Ben was wonderful from the very beginning of our long journey to our twice-postponed wedding! We did our engagement shoot with him in 2019 and he was so helpful directing us, as a couple who had never gotten professional photos done before. He also worked well with our two dogs, one of whom is camera shy, but Ben was patient and offered treats to try his best to get him comfortable. He was flexible as we reached out to select new dates for 2021 and then 2022 due to the pandemic, and we were so happy we got to keep him as a vendor through it all.
On the wedding day he arrived for getting ready photos with a lot of good energy and a big smile, and he got his candid shots unobtrusively, allowing the bridal party to continue enjoying ourselves. He suggested a group shot of the party that turned out to be so cute, and I never would have thought of it without him! He then guided us through our first look and captured it all while still letting us enjoy the private moment. He was patient and flexible for family portraits as we tried to get everyone together and put in extra effort during cocktail hour to get the family we had missed. For our couple portraits, he had the perfect balance of directing us and just capturing our natural movements. He even stayed later in the reception for a sunset shoot and dancing photos that were unplanned, but we so appreciated!
We expected the wedding photos to take a while to edit and were prepared to wait weeks to months, but were pleasantly surprised to receive a small batch of them in the days right after the wedding! It was so nice to have a few to share immediately with our loved ones. When the rest of the photos were ready, they were definitely worth the wait and absolutely beautiful!
We had an overall incredible experience with Ben and can't recommend him enough!
