Though I have not had the chance to try her cakes, Becky is incredibly rude and unprofessional. She does not offer cupcakes for tasting as most bakers do, and charges $15 per 6in cake as "samples." Since her pricing for the event was reasonable, we decided to deal with the "tasting" fee and ordered 2 cakes. We do not live in the area and asked a friend to pick up the samples. There was some miscommunication, and our friend did not have enough cash for $30 on the 2 cakes. Becky refused to take a credit card, PayPal, Echeck, mailed check (with extra for the inconvenience) or anything other than demanding cash. In 2016, how can you expect to run a successful business on only cash orders? We asked if we could get just one of the cakes since our friend had enough for that, and Becky said it was all or nothing and kicked her out. Becky said "I'm just like Wegman's that you have to pay for the whole order now." No, Becky, you're not like Wegman's. Wegman's accepts other forms of payments and would let me get the items I could pay for immediately. Yes, the payment was a huge misunderstanding between my friend and me and totally our fault, but Becky was not accommodating at all. Things happen and life doesn't always go according to plan, and there are ways to handle it appropriately. I'm actually glad Becky was so rude because I don't want to give money to people like that anyway. If it's worth it to you to get berated (in front of a child, I might add) over cake then go for it. Otherwise, there are many other wonderful people in the area who are more deserving of your business.
