Dearest Emily, I am so excited to come to your long awaited wedding, we have all been looking forward to this day since the moment you made my dad promise he would be there. I am incredibly impressed with the woman you have become and all you have accomplished. You two will figure things out as they come, and don't underestimate the suggestions given by your parents,it is good and time tested, and they have put in alot of effort to achieve where they are at. . Remember the ebb and flow of life and marriage. Never lower the bar for time together, putting each other first, and keeping things special. If you love Chase then he is cool in my book , can't wait to meet him and to witness your special day- i love you!!!!

My dear 1st granddaughter and soon to be grandson-in-law. As your marriage draws closer, my prayers grow stronger that God bless your union. That your love for one another reflects God's love for you both. Surround your selves with His Grace and you will weather the storms of life as well as the difficulities of marriage. Remember that we are close by and God is even closer.
Love You Both

Amber Mack (wedding day go to gal)
Congratulations on falling in love....It is the best feeling in the world knowing that someone loves you with all their heart and that they will share the rest of their life with you. Take time on your wedding day to take it all in, it goes by fast. Always remember to stay strong as a couple and you lives will grow together with each day that passes. Emily, you will be a beautiful bride and I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle. Chase, you better take care of Emily (if not I will hunt you down :)!). Love Always- Amber

Father of the Bride
Wow! This is a great site to share your growing excitement and wedding fire! I love it!
A great relationship means always working at it. One of the huge cornerstones is a love that is evident to all.... and you two have it! You wear it in on your sleeves, not for show but just because it is a natural outpouring that can not be helped or hindered. PDA's are "a" key to the 60 year marriage goal. The art of COMPROMISE, especially in the early years can be as difficult as painting a masterpiece with the brush held in your teeth, but grow this talent early in the relationship and the canvass of your "two hearts beat as one" will be almost limitless!
Chase, it will be nice to add another guy to TEAM LENNY. But always remember the Grandpa and the kneecap story!

My Reviews(5)
St. George's Serbian Social Hall Joliet, Illinois 60436
As the other reviews have said, the Event Coordinator, Darlene, at St. George's is amazing! She is the kind of person I know most brides are wishing and hoping for when planning such an important event. She always had time to answer my questions or to address my concerns--even those "I'm freaking out" ones. :) They have package plans but after explaining that we did not want the full bar package (which included hard alcohol) and that we didn't need two meat choices (honestly, I told her I didn't care if the guests ate pizza--we just wanted to have as many people there as we could!), she created a package just for us--with a price/head that was within our budget. I cannot say enough good things about Darlene and how helpful she was in the planning process. The negative, if any, is there were some things about the room set-up we didn't like such as them leaving tables set-up even if we weren't having enough guest to fill them and not taking the head-table which would be on the dance floor down after dinner. The Event.... Everything went according to plan as far as the Reception venue went. Everything looked lovely. We were able to get in the day before and decorate instead of rushing to do it the day of--making for a much more relaxed bride and groom. Even though we knew this ahead of time, found out at the 2 week prior meeting, all of the beer was served in mini 8 oz bottles which looked super tacky but the bar tenders were good at handing out several at a time. I was told the servers would be wearing black pants and white dress shirts--saw that many of them were wearing t-shirts...something I'm sure nobody else noticed but me. People raved about the food which we had served buffet style including Pork loin, pasta, mashed potatoes, salad and bread. All in all everything went great.
I want to preface my review with one caveat, I was lucky enough to have two good friends who worked as florists before and were very knowledgeable and willing to put together all of my bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. I got so many compliments on how gorgeous the flowers were and this was only in part bc I ordered way more than I needed so many of the flowers that arrived in poor condition were tossed without fear of running out. Ordered 200 roses the week before the wedding--I think the package was called Buyer's Choice. Got 100 ivory colored ones (which if you are wearing an ivory dress you will discover all you find is mostly white roses unless you go to a florist). Some things to consider if ordering from this company.... 1. There is a reason they are so cheap in comparison. By the time of the reception many of the boutonnieres/corsages looked horrible and needed to be thrown out bc they looked so droopy. 2. Doing your own flowers requires a team of people willing to work for many hours, my two friends spent almost two days putting everything together. 3. Buy all the other materials like the florist tape, wire, corsage wrist-lets, etc as far in advance as you can. I waited too long and had to buy two different kinds. 4. Consider buying the baby's breath or whatever filler you like from your local grocery store. In Chicago, Jewel-Osco has many different options available in the 3/$12 bins that worked great. One last thing....they told me the flowers were going to be delivered by 10:30am and they were not there until 2....
NOTE THIS IS HOW MY REVIEW STARTED BEFORE THE WEDDING: Wow! These guys have definitely earned their 2009 Wedding Wire award for best DJs. This is one of the vendors that I would not compromise on--I wanted the best DJ/package my budget would allow. Their website may seem a bit outdated but it gets the job done (song selection, etc) and that's not what I am paying them for. After the wedding notes: They only allow you 10 must play songs. We picked a package that was 6 hours and they would not give us a discount given our reception was only 5 hours. They were using CDS only even though I was told they would have computers with internet access to pull up/download any songs. They were more than happy to point any and all blame at the bride and groom when people asked for a genre of music we said we didn't want. On a positive note, our DJ was very accomodating when some drunken groomsmen missed the introductions and we had to totally rearrange the announcement order. Not engaging with our guests at all. For the service he provided I would have been better off getting renting speakers, a wireless mic and hooking up an ipod. Very disappointed. For $1,000 package and the number 1 rated weddingwire DJ I expected a great deal more--

Had my hair and make-up trial done here about a month before the wedding for about $48 including tip. I got a ton of compliments regarding how cool my hair and make-up looked. It was really important to me that I looked like myself just cranked up a couple of notches and that is exactly what the stylist did. I was able to book enough stylists for the day of my wedding so we could all get done up together--something very important to me. :) Someone suggested that when I made the appointments I ask that all the stylists liked doing wedding hair up-dos and that they were at least a level 4. Wedding day: After getting my hair and make-up done I felt like every bride should on her wedding day--Gorgeous! She did exactly what I asked for--a natural hair-do and make-up job. After the wedding my hair was still rocking it and my make-up only a little bit of touch-up! Amazing job! All of my bridesmaids really liked their hair and how much money I saved them instead of going to a salon at average $100. Thank you Capri!!
Our experience here started off really bad. We were rushed through the process by a high-pressure sales person, David, at the Orland Park, IL store. End result: My fiance and I both hated our bands. One positive of the experience though was that I got an amazing engagement ring for a great deal bc the sales person so desperately wanted to make the sale. We live in Milwaukee, WI so most of our interactions have been with the Mayfair Mall location in Wauwatosa. After explaining how we felt severely taken advantage of by the other sales person, the manager Linda Jakus, has done everything to make all of our other interactions (changing our wedding bands, etc) the best experience possible. My fiance and I feel that we have found a trusted jeweler for life! I recommend dealing with Linda for all your wedding jewelery needs and beyond!
