About
Across the Pond is a wedding band and more. We have a large repertoire of traditional and Celtic music, and can help you plan the music for your wedding. If you don't find lovely tunes for you processionals and recessional from our repertoire, we can learn songs for your wedding.
We can also provide a highland piper to lead guests to and from locations, or to pipe you into the reception. We have helped create receptions with Irish set dances and instruction as shown in a couple of the photos. We have also performed for receptions with our champion-level Irish step dancer who can very quickly get your guests on their feet and having fun.
Please visit our band wedding page to learn more about our philosophy and what we can do to help make your wedding most memorable. We have always received excellent comments which can be found on the "More - testimonials" tab on our webpage.
Our prices are tailored to what you need. They have ranged from $1500 to $5000 depending on a multitude of factors, including location and travel costs; portions of the wedding you'd like us to provide music; number of special songs we must learn for dances; whether or not you'd like to incorporate Irish set dances or Irish step dances into you reception; the number of locations and number of sound systems we must set up; and a fe wother factors. We will work hard to try to stay within your budget as much as possible.
Our past bookings have been primarily word-of-mouth. We work hard to provide professional, authentic Celtic music. We pay attention to detail and show up on time. We are flexible and easy to work with. We respect the "employer-employee" relationship, and we clean up after ourselves. We have become good friends and 'part of the family' of many of the couples that we provided wedding music over the years.
