Everyone else has pretty much said everything I would have said about Brook Lodge. Some people have given it low scores on flexibility. While my Day-of Coordinator was a little peeved by their way of doing things, I was an out-of-town bride and I thought it was great. They knew what to do, and I wasn't particular about where tables were placed, how the places were set, ect. It was very convenient and helpful- I had no desire to micromanage. I had a very silly idea for place cards that required a lot of set-up, and they were very accommodating to that. I gave them 5 stars for that reason. Overall, my guests and even my MIL (who has very discriminating taste) were as delighted with Brook Lodge as I was. My wedding was about as perfect as it could have been, thanks to the amazing staff there.

Elaine is a wonderful photographer! She's a talented young artist who helped us finance wedding pictures on a budget. They came out really nicely, and she was very easy to work with in-person and over the phone/internet. Elaine used our beautiful surroundings to the fullest advantage and captured all the shots we really wanted. She even hand-made our gorgeous wedding album!

It was a pleasure working with Sharon! She knew exactly what I was talking about when I communicated to her my vision for my wedding flowers. She also had some creative suggestions that I used. All her flowers and decorations turned out great. My day looked beautiful. Sharon definitely knows what she's doing, and was willing to work with me over the internet when needed.

MacKenzie's bakery did a fantastic job on my cake! I picked this bakery because their cake tasted the best. I gave them a design I liked and they were very creative with it. It looked fantastic- we received a lot of compliments. The person in charge of wedding cakes, Brookes was very easy to work with and was willing to communicate over the internet. MacKenzie's has locations in Kalamazoo and Portage.

When my previous ceremony musicians backed out, Arioso was a lifesaver! I chose this group because I had a specific song I wanted to process to that required an oboe. Their website listed my song, so I called and booked them right away. The whole ceremony went very smoothly music-wise. Although they played my hymn too slowly, that was because I never gave them a tempo. They were very professional and willing to do business over the phone and internet.
