Our Story

Scott and I met through his mother Lori, who I was going to Concorde Career Instuitite with in the Insurance Billing and Coding Program. Lori and I became really good friends and she introduced me to her oldest son Scott. We hit it off and before we knew it we were in love.

About Brooke: When I was 20 I got pregnant with my daughter Gracie. It was an eye opener for me because i had never had to take responsibility for actions like this, i had to raise a child and i had to do that on my own. After my 21 birthday In March of 2007 my daughter Gracie Young was born. Ever since that day she is and will always be the light of my life. When she was born i never thought i would ever find the perfect guy for me never thought that i would find someone to take care of me and my daughter, to be a father to her. When i met Scott it was like he was the only person who got me. The only person i could be my true self around. From the very begining he knew that i had a daughter and he met her on our first date. As time went on he truly became her father in all the right meanings. I feel blesses to have found him and his family.

About Scott: I'm 23 years old and living the dream. I own my own home, my own cars and i have a harley davidson Motorcyle. I love these two girls more than they will ever know.

The Ring

For our wedding Bands Scott is making them out of titanium, he is a machinist so he knows how to make rings. WE are also going to get the inscibed with each others names. My engagement ring is a one stone solitar leo diamond.

Our Wedding Plans

We have chosen to have our wedding in two years because we just bought a house plus we have to save up the money to be able to have the dream wedding that I have wanted since I was a little girl. We also picked the july month because its right in the middle of the summer and we knew that we wouldn't have to worry about rain at all so we could have the outside wedding that I have always wanted.

We have decided to have the wedding at the beach. Lincoln city beach actually which is where the Chinook Winds Casino is at which is where we plan to have the ceremony on the beach next to the casino and then the reception in the ballroom.

I have a maid of honor my friend who has never doubted Scott and I's love for one another Shannon Hakala. NExt to her is Scott's youngest and only sister Rebecca who has been helping with the invitations since we are making them ourselves to save cost and also helping with picking the dress out. And my friend from school Makesia who has two sons that are also going to be joining the wedding as well as the ring bear Cody and Tyson will be holding the back train of my dress. I have chosen three colors that will be equaly shared Purple as the dress colors and silver for decorations and black for the tables and chairs. Scott has his best man Papa Rick who he has worked with at Boeing for the last three years who adores me and scott like we were his own children. Than you have his Brother Tim and best frined Dan has the grromsmen.

My flower is callie lilly which will be the bouques for me and my bridesmaids and hopefully we will have in the budget accents for the ceremony as well.

My grandfather on my mothers side has agreed to give me away at the wedding. Which means so much to me since he is the only man in my life that has been with me since i was born and i know that he loves me more than anything.

My daughter Gracie who is two at the moment is going to be the flower girl.

Our Planning Experience

So far my experience has been pretty good even though the wedding is two years away we have been able to look at venues for everything. People have been so great about everything and been helpful even though it is so far out to be booking they still show me everything that they can and have been great about the prices.

Our Advice

Advice is don't think about what everyone else is telling you, I have a friend who got married last year and she keeps trying to give me advice about planning but its all stuff that she did and she wants me to do the same and trust me that is adisater you never want to have a wedding that somoene has already done, yeah can take ideas from it but don't plann your dream around anothers dream. This is going to be your day make it what you want it to be, make it your dream
