Rob and I are very much not a normal couple.  He, unlike most men, is caring, loving, loyal, just all out amazing.  Whereas I "allow" him to play video games, go out with the guys, and I don't freak out when he wants a night to himself lol.  To us, actually, this is how couples should be.  Trust each other, care for each other, love each other.  Don't control everything the other person is doing!  Anyway, while that's out of the way... Rob is very much a gamer.  I like video games, but I have to admit I don't play enough to give myself that proud title.  But I am obsessed with the Legend of Zelda games.  And he knows this! It felt like everyone I knew was getting engaged.  We had even just  recently been to our friends wedding earlier in the year.  Someone that was practically a sister of mine was engaged.  I was anxious for my day, but I would be patient. March 15, 2012, Rob and I had been dating two years.  We never had serious fights where we wanted to kill each other.  Yes, we had moments of driving each other crazy and small struggles along the way, but the struggles made us stronger and we never even came close to breaking up.  About a week after our anniversary, Rob mentioned that we should go down to the water just to walk around.  It was a nice day and he wanted to take advantage of it. Down at the beach, it was crowded and windy.  Not what he was expecting.  We walked down to a rock wall, still many people around, but mentioned if we went on the other side we could be alone and the wind wouldn't be so bad.  I was freezing, so I didn't actually want to stay.  I felt bad, but we decided to leave the beach.  While driving, Rob kept saying he wanted to stop by somewhere but didn't know where.  He kept asking me but being the social hermit that I was, I had no clue.  Finally we stopped and sat by a pond close to his house. Being the gamer that he is, he pulled out his 3DS.  I teased him as he started playing Zelda, and then he laughed and told me he found an easter egg in the intro screen.  He put the DS in my hands and told me to go to the intro screen.  I did so, then he told me to press start. "But that will just bring it to the file selection," I said. "I know, just press it."  I shrugged and pressed.  I was stunned by what I saw.  Sarah, Will You Marry Me? Because it was Zelda, each line had 3 hearts next to it.  He didn't put them in but it was just perfect.  I nearly passed out.  I had to hold back screams of  excitement!  I tackled Rob in a hug, sobbing, repeating yes over and over. It was the most exciting night of my life.  I'll never forget it!
