In 1939, Eddie Gall opened a small tavern on the western end of Downers Grove, serving ham sandwiches prepared from freshly baked bone in hams. The family tradition started then and continued for 68 years at the Belmont Road location with an expanded building; now the tradition continues at our new building at 440 Ogden Avenue.
