Teresa was great. She was laidback, non-obtrusive, and captured some great pictures of the event. She was way more than a photographer too. During the reception she made sure that I was staying hydrated, provided us direction on cutting the cake, and just was a pleasure to work with. We booked her and within the week she was shooting our engagements, which we used for our guest book. Teresa was very flexible and definitely knew what she was doing. I highly recommend Teresa! Natalie and Heidi are the best. My husband and I met with them in person and immediately felt at ease. They totally understood our vision and made great suggestions on ways to cut cost and save money. They were BY FAR the most affordable option when it came to flowers for our wedding. We got married in front of the huge fountain in Forsyth Park and they were the first ones to tell me that I shouldn't worry about flowers in front of the fountain given the setting, which was my thought exactly...but everyone else I had met with was trying to get me to commit to large arrangements, which would have been overkill and more expensive. I didn't know much about flowers and was working with a pretty difficult color when it comes to options, but Heidi and Natalie made it work. They were fabulous, the flowers were fabulous, and the day was fabulous. BOOK THEM!!
I know those are some strong ratings, but brides, please believe me when I say....STAY AWAY!!!! My husband and I live in Atlanta but our wedding was in Savannah and we decided to rent the grooms and groomsmen suits from a local business in case there were any issues. The day before the wedding, the guys went to get fitted, only to find out the Bella Mia NEVER PLACED THE ORDER!!! I had talked to them at least 3 times verifying that all measurements had been submitted, etc. but somehow the order was never placed....and this is only the beginning. I spoke with the owner, Mercedes, on the phone and she was horrible. She refused to give the guys a discount although I told her most of them came in to town a night earlier just to be there in the morning and her response to me was, "No they didn't. 90% of guests come in on Thursday anyway." What? Are you kidding me? Is this any way to talk to someone that you just royally screwed over? She refused to give a discount because she had to overnight the suits...but whose problem is that? Not mine. My guys shouldn't be penalized because of her errors. On the day of the wedding she was supposed to receive the suits by noon. When I told her the guys would be unable to come in to be fitted she was asking my 20 questions, "Why? Where are they going to be? What are they doing? When will they be done?" Honestly, it was none of her business that they were playing golf, etc. We finally decided that she would drop the suits at the hotel. Noon came and I didn't hear from her. 12:30, nothing. I called the store and the worker said that Mercedes was going to deliver them personally. I called Mercedes, her phone is off. 1:00, no suits. 1:30, no suits, no answer, nothing. The guys needed to eat, get ready, etc. because our pics started at 3:30. Finally at 2 my dad went up to the store and picked up the suits. Merceded ended up calling my phone while I was getting into my dress and was trying to ask a million questions and couldn't understand why we refused to talk to her. In short (sorry this is long), the whole situation was a disaster. Mercedes is completely disrespectful, has no customer service etiquetter, and not worth dealing with. PLEASE DO NOT USE BELLA MIA BRIDAL....PLEASE!!
My husband proposed to me with a diamond that was in his grandfather's mason ring. It was a large stone that we removed and mounted in a feminine setting. I looked everywhere for something that I liked. All the jewelers tried to show me large diamond-encrusted settings after I specifically asked for something antique-looking with minimal bling. Finally, at Solomon Brothers we received great service. They stayed open an extra 45 minutes and waited for us to make our decision. The setting I picked is beautiful. I wanted the diamond to sit a little lower so they had it customized for that. It was the most unique and surprisingly inexpensive setting that I found during the entire process. We received great service, quick turn around (they worked hard to get it back to me by Thanksgiving), and a lifetime guarantee. I recommend this for anyone who wants a nice looking selection of rings.
Dress My Chair was great. I rented my table linens from them and it was exactly what i wanted, at a fraction of the cost. It was a little difficult to choose the colors from the website so I called them up and had someone walk me through the choices. In the end, it was exactly what I wanted. I got really nice satin linens and linen runners for 15 tables for $340, including shipping and insurance. They arrived when they were supposed to and all we had to do was package them back up after the event and ship them back with the pre-addressed labels. No cleaning, no hassle. It was a great service that made our reception look wonderful.
