If you're looking for a photographer who is incredibly talented and a joy to have by your side on your wedding day, we can't recommend Amanda highly enough.

She was warm, friendly, easy to work with, and a great communicator throughout the entire process. She had several practical suggestions for how to structure the time line so we had plenty of time for our first look, family photos, etc. She had a knack for helping even the most camera-shy members of our wedding party and family look comfortable and natural. After the wedding, many of our guests commented on how kind she was and how she always seemed to be in the right place to capture every moment.

We received a beautiful set of highlight photos just a week and a half after the wedding, and our full gallery seven weeks after the wedding. When we opened it, we were blown away. The formal portraits are beautiful, but our favorite images are the candid ones. Amanda captured so many genuine moments, from heartfelt hugs to family members making their signature goofy faces. One of our favorite touches (which we didn't realize she would do) was photographing our guests as they arrived at the ceremony in their wedding best. We were able to send those photos to family members and friends as part of our thank yous which they loved.

Amanda didn't just photograph our wedding—she captured what the day felt like. We couldn't be happier with our experience and would recommend her for anyone getting married in the Charlottesville area.

I first connected with Amanda via her WeddingWire profile, and decided to work with her for our September 2019 engagement session and September 2020 wedding day session. We knew we were in good hands when Amanda met us for the first time at our engagement shoot. She walked the venue with us and helped us pre-plan all of the important shots that we wanted captured. Then, she crawled around the edge of Raven's Roost Overlook to get the most beautiful mountainside shots for our engagement session. When the pandemic started, planning a wedding became extremely difficult amidst ever changing safety regulations and guidelines. Amanda stuck by our side throughout the entire process, and reassured us by helping to pivot and provide alternate ideas and solutions. When we finally received our wedding day photos back, after the stress and chaos had settled a bit, it was so nice to be afforded an opportunity to re-live the day with a fresh set of eyes. Amanda captured all of the posed moments that we requested, but our favorite shots have been the candid ones of not only us, but of our friends and family as well. Amanda captured so much of our personalities and the love and energy that was in the room that evening, and it was an absolute pleasure working with her for our wedding.

Hire Amanda! She did an engagement shoot to capture my proposal and take engagement photos immediately afterwards, and the photos turned out spectacularly. Everything exceeded expectations, and she was an absolute pleasure to be around. We were able to fully enjoy the proposal and had a great time throughout. We tried to hire her for our wedding, but it was in a completely different place and the timing didn't work.

We chose Amanda for her beautiful portfolio and photojournalistic style, and we are so happy with our photos. She was more than a photographer for us--she was a friend. My husband and I were planning to have a big wedding in July 2020, but we postponed it to a small family gathering in July 2021. Amanda was very flexible--she even refunded us money from our deposit because the small gathering was a smaller task than a big wedding! Since we wanted to change venues for the July 2021 event, Amanda suggested different venues. We told her which one we wanted to use, and she said she would arrange the venue for us.
