About

Rebuilt in 1998, the Avalon Yacht Club has been one of the Jersey Shore’s most breathtaking private club venues. With every view overlooking the water, our exquisite location along the bay makes the Avalon Yacht Club an ideal location to host your wedding. Philadelphia Magazine rated the Avalon Yacht Club best of the shore for wedding sunsets.
Weddings are hosted during the spring and fall seasons, but unfortunately not during the summer months of July and August, when the club is in season. At the Avalon Yacht Club a well seasoned staff caters to your every need, whether you have a large, extravagant wedding or a small, intimate reception. When you have your wedding at the Avalon Yacht Club a year membership is included in the wedding package so you will be able to enjoy the atmosphere for more than just your special day. Wedding ceremonies can take place in front of a magnificent view on the north deck, weather permitting. Otherwise, the ceremony can be held on an indoor balcony.

Jarrod Sykes, the onsite event manager, will gladly coordinate all planning and details for your wedding. Jarrod has been a part of the Avalon Yacht Club team for the past 19 years. He will assist you in getting the perfect floral arrangements, entertainment, wedding cake and every intricate detail to make your wedding day everything you ever dreamed. Jarrod will also help plan your reception around the exact time of sunset, to ensure beautiful wedding pictures with the best background nature can provide.
Peter Mark, the executive chef of the Avalon Yacht Club for over 25 years, will provide the cuisine for your special day. From a one entrée dinner, to a choice of three, Chef Peter will work with you one on one to figure out which foods will best cater to you and your guests.

Avalon Yacht Club Wedding 9-14-24

It’s very rare in life to be so excited and looking forward to writing a review - we simply can’t list enough superlatives about AYC; if you’re thinking of getting married in the area, there simply isn’t a better venue or team. It’s been four months since our ceremony and we are still receiving compliments from friends and family raving about how incredible our wedding was – this isn’t a coincidence. From the moment you walk into the club, Jarrod and team makes your vision their own and works with you to make it a reality. Their attention to detail shines in every interaction; they are true professionals and their experience is what makes them so valuable and differentiates them from other venues on the island. The venue is breathtaking – the cotton candy sunset behind the ceremony that lingers well into cocktail hour is both priceless and unforgettable. Regarding the food, you can read all of the above reviews about it being the star of the show; it’s akin to dining at your favorite high end restaurant; nothing like regular, boring wedding fare. The only problem was narrowing down the menu since the wonderful chef at the tasting experience gives you so many options and all were delicious. Good problems to have and the tasting experience was also wonderful! They also worked with us on our signature drinks and ensured they were available all night. Also, guests were able to order their favorite cocktails without any issues like availability or quality. The bartenders and servers were professional and courteous; all of the vendors were made to feel at home – Jarrod keeps all the wheels in motion so you can focus on what’s important. We couldn’t give AYC a higher recommendation and thank them for being such an integral part of the best day of our lives!

Amazing venue for Jersey Shore wedding!

AYC was such a dream place to have our wedding reception! They are by far the best option in Avalon to have a wedding at. Jarrod & his team were super helpful throughout the entire planning process, providing advice and giving us the freedom to get creative. On the day of they did an outstanding job with food, drinks and service. Our guests said it was one of the best weddings they've ever gone to and that wouldn't have happened without the AYC team! My husband and I had so much fun at our wedding and can't recommend AYC enough!

Quintessential Avalon

Our wedding was not particularly standard. We had so many moving parts. I was so impressed on the day with the way the club pulled everything off. A few of my other vendors dropped some balls, and AYC was there to pick up the slack. a bouquet was left on a beach, Jarrod went all the way to pick it up. Brian was like a ninja during the entire event, invisible until there was a problem: then there he was, already 2 steps ahead with a solution. Our food was Great! Chef and wait staff really knocked it out of the park with service. They were time efficient(we gave them a very tight schedule) and everything was delicious. We had so many ideas and I’m so grateful to the club for making them all work! If you love Avalon, this is the perfect place to have your wedding. It feels like the town: classic and beachy. And they will take care of you like you are one of the family when it is time for your event.

Incredible experience

We couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience while working with AYC for our reception. From the responsiveness, the food, the ease of putting everything together, it was truly a dream. We've received endless compliments of the food, style of the space, and of course the view! Jarrod and the entire AYC team were incredible to work with. There is truly not a single negative thing I can say about the entire experience. If you are looking to host your wedding here, I couldn’t recommend it more (and I am VERY particular). AYC was AMAZING!

Smooth sailing from Yes to I Do

The Avalon Yacht Club was the perfect venue for our wedding!! Everything from the day we signed a contract to the end of our wedding went so smoothly! Jarrod, the assistant manager, answered all of our questions and was immensely helpful leading up to the big day. Brian, the manager, was our point person on the weekend. He made everything run so smoothly that we could just sit back and enjoy the day! Chef Peter and his staff made excellent and delicious food, even for our guests with dietary restrictions. The entire wait staff was very attentive. The ambiance of the club was so relaxing and and simplistic, we hardly had to do much with the florist except for just enhance its natural beauty! The club's preferred vendor list was also very thorough and, as we were planning the wedding from 6 hours away, we used many of the vendors on their list. Boy are we happy we did!
From my Husband: Jarrod, Brian, and Chef Pete were amazing guys that were really in control of the situation and they made me feel at ease and relaxed and able to enjoy my time at my wedding! Move over bridezillas - Brian and Jarrod know more than you do!

The Perfect Wedding Venue

The Avalon Yacht Club was the absolute perfect wedding venue. From the ceremony and reception, to the views, to the incredible food and staff this place is incredible. If you are looking to have the best wedding ever, this is the place. We really can't thank you all enough for the best day of our lives, especially the AYC coordinators Jarrod and Brian. Our wedding day was seamless and perfect we had nothing to worry about. Also compliments to Chef Peter our guests have been giving us so many compliments on how the food at our wedding was the best they ever had. If you are looking for a venue that has it all, this is the place for you.

I couldn't recommend the Avalon Yacht Club more for a wedding venue. I think the views are the best on the island for a wedding. They did a wonderful job and we couldn't be happier with how our wedding turned out, it was truly perfect. The staff--everyone from the bartenders to the managers were great. They accommodated all of our random requests and were extremely attentive. Jarrod and Brian both know the club very well and have a lot of experience with weddings. They know what works and what doesn't work. You'll be so happy you picked AYC!

Hands down the best venue. The location and building itself are amazing. The entire staff is great and they go above and beyond. They believe in quality and deliver that all the way to the end. Jarrod and Brian did everything they could to make sure we had an amazing day. Peter is a fabulous chef and our guests are still raving about the food. You will not find a place with a better quality of service. Thanks AYC for an amazing day!
