Antiquaire is a unique wedding venue located in Highland Park, Illinois that hosts a varied collection of European antiques. Originally, this building was established in 2007 and has since gained the additional function of producing eclectic designs. Here, couples will find interesting furnishings from far off destinations. Due to continued success, Antiquaire has acquired partnerships and began a range of in-house initiatives. One such initiative was Melissa Edelman Design, which started in 2011. Melissa Edelman Design now creates and develops kitchen and dining solutions with antique elements, fitted to a modern standard. Once the neighboring building became available in 2015, it was purchased and subsequently rehabilitated by architect John van Burgen. This project unearthed various historic elements that were refined and given new life. It is also here that memorable events may take place, surrounded by antique intrigues.

Facilities and Capacity

This venue boasts a number of stunning architectural elements that are enhanced by Melissa Edelman Design. There are beautiful beams, exposed piping, and glossy black transom windows. Its open and airy feeling contributes to a clean and modern environment while the eclectic design pieces provide plenty of character. Couples and their guests will have access to a remodeled bathroom space, complete with marble and concrete accents. Various features have origins that stem from European locations, creating a refined and elegant worldly aesthetic. For those that wish to host dining parties, they will have access to a full gourmet kitchen. Sophisticated embellishments are scattered throughout the room, all crafted by Melissa Edelman Design.

Services Offered

Antiquaire invites clients to hold gatherings in their event space, using the planner of the couple’s choosing. This means that the betrothed can select to hire their own external coordinator, or they can use the in-house services. Alternatively, they are welcome to marry the two and use both. There is a wide range of antiques and accessories that couples may avail of for their celebration, and the venue is pleased to provide homemade cheesecake or macarons on request.
