My (now) husband and I live in California and had a family reunion planned in New Mexico. It was our dream to have our engagement photos taken at White Sands National Park. While searching for a travel engagement photographer, we found Anna Claire and she agreed to make the hike to NM! AC is a joy to be around and makes the shooting process effortless. She put us at ease, got us into our natural element, and made everything fun! After the engagement session she sent us a couple preview photos that night - we couldn't believe the fast turn around! The photos blew our minds; we felt like we were on the cover of a magazine! After seeing all of the images, we knew she had to capture our wedding as well! Thanks to covid we got to work with AC two more times! She came out for our civil ceremony on our original date and then again for the big fiesta in July. Anna Claire knows how to capture the moment and the emotions of everything she films. She is a beautiful person and takes the most stunning photographs! We hired Anna Claire to capture our wedding ceremony at Enchanted Rock State Park (just us and her, no guests). My wife and I were very impressed at the amount of service and support she provided throughout this experience and at the level of care and thoughtfulness she puts into her work. Anna Claire made a lot of efforts to understand how we wanted our wedding day and our wedding pictures to turn out and delivered amazing photos. On our original wedding date, Enchanted Rock was closed due to a bad winter storm. Anna Claire was flexible enough to allow us to reschedule a month later. If you need a photographer that has a high standard of excellence, truly cares about the quality of her work, and wants to make sure you have a great event, we highly recommend hiring Anna Claire.

We had the pleasure of working with Anna Claire in June of 2020, after we had to cancel our traditional May wedding due to the pandemic. We decided to elope rather than postpone and ended up doing so very last minute and with minimal preparations. Anna Claire was super flexible and accommodated us the best she could.

We had talked to her on the phone before the big day, but had not met her in person or “virtually”. The morning of our wedding was the first time we saw her. She was very personable and easy going. My then fiancé and I immediately felt comfortable around her!

She took absolutely beautiful pictures of our wedding day and was so discreet we almost forgot she was there! She provided occasional guidance and made suggestions, but was never intrusive or we never felt like the charm and romance of the day was broken or interrupted.

The results were incredibly candid, natural and romantic photographs, which is exactly what we were looking for. I feel I can relive the moments every time I look at them. She captured all the emotions and immortalized them. She did such a good job “documenting” the day that many family members and friends said they felt like they had witnessed our elopement first hand and not just through photos.

During the time she spent with us, Anna Claire also went above and beyond what we expected of her as a photographer. Three things stand out in my mind… 1) She helped me get ready and buttoned up my dress, which was no easy task! 2) She kindly offered to carry around a bottle of champagne and a heavy rug we were going to use as “prop”- in addition to all of her gear! - while my fiance and I hiked to our ceremony location. 3) She took a video that our officiant had made (couldn’t be physically present) and splice it to insert “pauses”, so that we could repeat the vows with the recording. She certainly did not have to do any go these things, but she did them anyway our of pure kindness.

Anna Claire was with us late the night of the wedding and, yet, somehow, the sneak peak were in my inbox when we woke up the next morning. We didn’t expect them and she must have worked very hard all night to get them out to us. It was a truly amazing touch. They made us so happy!

In the end, the pics came out gorgeous and she managed to make me feel and look beautiful. We received many many compliments on our photos. I couldn’t have asked for more.

We seriously cannot recommend Anna Claire enough. We were drawn to her because of her incredible skill and her selfless support of our ideas. She weaves flexibility into her schedule in order to host adventure sessions for her clients at some of the most beautiful locations in the country, which allows for an extremely fun and personal experience while capturing engagement photos or portraits with your partner. She also supported us in our decision to have an unconventional wedding, and she helped capture it through her great dedication and thoughtfulness as a photographer. She is professional but also ridiculously fun, and did whatever it took to take care of us throughout the whole experience, from wedding advice to shared conversation over a meal of breakfast burritos to carrying 6 different cameras on our wedding day. The photos are honest and beautiful and romantic and more than anything we imagined. Choosing Anna Claire as a photographer was easily the best decision we made for our intimate wedding, aside from choosing to marry each other (obviously). We cannot recommend her enough, truly!!!
