not have been better! The staff serving the food were excellent and the bartender was really professional and fun. Black Woods also saved all of the extra food and let us pick it up the next day. We were extremely happy with our experience! It really couldn't have gone any better, and we would highly recommend Black Woods Catering!

Black Woods was an absolute pleasure to work with. Very flexible, responsive and always wonderful service all along the way. The food is amazing and the venue is beautiful. The events staff are helpful and willing to go the extra mile.

Amazing food, servers were so responsive and made the event so smooth! Very affordable as well. Super flexible, I changed my napkin color a few times and they never seemed annoyed. Very good service.

We met with Jax prior to the wedding to set things up. Not only did she give us all of the information we needed regarding the food, but she also gave us suggestions on other areas as well. She was very friendly and professional. The day of the wedding everything went perfectly, they were prompt, clean, friendly, and professional. The food was beyond tasty.

Had our groom's supper here in June, and it went so well. The staff were so easy to work with during the planning process, and they accommodated our slightly complicated dietary needs (vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free meals needed) with ease and no complaint. We had just over 40 people, and their private room was the perfect size for us. The staff were nice and attentive, and the food was so delicious! It was also nice that we got to take home all of the leftovers haha! Great place.

GREAT food! The only this is everything is pretty pricey (food, liquor, etc.).
