We got married in May of 2023, and - eight months later - we still can’t stop raving about Ann Coen Photography. Highly-recommended by our venue - and with a catalogue of work that spoke to her talents - Ann was squarely on our wedding day wish list. But it was after our first connect – during which she both impressed us with her expertise and heartened us with her relatability – when we truly knew that working with Ann would be one of the best decisions we could make.

At our engagement shoot on LBI, Ann immediately put us at ease with her calm and excited us with her creativity. Not only did she deliver outstanding photos (including one that we used for our save-the-date), but she took time to understand us as a couple – encouraging greater comfort in front of the camera and inspiring even greater confidence in her abilities.

In the lead-up to May, Ann used her keen understanding of “Big Day” ebbs-and-flows to help us build - and ultimately execute - a schedule that allowed us to fully enjoy ourselves (and allowed our families and bridal party to do the same). On a complete whirlwind of a day, in which you’re pulled in a million directions - and which can pass in the blink of an eye – this is nothing short of a miracle!

And on our wedding day itself, Ann left no memory uncaptured – ensuring that we not only had fantastic photos of us two, and of all the little moments and details that make the day so special, but that we also had amazing shots of the friends and family that we love so much.

We’d also be remiss not to mention Alex: our second photographer and an absolute godsend for the groomsmen! Professional and warm, Alex endeared himself to the crew – and his pre-ceremony pictures of the guys are some of our favorites!

Together, Ann and Alex seamlessly blended into the festivities: bringing a relaxed energy to the day, offering genuine support to our entire group and ultimately delivering a portfolio of photos that everyone remains in awe of. From start-to-finish, working with Ann and her team has been a spectacular experience, and we’re so exceedingly grateful to them for their work, their professionalism and their kindness.

We could not have asked for a better team than Alex and Ryan. They were both a joy to work with throughout the entire day and we felt so appreciative and grateful for their kindness and expertise throughout this entire process. From start to finish, Alex and Ryan kept us on track with our timeline, gave us such helpful suggestions, kept us smiling, and kept us calm, cool, and collected! They are also hilarious so it was truly awesome being able to spend the day with them. Also, Alex got our photos back to us in basically 1 WEEK and they are phenomenal. Our family and friends keep telling us how amazing our photos look and are astounded at the quick turnaround.
During the planning process, it was a true pleasure working with Alex and discussing our timeline and breakdown of the day. It's so clear that the Ann Coen team has such incredible expertise and it shows so much in the way they execute their service and share their guidance about best practices. We felt so supported during the planning process, which made the wedding day feel like a breeze.

We hired Ryan as our photographer for our wedding at Hotel LBI in LBI, NJ. Ryan was very familiar with the venue and had great recommendations for beautiful backdrops and the best spots to take pictures. Ryan was responsive and detailed in the planning ahead of time, and prompt and focused throughout the entire day. Ryan’s expertise and confident attitude helped me to relax and therefore I was able to be present in each moment and truly enjoy the day. Ryan captured incredible photographs. The snapshots hold memories that will last a lifetime. He also got great candid shots of our guests and special moments throughout the day. During cocktail hour, we slipped away across the street from Hotel LBI to the bay to take some sunset photographs. The results were spectacular. Working with Ryan was an absolute dream! The pictures clearly speak for themselves!

1000/10! A venue recommendation. We used Alex Rivera as our main photographer as Ryan Johnson as his second shooter and we sure had a dream team the day of our wedding! He does a lot of venues down in LBI so I knew I couldn’t go wrong. I was a little nervous at first because I did not meet with Alex (besides talking with him over phone) until day of wedding, moreso because he wasn’t going to know us as a couple and how we interacted together. But man, am I so happy I stuck with my gut!! He was FANTASTIC and made everything so easy and comfortable for us. I got to know him a little through Instagram and I could tell I chose the right person to capture our day as I followed him leading up to our wedding day. His photos are authentic and he captures your love perfectly and it’s main reason why I went with him in the first place. After doing my research, his pictures from other weddings looked stunning and natural- not overly edited which is exactly what I was trying to find.

He was super professional right from the start and just easy to get along with. Alex made us feel comfortable and never awkward, from solo shots to couple shots to group shots just went naturally. He knew my venue like the back of his hand. Knew all the right spots for photos, had great ideas, took us to a first look spot not far from venue - all I said is I wanted water in background and he had the perfect location, got us on the rooftop for sunset (he already knew what time sun was setting by our final meeting) and made family photos so easy, didn’t even need to give him a list (I did write one out incase but didn’t need to use it) just goes to show he is very experienced and knows what he is doing. My entire family cannot stop raving about how easy he made it and how professional he was.

I also want to say A HUGE THANK YOU to him, because I truly believe he is a BIG part of the reason my day was smooth sailing. He is very laidback, funny and keeps calm. Never makes you feel rushed and always reassures you that there will be time for everything so stay relaxed and go with flow. Even if it’s not at exact time from original plan. And it’s exactly what I did and I’m very grateful for that. I now believe a photographer can either make your day or ruin it and he absolutely made my day a dream.

I cannot recommend him more and will be definitely using him for future events!

We hired Ann Coen for our engagement and wedding photos and were definitely not disappointed!! Our wedding venue gave us a list of preferred photographers (always good to go with one of those, as they know the venue and best shots), and after looking at their portfolios online (along with input from my father-in-law who is an art photographer) we resoundingly chose Ann! We wanted someone who didn't over-expose photos and could take both staged (but not look staged) and candid shots, who knew how to pose and frame a scene well.

From the beginning she was a pleasure to work with, and always busy/high in demand, which is a good sign! However, despite her busy schedule, she was able to accommodate our equally busy schedule, especially when coming up to NYC to do engagement photos--which came out perfectly. She took a few hours to ensure we got all the shots we wanted, and really made it a fun and natural outing. She was great at keeping us comfortable so the photos didn't look staged.

Since she's such a pro and knew the venue well, we really didn't need to plan much before the big day! I sent her a list of the photos I wanted taken (family, bridesmaids, etc.) and she got all of them- quickly enough that we were actually able to enjoy some of our cocktail hour, but not so quickly that they felt rushed. All of our family said they came out superbly and that everyone looked good in the extended family photo, which is a near-impossible feat!

The bridal photos made me feel like a model/princess, and I'm certain I'll never look so good again in my life (a testament to Ann's photography as well as my hair and makeup team). She even helped me figure out how to put on my veil!! Seriously, she's a master at this and with you during that crucial hour before the ceremony, so she's not only a photographer, but a calm lifeline who has been to hundreds, if not thousands, of weddings.

She had a team member (whose name I've embarrassingly forgot) join her to take photos of the guys while she was focusing on me, and then to tag-team during group shots with interesting angles and for candids during the reception. The bridal party was running late but we still got all of the photos we wanted. Throughout the event Ann would steal us for sunset shots, night shots, etc., and it was actually a really wonderful chance to reconnect with my husband and just have some alone time. I'm really grateful for those moments, and for the photos that came from them!

We were less focused on reception candids, although they got a bunch! They were a mix of natural and artsy, and really focused on the moments when guests were clearly having a great time!

Our biggest question is- we have 1000 amazing photos, and did early single shot Ann take end up perfect (I am NOT photogenic) OR did she take 2000 photos and sent us the top 1000? Because we have SO many stunning memories from this event thanks to her, and it was almost impossible to pick just one photo for our thank you card. Magic!

Lastly, Ann/her team so thoughtfully sent MORE THAN ONE special memento (for free!) with photos from our two shootings, which was just a very personal, sweet extra touch. She really cares, and in amazing value for the extremely high quality and all that you get!

To say that Ann is amazing is an understatement. Out of all of the vendors we booked I was most nervous about the photographer because they are the most personal vendor you will book the day of your wedding. After multiple phonecalls prior to our wedding Ann helped to put our minds at ease, had a structured timeline, and a plan moving forward for the day of our wedding. She listened to all of our wants and needs and made magic happen on our wedding day. From the second she arrived, she was in control of the photography portion and other vendors that needed to follow her lead. She was extremely personable, easy going, and funny. She will go to any measure to get “the shot” for any of her brides. For example, she knew I really wanted a sunset picture and the sun was setting quickly - so I took off my shoes and ran with Ann to the prime sunset spot. She then proceeded to roll up and down the grass hill and was upside down at one point capturing the perfect sunset photo of us and the photo was nothing short of stunning.

Accompanying Ann was Alex, her assistant photographer, who was with the groom and his guys. Alex is very personable, funny and knew just how to get the guys to relax and have fun with the process. He made sure the guys looked sharp and had huge smiles on their faces. He was also able to get really genuine shots with the group. Ann’s work speaks for itself but is also shown by the people she works with and they know exactly what she wants and how to work efficiently.

If I could give more than a five star rating I would - Ann is one in a million! Her work is extraordinary, Alex is the best right hand man she could ever want, and they are both so down to earth which makes the wedding day experience extremely enjoyable and stress free.

We got married on 8/28/21 and had Ann as our photographer.
I love pictures so they were super important to me and when we had seen her work, we just knew.
We got one of the packages which included our engagement session (which went so well and she gave us tons of pictures that came out amazing). It was a good indicator of what working with her would be like-she is so laid back yet gets all the pictures in. Her work truly speaks for itself. We hired Tony who is a part of her team for videography, he was great as well as our other photographer, Ryan Johnson. They made the day easy and fun. It was a windy day but Ann still made sure I got a few shots that I had wanted out on the water. When we got the pictures back, It didn't even look like a windy day. Basically anything I had asked for, we got! Ann also made sure my timeline went smoothly before the ceremony and got all the pictures in.

We received our pictures back so quickly! Apart of our package, she designed our thank you cards too, which came out so beautiful! I would recommend her in a heartbeat! Ann captured all of the important moments and didn’t leave anything out. Between the engagement and wedding photos, I truly had such a hard time picking out favorites because every picture came out amazing-even people I showed the albums to said the same.
She's a true professional and made our wedding day.

Ann was recommended to us when we were looking for a photographer for our wedding. When I looked through her work selections on her website and had a chance to speak with her myself, I knew without a doubt we had to work with her for our wedding day.
Her work speaks for itself. To me, her style is fun, glamorous, beautiful, joyful. The way she captures lighting and the rays of sunshine outdoors is absolutely stunning. All of the wonderful, blissful, once in a lifetime emotions and moments are so perfectly reflected in each of her photos.
When I saw my own wedding photos, I was truly in awe. It had been one thing to get a sense of Ann's style looking at examples of her work, but seeing our own wedding through her lens was incredible. I honestly look at them and have the feeling of an out of body experience and cannot believe that they are actually our pictures. They are so indescribably spectacular and beautiful.
Beyond being just extraordinary photographers (and videographers!), Ann and her team are an awesome balance of fun, chill, go-with-the-flow energy, while being incredibly detail oriented and on top of everything. I cannot tell you how appreciative we were for this! We got every photo we wanted and needed, at every location, on time, and just had the greatest time with Ann and the crew.

Ann, we felt so incredibly lucky and grateful for the chance to have you capture our wedding day. Our photos and wedding video are so extraordinary, and we will cherish and enjoy them for a lifetime!!

My (new) husband and I legitimately had SO MUCH FUN taking photos with Alex after our ceremony. I was expecting it to be something we just needed to get through, but he made it relaxing and enjoyable and we honestly think of it as one of our most treasured parts of our wedding day. Our families also commented on how great he was. We rescheduled and downsized due to the pandemic and Alex was super patient and chill when I didn't know much about what our plan was until a week or so before the wedding. And on top of all that, the photos are INCREDIBLE. Would give him 50 stars if I could! Recommend to anyone!
