What in the world IS quasi-casual semi-formal wear? I don't think we have it in Iowa. Shall we wear our shoes, then?

I may or may not be able to make it... it's awfully hot out in May.
Music by Anthem brought an amazing level of class to my low-key casual wedding. They played a mix of classical favorites and contemporary popular songs that kept everyone on their toes. They even were cool with a friend of mine playing a cello for my recessional music, and even later let him sit in of a few songs, which made his day. I got SO MANY compliments on them from guests, friends and family. They played everything from stuffy waltzes to a stellar version of 'Purple Haze'. They were on time, professional and worth every single penny!!!

This is a BEAUTIFUL location for anyone looking for an outdoor wedding. The location is a bit rural but it is SO WORTH it. You can book the site a year in advance. The rental is for $675, for Friday at noon to Sunday at noon, which is great for setting up, cleaning up, and NOT breaking the wedding budget. The website has little info, but trust me this place is picture perfect. There is a tiny gazebo perfect for ceremonies, a large pavillion for the reception and tons of open greenspace right on the water. Its also very private, unlike most parks where you are mingling with other people, as your rental fee covers renting the whole facility, including a lodge with areas to get ready, a full kitchen and a lounge. We paid around $1,000 to cover overnight dorm-style sleeping accommodations for friends coming from out of town on a budget. In addition the site is bursting with great photo ops for the weddings pics.
I really wanted to bring a casual, picnic feel to the wedding and nothing did that better than a tasty BBQ on-site. The Smokehouse Grill was endlessly patient with me while I ironed out the details of my guestlist and menu. They were on-time, professional and make some damn fine BBQ. There was waaaayyyy more food than I paid for, so there was never a risk of running out of anything no matter how much my guests hogged away. They were reasonably priced and provided awesome service!
While this isn't technically a FLORIST, this is a place for frugally minded brides to go and get killer deal on gorgeous fresh flowers. This is a floral wholesaler that has a walk-up warehouse where you can walk thru refrigerator rooms filled with every type of flower, plant and green imaginable and if you don't see it they can order it for you, no matter how small or random the order. They don't usually get stuff that is way out of season to keep costs low. I spent around $375 for a massive bridal bouquet of giant peonies, four bridesmaid bouquets of beautiful spray roses with calla grass to trim all the bouquets and a few bags of fresh rose petals for the flower girls. Seriously, putting a little leg work in the morning of or the night before the wedding to tie together some bouquets with the help of tons of youtube tutorials, can result in MASSIVE savings.
While they might have a limited offering, what they do have is clean, in great shape and insanely affordable. We rented chairs, tables, a huge tent that was cheaper than anything in the area, as well as a great outside sound system that was very user friendly. Most of our reception was on an ipod playlist so it was literally push one button and youre good to go. They staff was nice, delivered early and didnt charge for a late pickup.
