I met with the florist, unfortunately I can not tell you her name because she never once introduced herself. She was not only rude but completely and totally unwilling to work with the flowers we wanted. I told her I did not want roses or gerber daisies, I also told her I wanted to use ONLY red flowers. Like most brides, I knew what I wanted but was open to most suggestions. The bouquet she showed me had red and orange roses, orange daisies, and yellow lilies.

Mockingbird florist was a complete waste of time. The staff was not helpful, professional, or flexable in any way. There is no way I would ever recommend this florist to any bride.

I went to Kirsten with the Lily Pad after visiting another florist closer to my wedding venue. The first florist was horrible and when I contacted Kirsten the first time, I was frustrated and confused. Kirsten did a wonderful job on calming me down and explained everything to me. I met w/ her only once but after that meeting I knew everything would be taken care of.

The flowers were beautiful and more than I ever imagined. Kirsten had no problems working with my budget or my ideas. Even when some of the flowers came in less than perfect, Kirsten emailed me right away to let me. I was so happy she let me know and left it up to me weather to use them or not. She explained all the options to me and I really felt I made the best decision since I had all the options and info.

My sister is getting married in March, Kirsten with the Lily Pad will be the only florist we use.

Amazing taste, the main cake was awesome and more than I could have asked for. The groom's cake was a surprise for my future husband, and the staff took care of everything perfectly! The cake was probably the best I have ever had. I have been building this cake up for over a year, telling everyone how great it was going to be. Bronwen, Heather, and the rest of the staff came through, and I never once worried.

The staff was better than the way the store was presented. The dresses were a mess, dirty and torn. Most of them were falling off the hangers, but once I did select a dress the staff was very helpful.

I ended up purchasing the dress from the Frisco location. The situation was flipped. The store was perfect but the staff seemed rushed and put out by my sister and I. The dress did come in earlier than expected, when I went to get the dress I purchased a gown bag for the dress. The employee grabbed a bag from a box, tossed it on the counter after I paid and waked away, never offered to help put the dress in the bag.

Luckily, I didn't get the dress altered there. The employee suggested I order the dress 2 sizes too big, and I did. I should have went with my gut and ordered a smaller size, thank goodness my grandmother was able to fit my dress to my body.

We booked this DJ company for our wedding in Dallas, Texas. HUGE mistake, this was the only problem we had from the entire wedding. First we asked for a Spanish speaking DJ, didn't get one but the DJ Charles assured us he would have a Spanish speaking assistant to help him. I personally emailed Charles with a list of music likes/dislikes and the types of music to be played. We also provided a CD and list of songs to be used at specific events ( first dance, father/daughter dance, entrance, etc...) and that much he at least got right. Charles showed up at the venue WITHOUT his equipment. Luckily for him and us, the venue had the appropriate equipment. He made 2 announcements, and that was only after my husband told him how and what to do. He was late, and left early after my husband told him specifically what time he was to leave. We paid for the DJ to be there until 12:30, he left at 10:45 shortly after my husband and I did.

My husband was so upset that his "dj" almost ruined our wedding day, he emailed the "owner" the next day and spent time dealing with this over our honeymoon. Even with the small discount we got for the terrible terrible service we received, I still feel we over paid. We basically paid $350 for a guy who claimed to be a dj hit the play button on the venue's equipment. He also plaid a number of songs more than once, and plaid NO Spanish music at all. My husband's family is Mexican and loves to dance.

Very disappointing.

Direct Entertainment & Video responded with the the following comments:
1st off, the DJ did bring an assistant which the b/g were told he had limited spanish speaking ability. We did not charge any extra and did this as a courtesy to them! The DJ was told by the groom that the venue had their own system and he did not need to bring his equipment. Therefore, he brought limited equipment. We ALWAYS bring our own equipment, unless told otherwise. DJ was there one full hour prior to start time. He was NOT late. This is 1st I am hearing of this. He was told by the venue and his best man to leave at 1045pm. He was still playing at this time when the venue's staff actually asked him what he was doing. Not one guest was there except the best man and he was loading his car up outside, in which the DJ went out and asked him if okay to leave. He stated yes, no one here anymore. The reason we spent time dealing with this on the honeymoon, is b/c they insisted and I felt it best to take care of the minor complaint ASAP. They REQUESTED I call them on their honeymoon. I also refunded $145 immediatly for the DJ leaving early, even though I did not have to. James, the groom was happy with this, and thanked me for my professionalism. They also only had us booked until 12am, not 1230. We made all announecements in spanish as well as english. We wish this couple the best of luck in their new marriage.
