Our trip to Athens and the Greek Islands was perfect from start to finish and very affordable!
Asimina Tours, and our rep Stella, provided a very pleasant trip with impeccable transfers between all of our many stops.
In Athens, we had a wonderful private, knowledgeable tour guide for the Acropolis followed by a delicious Foods of Greece lunch. We were then flown by Aegean Airlines to Crete and a wonderful hotel where we got to see dear relatives in Chania for the first time ever. The Venetian Harbor in Chania was wonderful to explore. We went next to Heraklion to see the Knossos ruins.
The following day our transfer took us to the huge inter-island JET BOATS headed for Santorini. Once there, our transfer took us to our hotel on the cliff top overlooking the beautiful blue harbor.
We had a catamaran /snorkeling tour and a great lunch on board. Next, we had a lovely private tour guide for a day of exploring Santorini from one end of the island to the other. We ended with a wine tasting of a lovely winery.
Lastly our transfer took us to the JET BOATS headed for Mykonos. Our transfer took us to our luxurious hotel with lovely amenities overlooking the Aegean Sea. Our delicious traditional Greek dinner with accompanying balalaika music at the Royal Hotel was a lovely ending to an incredible trip of a lifetime. We were flown back to Athens on Aegean Airlines in time for our flight home to Dulles International.
Asimina Tours smoothly orchestrated every step of the way. Our accommodations were always top notch with lovely views, great breakfasts and pleasant, caring and very friendly staffs and tour guides.

My wife and I went to Italy recently to celebrate both of us turning 50 and our 25th wedding anniversary. In planning the trip, which began about a year prior, we were recommended through a friend to use Asimina Tours; we were put in contact with Dimitri. Right away, Dimitri worked very closely with us to find out what we were interested in seeing, how long we were looking to stay in Italy, and what our budget was.
From there, Dimitri, along with his partner Christina, put together an amazing package that allowed us to see all the sights. We went to Venice, Como, Milan, Florence, Rome, and Sorrento. Along the way, we had many day trips, the majority of which were fantastic. From Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Cinque Terre (a favorite), the Vatican, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and Capri, it was a once in a lifetime experience and we had the most amazing time. Other highlights of the trip were the wine tasting in Tuscany and the private cooking class in Sorrento.
They were also very accommodating with some last minute trip ideas. About 2 months prior to leaving, I had learned that one of my favorite bands, Queens of the Stone Age, were going to be performing in Italy while we were there. We contacted Dimitri and he was able to rearrange our hotel and travel accommodations, including a last minute domestic flight, without any issues. Dimitri and Christina made the entire process run smoothly. All of our travel tickets and hotel reservations were all available through the app. Our hotels were centrally located and were within walking distance from the major attractions. We really appreciated the private transportation arrangements to take us from the hotels to the train stations/airports, as well as the private tours. If you are planning on going to the Mediterranean area of Europe, I would highly recommend using Asimina Tours, they were awesome.

Our experience with Asmina Tours and Stella we’re incredible. When looking into using the service for our trip to Greece, we weren’t sure if we’d get enough value out of it over just making our own adventure ourselves. However, especially in a time with COVID still present, it’s tough to imagine how our trip would’ve been without Stella.

From our first conversation all the way through the end of our trip, Stella was very communicative and incredibly responsive. Even when our power went out at our hotel and hotel phone’s were down in the middle of the night, Stella was able to contact the hotel owner and put us at ease. She was overall very prompt in creating our itinerary, and implementing changes as we continued to discuss. Her organization made things very stress-free for us, and throughout our trip were able to easily access our full itinerary on our phones through an app that had all the important events detailed to the minute.

It was also great to utilize her knowledge of Greece to come up with the best use of our time while we were there. She guided us in spending more time in places that made sense, and let us know when it made sense to use one mode of transportation versus another. We also got great recommendations for restaurants, and other activities to do in the area whether planned out or not.

Lastly, we felt the service was very affordable for the amount we got out of it, especially since we had to go between a few different countries. Every airplane, boat, taxi and activity went off without a hitch, and had no stress in a constantly changing environment with COVID. We’ll definitely be using her for our trip to Italy!
