Our Story

We met while Tim was working at Jillian's as a bouncer and I was attending Empire Vision's Christmas Party, December 13, 2004. Charming and forward, he snagged my hand as I was going up the stairs and asked what I was smiling for. When I shrugged he replied, "I'd be smiling too if I were you." We talked there for about an hour, and talked on the phone almost everyday over the next few weeks when he was home in Iowa for the holidays. I agreed to pick him up at the airport and maintain to this day that if it hadn't been for the early Seinfeld Episode, "You can't mess up the airport pick-up," we would not be here. His plane was grounded on the runway for over 3 hours, the airport was unable to find an available footbridge for deboarding...seriously! When the plane was finally deboarding, I realized that I didn't really remember what he looked like on account of meeting him at a work Christmas party and all. So I called his phone and kept a look out for the guy picking up his phone, and there he was. We went to dinner that night at the Malt River Brewing Co. in Latham and before that he spent about an hour in the sub-zero December air trying to put a new headlight bulb in my car for me. His poor hands were red from the frost. It was then I knew he was a keeper. The rest is history... 5 cities and 3 rounds of a long-distance relationship later, here we are. It's about time and we're ready and excited to finally be getting married.
