I hired A*Rey Makeup artistry for my hair and makeup for my wedding on 1/7/2023.
From the very first conversation I had with Amanda before I even booked her, I knew she was *the one*. It felt like I was talking to a long-time friend rather than a vendor. I felt extremely comfortable with her and I just knew that her and Rachel were going to take good care of me and my family/friends.

For my wedding day I wanted a makeup artist that specializes in natural glam, which is where Amanda’s skills and talent really shine! She really knows how to make your eyes pop and skin glow.

Rachel is equally fantastic in her speciality of hair. She can do ANYTHING- updo’s, straight, curly, you name it. I personally have very fine hair that makes buns look small and weak. Rachel performed MAGIC by actually making my bun look full and thick. She is also open to using any hair accessories you bring and let’s you chose where it goes. Another family member has short hair and has trouble with updo’s. Again, Rachel worked magic and managed to give her a bun!

On the day of the wedding, Amanda, Rachel, and their team of assistants were punctual, cohesive, time efficient, professional, and of course, extremely talented. It felt like hanging out with your girlfriends doing hair and makeup for fun. They helped create a positive, stress-free environment for the morning of the wedding. They were friendly and listened to everyone’s different desires and delivered it flawlessly with a smile.

Also, I’d like to note that all of the 9 female hair and makeup (myself, the bride, included) lasted ALL day and night. Not a strand of hair was out of place or makeup smudged or faded. Long-lasting perfection from 8 AM to 11 pm.

I really could not have asked or wanted anything more. I am so lucky and so happy I was blessed to have A*Rey Makeup Artistry as my makeup & hair team. I would 100% recommend them to anyone having a wedding, I promise you will not be disappointed!

Amanda seriously did THE most beautiful job! I looked absolutely stunning and the best part is that everyone one else did too and was so happy with their final look. I had girls from 70 to 21 and she was able to make us all feel and look amazing! I can not recommend her enough ❤️

Amanda was one of my favorite vendors we had for our wedding last month. From the initial trial to the day-of, she was an absolute pleasure to work with. My mother worked as an artist doing bridal makeup for many years so finding an artist that she was also pleased with was a high priority for me.

Amanda's communication was so transparent and timely, which was much appreciated during all the chaos leading up to the big day. When it comes to her services and skillset, she surpassed all expectations and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. I wanted to look like myself, but definitely more glam, nothing to heavy or excessive.

Amanda also covered all the little details, from proper education to a fully-equipped bridal kit that she gifted me to ensure I was prepared for the rest of the day. We loved getting ready with Amanda, who was more like a friend at this point, (and Breanna who was there to help with half of our group) - had a lot of laughs and everyone looked gorgeous when they were done!!

Our wedding was in October so it was cool, but I sweated a lot during the dancing hours, and I was very impressed with how long my makeup lasted into the late hours of the night. (My trial was in August at 10am and my makeup lasted on a hot, rainy day into the late night hours for a wedding we attended later that day - got many compliments that day too.)

As an out-of-state bride, I had no personal/local recommendations to go off of, just reviews I found online and bridal Facebook group recommendations, which became overwhelming. Amanda messaged me to let me know that she had my date available after seeing one of my Facebook posts and her responsiveness through our conversations was so prompt and professional, I didn't want to bother waiting for any others to get back to me, I booked the trial off of a gut feeling that she was going to be a great fit.

If you're in a similar position, where you really don't know where to start your search, I highly encourage you to reach out to Amanda first - you'll save a lot of time (which is very precious when wedding planning) and won't regret it!

I cannot express enough gratitude to Amanda for making my wedding day perfect! She brought her expertise and created a special style for each and every woman there. From my 3 year old flower girl to my 81 year old grandmother, everyone felt absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend Amanda for your wedding day!

I did not use A.Rey for make up as I am not local but I do use her for all my makeup needs. I have been on a clean makeup mission and Arey was able to guide me in the right direction and spared no judgment. She has time and time again matched my color from only looking at a picture, even with products she has never used. She has been major help since I dont live next to a Sephora and with all the covid restrictions. I would use A.Rey if I was local. She is an amazing person inside and out and great at what she does.

As a mother of the bride, I recently had the pleasure of working with Amanda for my daughters wedding in October. Both the trial and the day of were a pleasure! Amanda is not only an artist but a great listener too! She is a very warm and delightful person that you will enjoy spending time with as you prepare for your special day. She takes the time to make sure she understands your vision and her goal is to make sure you are happy and go thru the day with what you envision. Highly recommended!

Amanda exceeded all of my expectations for a MUA. She was so fun, kind, patient and passionate about making sure I had the exact look I wanted for my wedding day. I know next to nothing about lipstick and when I told her a vague idea of what I was thinking she came to my trial with a new lipstick she thought would be perfect and oh man was she right. Not only did she make me look and feel beautiful she took her time with all of my bridesmaids and my mom and adjusted the look based on what they wanted/their specific skin type. I cannot recommend Amanda enough and I’ve already told all my friends who are getting married to hit her up ASAP!

Amanda was beyond helpful throughout the whole process. She was always ready to answer any questions and communicated in a timely manner. Day of she was professional, amazing at doing makeup and attentive to each girls individually wants and needs. She helped guide those who didn’t know much about what they wanted and improved those who did. I would not recommend her enough. 10\10!

Amanda did such a great job with my makeup for my sister-in-law's wedding. As the oldest bridesmaid in the bridal party, I was a bit nervous about my makeup making me look older than I am (35). I don't typically wear a lot of makeup and I didn't want to look overdone. She found the perfect balance between glamorous and simple, which is exactly what I was looking for. She taught me a few techniques that I can use with my everyday makeup too! I felt beautiful and when I look at photos I feel like I look like myself, with the exact right amount of fabulousness.

Amanda is truly wonderful! She did my make up exactly how I wanted without doing a trial first and meeting me for 5 minutes beforehand. She provided a cute little touch up bag with essentials for the rest of the day! She is so sweet and professional! Highly recommend!!
