My friends and I decided to do the ride share option for my friends bachelorette party, which still cost us $550.00. To start, the driver was 30 minutes late to pick us up for dinner, which ran us behind and messed up our dinner reservation. We understood though, and didn't make a big deal of it.
Things were not so bad until I called the driver at 12:30am to pick us up from the bar we were at. He said "be there in 10 mins." Then, he calls me 15 minutes later asking if we are okay riding with another group. I say that's fine when will you be here? Again, he says "10 minutes." 15 minutes later he texts me saying "have one more drink and I'll be back soon." It is now 1:50am, over an hour past when I first called him, and the bar is about to kick our group out because they are closing, and we are the last people there. I tell him this and he responds 15 minutes later, saying, "sorry I can't talk right now." at 2:15am my friend calls him to say this is not okay, we are all standing on the street corner freezing outside, and we called you almost 2 hours ago to pick us up. He responds, not by apologizing, but by saying "you need to be patient. I drive drunk people every weekend, you are all drunk and you are confused on the timing of our conversations, it has not been that long." I am pregnant, which obviously means I am completely sober, and furious at his accusation and lack of apology. He finally shows up at 2:40am. No apology whatsoever. To make matters worse, the driver is also the owner of the company, so if you experience service like we did, there is no one higher up to help you.
