Our Story

We're STEVE & TAWNY. Steve is an aviation electrician, and Tawny is a student. Steve was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and that's where we want our wedding to take place. Tawny was born and raised in the San Francisco, CA area. We met on a cold January day at a local Dairy Queen and it was lust at first sight ;) We met up again just two days later and have literally been inseperable ever since.

Our Wedding Plans

We're having a pretty unconvential wedding! We plan on getting married at the Phillies Stadium (aka Citizens Bank Park) in Philadelphia, PA. Our reception food will consist of cheesesteaks, hot dogs, soft pretzels, and Yuengling beer. The whole wedding and reception will be very casual. Tawny is a huge music buff and plans on using non-traditional songs in the wedding ceremony. The wedding and ceremony will feature a red, white, blue, and grey color scheme, focusing mainly on white and blue, with red and grey accents. Tawny is planning on wearing a simple empire waisted dress and Steve will wear a casual tux with no tie. The bridesmaids will not be wearing the same dresses, but they will be the same color (blue). The groomsmen will be wearing casual tuxedos as well, to match the groom, and the colors will be opposite of the groom's tux. The maid of honor will be wearing the same dress as the bride, but hemmed shorter and dyed grey. The best man will be wearing the same tuxedo as the groom but in grey as well. There will be three cakes; a traditional three-layer wedding cake, a groom's cake, and a sheet cake for guests with the same flavors as the traditional wedding cake. The traditional cake will be white with chocolate filling, frosted white with blue and red accents. The groom's cake will be a strawberry cheesecake, frosted white. Flowers at the ceremony and reception will be white and blue with grey ribbons.

Our Advice

Tawny's only advice is this-- Contrary to popular bridezilla belief, the wedding is not all about you. The wedding is about the celebration of two people in love. Include your husband-to-be in every step of planning. Ask him to taste cakes, let him pick his tux, ask his opinion on music, food, etc. It's his happy day too!
