My name is Ben Hurst and I have been playing guitar for the last 22 years. I have been teaching at Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts for the last nine years. I have a bachelors degree in music with a concentration in classical guitar from Louisiana Tech University. I perform at wedding ceremonies on an occasional basis and would like to play at yours! I typically perform pieces like the bridal march and chorus. Or something classical in nature. But I also arrange pop songs, that are usually requested by the bride and groom, for finger style or solo guitar. If you have a Beatles song or a Frank Sinatra piece that you love and want to be in your ceremony, I can accmodate. If you want a custom arrangement I would only request that you give me as much time as possible(two months at least) to write a custom arrangement for for the song you want. A lot of times there is not a solo/instrumental arrangement that already exists so I have to custom arrange it myself. Arranging tunes for solo/finger style guitar is one of my specialties and I pride myself on that! P.S. I usually charge by the song, not by the hour, because ceremonies usually don't last more than a half hour. Custom arrangements of songs cost more. The average request is four songs. I can sing and play as well if that is what you want.
