Ashley Painter Photography is a Charleston, South Carolina wedding and portrait photographer serving couples and families throughout the Lowcountry and beyond.

With four years of professional experience, many weddings photographed, and countless portrait sessions, I’ve learned that beautiful photography is about more than creating beautiful images. It’s about knowing when to step in with direction, when to let a moment unfold naturally, and how to make the people in front of my camera feel comfortable and confident.

From our first conversation through the final delivery of your gallery, I’m there to help make the experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. On a wedding day, that means helping you prepare ahead of time, navigating changing timelines and lighting conditions, capturing the moments you planned for—and paying attention to the ones you didn't.

My education includes formal photography training through the New York Institute of Photography, along with continued education in posing, lighting, technique, and evolving industry technology. I continue to invest in my education so that the experience and work I provide my clients continue to grow alongside my business.

I am also a member of Professional Photographers of America. My child portrait work has been published in two magazines, and I have been featured by South Carolina Voyager Magazine as a local small business owner.
