Mike and his team at the PAA provided unparalled service on our wedding day and long before. From our first meeting the morning of our engagement until the moment we left the reception, my husband, family and I felt cared for by Mike and his responsive staff. The PAA?s food was delicious, esepcially given that there was another wedding going on at the same time. I haven?t heard from one guest that the food tasted like typical catering hall wedding food. Mike is also ultra organized and responsive and made me feel as if our reception was the most important event he?d worked all year. I would recommend the PAA most highly to other Pittsburgh brides or those having an event in the area.
I cannot say enough about the quality of service and product we received from Gidas Flowers. The floral expert, Carole, as well as the store owner, Laurie Gidas, was beyond helpful when it came to our flowers for the wedding. With a large bridal party, I had the daunting task of keeping all floral touches to a $1000 budget. When I told Carole this, she made it happen perfectly. When I received our bouquets the day of the wedding they almost brought me to tears. They were exactly as we had requested and more. Beyond this extraordinary attention to details, both Carole and Laurie were always kind, prompt and willing to listen. When I missed a meeting due a family emergency they were so understanding and concerned, I felt like they were members of our family. I cannot recommend Gidas flowers enough to Pittsburgh brides.
Working with Dozen was at times frustrating. While our initial consult with the owner of the bakeries, James, was very promising, however, near the end (2 days before our wedding to be exact) our order had still not been placed correctly despite sending multiple emails regarding the flavors of cupcakes desired. Ultimately, though, our guests loved the cupcakes and the presentation was beautiful. If Dozen is able to hire an adept catering manager to handle weddings I would gladly recommend their services to any Pittsburgh bride.
I cannot say enough how pleased my husband, my family and I are with Jeremy?s service at our wedding reception. From my first 1 hour phone conversation with Jeremy a year before our wedding to the laid back and friendly final meeting the weekend before, Jeremy felt less like a vendor and more like a friend who cared greatly about ensuring that our wedding reception was everything we dreamed of. And boy was it! The play lists and reception planner that Jeremy has for his cleints online made planning and detailing our reception a snap (Plus my husband LOVED the online too! Props to Jeremy for making it fiance-friendly!). The day of Jeremy worked excellently with other reception vendors to enusre that we followed the very important timeline and that the evening flowed smoothly. And the party was amazing. I?ve never seen a dance floor packed all night. With an excellent mix of songs we requested for both young and old, I haven?t had one complaint about our musical stylings for the night. Without hesitation, my brother and his fiance booked Jeremy for their 2010 wedding the Monday after our wedding. Jeremy is BY FAR the best wedding DJ I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
Using 5Senses? services was by far the best last minute decision my husband and I made. As a complete DIY/control-aholic bride, I needed a professional to whom I could hand off my meticulously crafted details, knowing that everything would be cared for as if I had set it up myself. To that end, Simone was willing to negotiate a price for her exceptional services and ensure that everything we needed was taken care of that day. As a wedding coordinator myself, I was thrilled with the service we received and would recommend Simone and 5Senses highly to any other bride (or anyone planning an event in the area).
