We absolutely LOVED Adam Sparkes. Adam was so great throughout the entire wedding planning process, during the engagement session, during the wedding itself, and afterward. He made us feel so comfortable around the camera, and our wedding party and other guests really enjoyed him. He also worked really well with the little kids in the wedding party and got some beautiful shots. He is so easy to work with that it's almost like he and Andrew were family friends by the end of the night. Even my mother, who is a hard woman to please, enjoyed Adam's professional yet flexible demeanor.
One thing I particularly like about Adam is that he is a talented photojournalist who understands that wedding photography is about what YOU need as the client. I have found that some photojournalists take the art of wedding photography so seriously that they don't really pay attention to your needs. Some photojournalists won't take posed photos at all, others don't want ANY input as far as angle, lighting, etc. I have nothing against photojournalists that work this way, but that kind of attitude and goals just did not coincide with ours. With Adam, we felt he understood how much our wedding meant to us and that he wanted the entire wedding photography experience to be a happy, memorable, and personalized one.
Adam works well with what YOU want, taking as much or as little input as you want to give. For example, we wanted most of our photos to not be "posed photos", but knew we needed to at least have some posed photos for our album and our parents. Some photojournalists put a limit on the number of posed photos - with Adam, it's no problem.
On the flip side, Adam took some GREAT candid, photojournalistic shots that I absolutely adore. For example, my father is usually a person who smiles all the time in public. Adam actually caught a few shots of my father before I walked down the aisle, where my father was sitting in the limo very deep in thought, with my mother watching him carefully. These, along with many others, were priceless images that I would not have otherwise caught myself.
We could go on and on about Adam, but the bottom line is that he was our favorite of ALL of our wedding vendors.

Christina Licari did a fabulous job on my makeup. She also was very instrumental getting me prepared for my wedding day months beforehand by starting a beauty regimen to fit my skin (which NO one else has been able to do!) and given me fabulous facials.
For hair, I used Amanda Alagna, who did a fabulous job once I could find a photo of what I wanted.
I highly recommend the following staff at Kimi K, all of whom either I or my wedding party booked:

Ana Skidmore and her assistant (Shawn) were very helpful and were an important part of my wedding being a success. I do not believe that I would of had as smooth of a day/night nor as good a time had they not been there. They were available and anticipated things I might need before I even thought of them. I'm sure that there was even more that they did behind the scenes that I was not even aware of!
A few bonuses I did not expect: 1. VERY available over e-mail 2. Communication w/other vendors & confirmation 3. Getting rid of several maids' dress stains and repinning flower girl halos 3. Ana and Shawn's ability to calm me down before I walked down the aisle - it was kind of lonely/sad for me to wait at the end of the line, and they kept me calm
The painting arrived in perfect condition, and as soon as I opened the box, it totally took my breath away! I LOVE it! Betty captured the colors and the theme of our wedding so perfectly. I adore the hints of gold and swirls from our invitation design that Betty incorporated into the painting.
