Lisa and Kelly at Alpha Studio did a great job on my make-up and hair for the wedding and that of my maid of honor and my husband's best lady! Since I don't live in Baltimore, I selected Alpha Studio because it was an Aveda salon and, thus, knew the make-up would look naturally beautiful. I loved Lisa's make-up job right out of the gate during my initial trial. And Kelly patiently worked with me until I was 100% satisfied with my low up-do. I was really happy with both my hair, which held up all night, and make-up on my wedding day. Also, the salon was a relaxing atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. They recommended Little Havana as a wedding after-party bar and it was perfect - thanks ladies!

I used my regular salon, Alpha Studio in Baltimore, for my wedding day hair and makeup. The owner, Jill Sell, did my hair; and Lisa did my makeup. I cannot express enough how amazing of a job these two did! I went in for my trial a few weeks before, and Lisa took her time with me to figure out exactly what I wanted for the big day. She wrote everything down, and had no problem changing or tweaking things as we went along. Jill listened to my ideas, and then suggested something a little more elegant and romantic for my hair. I was definitely impressed with her knowledge and skill after the trial. On the day of the wedding, both my hair and makeup turned out even 100x better than the trial! These two were amazing! I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup....people thought I looked like a 40s movie star, which is a major change from my normal pony tail and bare face! The hair and makeup went so well with my dress. Again, I am still amazed at how lovely everything turned out. I cannot recommend Lisa and Jill enough! Their pricing was also very reasonable, which was another plus.

Lisa did my make-up (and my MOH) and Kelly did my hair- I felt so beautiful that day, and it is 100% thanks to them. I did a practice make-up session with Lisa and she worked with me to pick out the colors I would feel the most comfortable with, since I never wear make up. I looked GORGEOUS. And Kelly did a great job with my short, fine hair- I knew I didn't want a wedding up do and I refused to grow out my hair for one day, but she managed to make my hair look incredible and my friends loved how I looked.

Heather at Alpha studio did both my hair and make-up equally well for the ceremony. A couple of girlfriends accompanied me to the salon (no bridesmaids for me!), and we had a very nice relaxing time. The studio is centrally located in Fells Point. I am not a daily make-up wearer, and requested a natural look so that I didn't look too different from my usual self, and Heather delivered perfectly. She is also freckled and red-haired, so understood my coloring well. She re-created a side up-do perfectly from a photo, and everything stayed in placed well past midnight despite tears (happy) and lots of dancing! I didn't have time to come in for a trial for either make-up or hair, and Heather was fine with that. Very positive experience!
