I hired Jodi Colella of "Accents Unlimited" to act as DJ and partial planning coordinator for my daughter's wedding about 11 months before the wedding. First, as a DJ, she was wonderful! My daughter and her now husband have kind of quirky taste in music, and Jodi accomodated their wishes perfectly, but added in music that she chose that would appeal to the wide variety of guests of all ages. She was able to "read the crowd" and their taste perfectly. My daughter and I were also very pleased with the classy way she kept the reception moving. She was professional, had no "shtick", and was thoroughly entertaining.
As a "partial" planning coordinator, Jodi was indispensible. I originally planned on doing everything myself, but found that the task was overwhelming. Jodi assisted me in every step of the process, helping to find vendors that fit well into my somewhat limited budget, yet were wonderful themselves. She thought to ask questions that I would never have thought to ask. Toward the end, when there was some confusion with one of the vendors as to what we had agreed upon, Jodi handled all of that. It was very calming for me to have her take care of things the day of the wedding. She made sure everything was set to go properly, handled any last minute confusion, and generally just kept everything running smoothly. I highly recommend Jodi Colella's services both as a DJ and as a wedding coordinator, whether you choose full, partial, or day of coordination. Jodi saved me money in the long run with some of her recommendations, and saved my sanity throughout the process!
