Facilities and Capacity

Besaw’s can cater for small gatherings or large events, the venue is spacious featuring art-deco inspired ceilings, innovative lighting design, and handcrafted wallpaper. The Northside of Besaw’s is a semi-private space for up to 25 people. It is tucked away from the crowds of the main dining room, features a large banquette table, and faces the patio. Besaw’s offers a Half-Buy-Out option for up to 50 guests, suitable for a sit-down dinner or cocktail party reception. For parties of up to 120 people, you can take over the whole restaurant. This includes the entire day or night and you're able to style the restaurant as needed. For larger wedding celebrations of up to 300 guests, you are able to hire Besaw’s and their sister venue The Solo Club together, the venues are connected via a patio area which offers the ability to host a multidimensional event.

History

Besaw’s was founded in 1903 and has seen many iterations and a change of location in its time. In 2015 Besaw’s was driven from its 112-year home due to industry and neighborhood development. Their new location, just two blocks from its original home, opened in February 2016. Rather than try to recreate the scrappy charm of the original location, Besaw’s has embraced its role as the touchstone of the Portland dining scene with a more modern take on a classic with art-deco features. The original Besaw’s neon sign still remains, though, as does their genuine standard of service, delicious food, and community spirit.
