Wedding details
The short version is that we met at a New Year's Eve party through a mutual friend. He persued me for three weeks before I realized I was actually developing feelings for him and then I fell like a ton of bricks! Four months later we were handfasted, two months after that we moved in together and two years later he popped the question on the bank of a little creek by his parents' house. That was May 24th, 2009 so here I am trying to plan a wedding for October 16th, 2010! I am totally looking forward to spending the rest of my life with this man! The Proposal Story (Short Version) Two weeks before he proposed he PURPOSELY picked a fight with me that ended in him saying "I don't see the point in getting married! It's just a piece of paper!" For two weeks I was completely depressed and doubting our whole relationship. His mom calls, they've closed on their new house and need help moving into it. The Thursday night before, I get home from work and he's out at a bar with his sister -- she's having a rough day and he wants to cheer her up. He comes home late and acts weird the rest of the evening. We head up to his mom's the next day and spend two days helping them move. On Sunday his mom declares a day of rest. He decides he's going to go out to their old house (in the country) and take one last walk around the lake for sentimentality's sake. I opted to stay with his mom and sister, but his sister YELLED at me, "NO! You have to go with Taylor because I never get to spend time ALONE with my MOM!" I was totally put off, but I went with him so his sister would chill out. When we get to the house I start putting on my sneakers and rolling up my pants thinking we were going on a hike. We cross the creek and he's pointing out the crawdads and he crouches down on the rocky bank and hands me a rock saying, "This is pretty, we should take it home." I take the rock from him and admire it and then start to put it in my pocket when I hear him say, "I can't give you the world, but I can give you my neverending love." I turn to look at him and he's CRYING and holding up the ring box to me. He finished his proposal (I can't remember any of it now, I was too busy crying and checking out this amazing little ring he found for me) and we cry and laugh and hug a lot and then IMMEDIATELY start planning the wedding. hahaha Before we got back to the house we had picked out the season, colors and wedding party. LOL There's a LOT more to it, but that's all I have room for here.

730Is anyone taking out the garter removal and toss? I just find it awkward and would rather just skip that whole part? Anyone else thinking the same thing or is it best to follow strange tradition?
Ok so how do you feel about guest from your wedding taking your centerpieces after the wedding?
The one who KNOWS IT ALL? I mean do you have 1 person related to your wedding who knows it all? * knows the perfect place and setup for your ephotos * knows the perfect color scheme and that the one...
