Arfana is the first vendor I booked during my wedding planning, over a year before my wedding, because that is just how sure I was about using her; she did not disappoint!! I have never felt so seen, heard and beautiful during and after a professional hair and makeup experience. I am still looking back at my photos in awe of her work. As a bride juggling wedding planning, I also sincerely appreciated my communication with Arfana. She answered all of my questions with care and thought. She listened to my feedback, questions and give wonderful advice on how to find online inspiration looks suitable for my skintone, bone structure etc. and how to prepare for my wedding day. She is extremely seasoned in her work and that shows not only in her brides, but in how she conducts herself as a vendor. She was able to give me 4 unique and beautiful looks for my Haldi, Sangeet, Wedding and Reception. She draped me for each event and assisted me with all jewelry and accessories. On top of getting me ready to perfection, Arfana is such a kind individual! Working with her is a choice I would make over and over again. My experience with Arfana was one I’ll cherish forever. I’ve had subpar experiences with hair and makeup artists in the past, but Arfana was nothing short of amazing. She genuinely cares about her brides and had multiple check-ins with me leading up to my wedding week to ensure we were aligned on my vision.

Once I shared my vision board for each event, Arfana took the time to discuss every look in detail and even provided tips on how to prep my skin and hair beforehand. She’s not only incredibly sweet but also a talented artist. Arfana exceeded my expectations for each event and delivered a one of a kind luxury experience.

She sanitized all her tools daily, came prepared with products to keep my skin hydrated, arrived on time for all three events, and nailed all my hair and makeup looks from my vision board! She never rushed and perfected every little detail. I received countless compliments, especially on my Sangeet day, when people said my makeup looked airbrushed even though it wasn’t!

I didn’t have time for a trial due to my work schedule, yet Arfana still did an incredible job. I honestly can’t pick a favorite look because I loved them all for my Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception, and Arfana made me look and feel my absolute best and so beautiful. I remember telling her “This is the best hair and makeup I’ve ever had in my life.” Beyond her artistry, Arfana made the entire experience enjoyable with her kindness, humor, passion and professionalism.

Arfana did an incredible job of bringing my bridal vision to life! I remember coming across her Instagram page in my searches and immediately seeing that her portfolio included everything from hair to makeup to draping. A full, cohesive bridal experience. Not only did her portfolio include everything, everything was perfectly executed in the pictures that I saw. The quality of the makeup application was on another level, she could clearly do a variety of hairstyles flawlessly, and her draping skills were ON POINT. As a South Indian who was going to be wearing two kanchipuram sarees for my wedding (with a 20 min quick-change in between), draping was super important to me. It’s rare to find an artist that can do it all and do it all well, and it makes things so much easier and more cohesive when the full look can be brought to life by the same person. I did my due diligence of reaching out to various hair and makeup artists in the area, but Arfana was in the back of my mind through it all and I knew I would be really disappointed if I missed out on the opportunity to work with her. Booking her for my wedding was one of the first and best decisions I made in the planning process.

From the beginning, Arfana was extremely responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with. She took the time to not only understand my vision, but to really know what my natural skin and hair is like so that she could create the best possible looks for me. She gave me hair and skincare recommendations that I still use now after the wedding. She got me to try some new things with makeup but still kept it very true to who I am. She went above and beyond in always making me feel like a priority - giving me snacks when I went in for my bridal trial, buying me the comfiest pajama set to get ready in on wedding day, pre-pleating and ironing my sarees with care to make sure they were perfect, and just being a calming presence throughout. On top of all of that, she knocked it out of the park with all of my looks (varapooja/mehendi, wedding, and reception). I had quick-changes at both my pre-wedding event and my wedding and Arfana was so precise and so perfect with all of it. I received so many compliments and felt the most beautiful that I have ever felt. I’m SO happy that I went with Arfana for my big day and can't recommend her enough!

Arfana was truly the best MUPA I could have asked for. She helped me develop and perfect all my looks. I did 5 looks with her for my Indian wedding and they all were FANTASTIC. Her insane attention to detail and timeliness was so appreciated. She made me feel so beautiful and confident in my skin. I even had to do a quick change during the baarat and she was so helpful to make sure it all went smoothly. Working with her was like working with an old friend who had your back at all times.
