I have been part of the wedding industry for a decade, so it was really important to me to have someone who not only delivers quality, professional, stunning natural light photography, but also someone I knew would be relaxed and engaged with the importance of our day. Amber delivers on all fronts. She listens to what the couple desires, she is kind and relaxed, she is detailed and thorough, and her work speaks for itself. Beyond all this, she shoots film alongside her digital work. Shooting film is not easy and it requires the photographer to have more of an investment in the images that she is capturing. WOW-- I don't even know where to begin. Hiring Amber for our Schweitzer Mountain wedding was one the best decisions along our entire planning process. I could not have asked for a better experience or more talent from anybody, seriously. My husband and I were so impressed with her and Peter's tact, professionalism, easy going yet focused personalities on our big day which brought sun, wind, cold, rain, even snow at the Schweitzer summit. Showcasing their veteran partnership, they adapted with grace while their talent truly came shining through despite the unpredictable elements. Their humble and warm personalities were a welcomed addition to the bridal/groom suites prior to our first look. Our 'sneak peek' photos were delivered so quickly...within the week! We are floored with how beautiful and dramatic they are. After scouring Spokane/CDA/Sandpoint photographers I kept coming back to Amber's website and Instagram feed. It was obvious she had a love for the outdoors and natural light and her work truly reflects that. For me, capturing all the little intimate moments and natural beauty on our day was just as important as the standard bridal and family portraits. I didn't have a wedding planner so I really appreciated Amber's timely and thorough communications along the way: what she provided, what she needed from me, and how we could work together. I had a lovely consultation meeting with her after I hired her which further solidified our decision. I would encourage every bride to go with their gut but also do their homework. Amber was probably the best decision I made regarding my wedding besides choosing the best husband ever. She took AMAZING photos and was fantastic day of. Our schedule got a little bit behind and she was flexible. She made sure I always felt comfortable and that we were able to take moments to breathe throughout the whole experience. She shoots in film and digital, both turn our beautiful! Multiple people told me how wonderful she and her husband (her shooting assistant) were the entire day. You HAVE to get Amber as your photographer! I love the photographs so much! She knows how to work really well with natural light, old and young, and to make it feel candid and very "you"! I loved her and would recommend her to every single person! I even got stung by a wasp three times seconds before our first look and she was able to make me feel better, make sure someone got ice for the swelling, and made it an experience I could laugh about. I loved her! Book ahead so you can have her shoot your wedding. You won't regret it!
