    Wine Maker

As our one of our wedding favours, we had personalized bottles of wine made for our guests to take home and enjoy. Cheryl at Wine Kitz was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the process (which we started over a year in advance of the wedding but that isn't totally necessary)

Through consultation with Cheryl, we decided on half batches of Merlot and Gewurztraminer and a full batch of strawberry zinfindel (made much closer to the wedding day to preserve the juiciness) bottled in 375ml "souvenir" sized bottles. All the wine-making and storage was done at the Wine Kitz facility. Once the wine was ready for bottling, Cheryl showed me how to fill and cork the bottles and instructed me on how to store the bottles until the wedding day. She also ordered the labels for me and gave some useful tips as to how to make sure the labelling went as smoothly and professional-looking as possible.

This was an incredibly successful enterprise for us. Our guests were very impressed by the favours and, having tasted all the wines we made, they will be even more impressed when they drink them. The bottles make a lovely souvenir and, as we also had candy jar favours, only one bottle per family was really necessary so it was quite economical.
