Facilities and Capacity
Bear Paw Adventure is situated on 14 acres, and it boasts a spacious covered outdoor space designed for celebrations. Suitable for both the ceremony and reception, this pavilion allows couples to marry surrounded by the property’s natural beauty. It was crafted using logs, local driftwood and beach rocks, giving it a bucolic and organic vibe. Featuring neutral colors throughout, it is ideal for personalizing according to each soon-to-be newlywed’s theme. The function area provides coverage and doubles as a tent for additional protection against cool weather. The event space is suitable for weddings of up to 100 attendees. Also located on the property are several cozy log vacation homes that provide overnight accommodation for guests.
Services Offered
Bear Paw Adventure offers a wide array of services to suit each couple who hosts their event here. Those who choose this charming site can avail of a three-day rental, ensuring that there is enough time to set up, celebrate, and clean up. Each wedding package includes three or four nights’ access to the Bear Den for the newlyweds and their entourage and the Captain Cook Lodge for the groom's. The venue’s all-inclusive plan also provides couples with an on-site wedding coordinator to oversee the execution of the event. Staff will also provide a list of recommended vendors to alleviate some of the stress associated with wedding planning.
Accommodation
This venue features four comfortable log vacation homes that can accommodate up to 30 guests for an authentic Alaskan experience. The buildings include comfortable beds, satellite television, WiFi, and stocked kitchens. Guests may enjoy the on-site grills, beach volleyball or badminton courts, and other facilities. The property is nestled in the beautiful countryside, yet close to local towns and amenities including shops and restaurants.

John Ogle, Sr. is your reservations and pre-check in information contact. John enjoyed working as a professional engineer in the chemical industry before joining John Jr. in this exciting Alaskan adventure. John has developed a strong desire to provide a wedding service ever since one of his granddaughters got married. She wanted to get married at Bear Paw Adventure - thus this outstandingly unique venue was developed. John and the Bear Paw Family want to be able to provide the same joy and sense of Alaskan adventure to all weddings at Bear Paw Adventure.
Corinne was born, raised, and lives in Alaska. She has received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and is currently teaching high school agriculture and welding in Alaska. Throughout the year Corinne provides administrative services to Bear Paw Adventure and during the summer Corinne works as a Bear Paw Adventure guide - accompanying guests on their adventures as a local expert. Corinne’s favorite Alaskan adventures include hiking, fishing, visiting unique Alaskan locations such as glaciers, and berry picking. Wanting to share the beauty of Alaska, Corinne loves working with couples seeking a unique and beautiful wedding location such as Bear Paw Adventure.
Sophie works behind the scenes with Bear Paw completing administrative tasks. Growing up on the Bear Paw property, she has gone on to college, traveled the world, and became an accomplished pediatric nurse living in Oregon. Sophie enjoys exploring the beautiful scenery in Alaska through hiking, camping, fishing, and kayaking. Sophie got married at Bear Paw Adventure herself and would love to share the joy of the venue with others.
