We were married on the Anticipation V yacht with about 30 people in attendance. We made all the arrangements via phone and email from out of state for our destination wedding. I was extremely worried that because of not being local we would be taken advantage of, or things would just go horribly wrong during our wedding. I should not have been worried at all.

Anticipation Charters has their events down to a science. In the months before the wedding, they just kept us on track with what choices we needed to make and then took care of all the rest. When we arrived in town, we met with a crew coordinator who walked us through the timeline of our 4-hour cruise and worked closely with us to make any changes we desired to the events of the evening. They decorated the boat perfectly with all the decorations we brought to them. The captain performed our ceremony and was very funny and kind to us and our guests. Their talented chef cooked an amazing buffet meal for everyone, even accommodating a special request for a gluten-free and vegetarian meal. We brought our own iPod with a music playlist and the sound system on-board the boat was superb. No one even missed having a DJ. The bartender was very friendly and made great drinks. The included wedding cake from Ana Paz Cakes was delicious, and they coordinated its delivery flawlessly for us. Anticipation made it so easy to work with our vendors as well as theirs, and we literally just had to show up and everything was taken care of.

I can't thank the employees and crew of Anticipation Yachts enough for making our wedding night so fun and flawless. Many of our guests said it was the most unique and fun wedding they'd ever been to. I would not hesitate to have another event with them or recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding and reception that's extremely memorable.

I am only docking this company because they have communication issues between their sales department and their event coordinator. Martiza runs the sales department, and after you sign the contract, you should immediately request to talk to Marcia, or whoever is then running the events. Martiza does not know about event set-up, but routinely would answer my questions as if she did, only for me to find out the week of the wedding that she was wrong. Marcia is terrific at putting the event together- even better than you could imagine yourself.

We had a little less than 100 guests, and we couldn't beat the price for the boat, food, and alcohol. They were also so accommodating to us when our failed shuttle service forced us to move the ceremony from the church to the boat (due to an hour of wasted time). They set everything up for us to have the ceremony on the upper deck, and it was a complete wedding saver!

Food was wedding food- ok at best- but ran very smoothly and no one had any complaints. Staff was also very friendly.

We wanted something unique and different from the typical wedding venue...and it is a part of my life, the marine industry, so it was perfect! We wanted our family from the midwest to have a something special...a wedding for our guest to always remember, and us too!
We loved the venue and Paula really helped us through the process....the FOOD was amazing!! It was just a special night, but I wanted more time! It went by so fast...everyone says that, but it really did! My only big issue was staying on time with things....factor in extra time, my guests didn't barely get wedding cake because we were running out of time.

While the boat was nice, the staff didn't keep things on schedule, and didn't do a good job of advising us baised on our needs. They forced us to use a certain cake baker, who we had some real big problems with. She wanted us to have a pink basket weave cake, when we requested a white fondant cake. She refused to let us see the cake prior to the wedding, and forced us to pay months before the wedding.

I had arranged to have the yacht moved to a closer location to the parking area and paid extra for this. When we arrived at the dock there was no yacht and no one there to speak to for 30 minutes when the 1st mate finally arrived to say they couldn't move the boat even though one of their other yachts was in the berth I had reserved. They did not compensate me for this embarrassment and inconvenience in having several disabled guests have a 15 minute walk.
