Nothing short of Excellent. We had them for our ceremony and cocktail hour and wish we could have afforded them for our reception. They were very accommodating in picking out selections for our event and the samples on their website helped a lot as well. They were all very professional and flexible. So flexible that all of our coordination was done over phone and email (we were planning from well outside Oregon). The first time we met was the day of the ceremony and they performed perfectly. As a former musician I was pretty particular about having live music despite our limited budget. I contacted several groups and Classical Revolution PDX was the most responsive and thankfully was not excessively expensive. As you can imagine, my wife and I didn't get to hear everything they played, but we got plenty of compliments from guests and what we did hear was perfect.

This group was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding (they were a surprise for my bride) and would highly recommend them.

Disclaimer: It's been a year since our wedding so none of this review was biased by any newlywed bliss. It's simply an accurate account of our experience that I've been meaning to post since the event. Not all of our wedding went perfectly as planned, but their portion went better than expected.

Classical Revolution PDX came through in a big way for our wedding. Four months ahead of our wedding, I reached an agreement with another string ensemble to arrange and perform a few special songs at our wedding--songs that were not part of any ensemble's standard wedding repertoire, each involving some coordination with friends playing guitar and singing.

Two weeks out, our original ensemble flaked. I wrote a desperate email to Classical Revolution PDX, which prompted a quick, professional response from Nikki, their cello player. Nikki later followed up with a phone call to discuss our needs and budget, and ultimately proposed an arrangement (trio, with a full rehearsal immediately prior to the ceremony) that allowed us to have the string parts we needed without having to pay all the musicians for spending their entire afternoon at the vineyard. Nikki also made contact with another talented musician, Lauren, to write out string arrangements.

The string ensemble was on time, worked seamlessly with our other musicians, and sounded beautiful. Everyone complimented the music. It honestly brought tears to my eyes and will remain one of the highlights for the day.

Another thing to mention that I appreciate more after the fact: Classical Revolution PDX are low maintenance vendors. They are up front about three basic needs: armless chairs, protection from sun/rain, and 10 minute breaks every hour. They don't bother you with requests like "mind if we eat some of your superexpensive wedding food or hit up the bar?"

In the future, I would book Classical Revolution PDX in a heartbeat.

Great group, did a wonderful job and were fun and easy to work with.
