Let me start by saying I sampled cake from several local bakeries and this cake was by far the most delicious! Daniel was a joy to work with and the entire process was simple. Loved the huge variety of flavors and the dedication to executing our vision for our big day. I cannot recommend Above & Beyond Cakes enough!

I cannot say enough good things about Above & Beyond Wedding Cakes. The work they did was absolutely remarkable. When we ask for a custom wedding cake with salmon on it there was a small fear of what it would look like, but they knocked it out of the park. The cake looked fantastic and tasted even better. The amount of flavor choices and combinations available allows you to pick EXACTLY what you are looking for. We chose to have a 3-tiered cake along with cupcakes and we were able to include 4 different flavors/combos. All of the flavors we tried were so yummy, we couldn’t pick just one! And let me tell you, the banana cake with peanut butter buttercream frosting is TO DIE FOR.
Daniel is extremely responsive throughout the planning process, and allowed us to make changes to our cake flavors and design even within a couple weeks of our wedding date. And Meghan and Courtney are some of the most talented cake designers and creators I have ever seen - please refer to their instagram page to see examples!
Needless to say, we couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Above & Beyond Cakes for our wedding! We cannot wait to order from them again in the future!

Above and Beyond Cakes did an amazing job on our wedding cake! The unique flavors and friendly owners are why we went with them. We did not even look anywhere else for Cakes because after the cake tasting we were sold! We were able to design our cake right there based off of pictures we liked and it was the easiest part of the entire wedding planning process! We had a three layered cake with the following flavors: churro flavored with Carmel cake, an oreo with chocolate mousse, and a strawberry with cheesecake frosting cake. Each layer was fantastic! Guests were raving about the unique flavors and loved that it wasn’t plain vanilla or chocolate. We booked Above and Beyond Cakes in December for our wedding in August. Daniel one of the owners checked in with me throughout those months to see if I needed to update anything I thought that was so considerate!
They delivered the cake and it was gorgeous! When we cut into it tasted even better than the cake tasting! We can’t thank them enough for such a wonderful cake!

I'm going to be honest, I really did not want a wedding cake, but my in-laws insisted. I'm glad that they did because THIS CAKE WAS DA BOMBBBBB.

The wedding cake tasting was SO fun. I was able to have 4 people, so it was me and my dude, plus my niece and nephew.

Every tasting was AH-MAZ-ING. We ended up going with pink champagne and carrot cake. They also offer a free groom's cake so the groom can get a flavor that he likes if he isn't really into what the bride chose.

We decided to keep the design simple, and they came up with the great idea to use the pattern of my wedding dress as the pattern on the cake. It was simple and beautiful (we added our own Sacramento Kings topper to the top--this was not part of their design...but I bet they would've done it if I had asked!!)

I also love that we didn't need to freeze the top tier. They will make you a new top tier for your one year anniversary!! Nice, fresh, delicious cake.

We had our wedding reception at Arden Hills so the cake was included with our chosen reception package, a deal in and of itself. Daniel and Meghan were extremely helpful and responsive from the moment I contacted them to start the cake choosing process. We had a cake tasting appointment set-up in no time, with guidance on what to choose ahead of time for sampling. It was a tough decision for sure! I'll be honest, I'm usually a "the more sugar, the better!" kind of cake girl, but I know not everyone likes that. Above & Beyond's cakes were light and fresh, absolutely delicious. Not overly sweet but with tons of flavor, all my guests loved them just as much as I did. And it looked beautiful as well! We had a coffee Kahlua cake with caramel mousse filling, and a lemon cake with cream cheese filling. We also had a little cake for just the two of us, in case we missed out on the big one (ha, like I'd miss those!) which was banana with chocolate buttercream. It was divine. On top of all this, I requested a groom's cake as a surprise for my husband in a baseball theme. Daniel helped me work through what I wanted to see and it turned out perfectly. There were all sorts of little touches and surprises Daniel and Meghan did for us that made our whole experience from start to cake devouring a wonderful process, and I would go to them again in a heartbeat!

We loved our wedding cake! The plan was to order a small two tier cake for pictures. The design and service went beyond our expectations. The cake was moist and delicious; we choose a strawberry champagne cake with whipped cream and strawberry filling. Everyone who got a piece raved about it!
