Incredible experience

I can't say enough about the quality of service my wife and I had with this venue. The venue is beautiful, the food is delicious, the entire staff went above and beyond to make our day seamless, effortless and memorable. Your value for money at this place is off the charts. Our wedding was supposed to be in 2020 and Rich and his team worked with us to make sure we stayed within our original budget without having to compromise anything major. I really can't say enough about the quality of service, professionalism and effort we experienced at The View on the Hudson.

Best Wedding Venue!

BEST WEDDING EVER! We had our wedding reception at The View on the Hudson this past summer and we highly recommend it. We had toured multiple venues before making an appointment with Rich at the suggestion of a friend. After just a few paces in from the front door we knew we had found something special. The layout was open and refined allowing only one wedding to occur at a time. The cocktail room was beautiful and provided breathtaking wall to wall window views onto the Hudson River with the “Tappan Zee” Bridge in the background. Outside the cocktail room was a patio with a riverfront promenade. The ballroom was an equally impressive octagon shaped room with views of the palisades and waterfront. We could immediately visualize how these spaces would provide us with a stand-out reception. Rich was wonderful to work with. We met and followed up with him multiple times and he always made time for us. He is a true professional. He knows the business, he knows the food, and he knows what works and what probably doesn’t. He is aware of and prepared for all of the nuances which can make or break the flow and timing of a wedding day making sure every second is maximized for the best experience possible. We feel truly lucky to have worked with him. It was also really important to us that our guests were served top notch food and the The View did not disappoint. The cocktail hour exceeded our expectations and provided a beautiful display with many exceptional food stations – they even had a monogramed ice luge with cucumber shot glasses which was definitely a wow. The entrees, cake, and desserts were all phenomenal. The Maître d’ and his team provided our guests with top-class service. Countless guests commented that it was the best wedding they had attended. Our big day went off without a hitch from start to finish. The dance floor was always full and we had the time of our lives. Everything was perfect and we will treasure the day forever. We enthusiastically recommend Rich and his team at the View on the Hudson.

Spectacular

We chose The View for our wedding because of, yes, the view. But also because of its reputation for food and experience. We are two mid-60’s folks, and my wife and I had people flying in from everywhere. They were not disappointed. And the cost was well within our range—surprisingly affordable for what you get. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Best Venue!!!!

As soon as I walked into The View on the Hudson, I knew this was the place for us to celebrate our wedding day. I had no idea that everything from the food, to the service, to the way we were treated from start to finish would be as amazing as the venue is beautiful. As soon as our guests arrived, they were greeted with smiles and a glass of champagne accompanied by the amazing breathtaking views of the venue. My guests raved about everything! The cocktail hour food and drinks were delicious and plentiful. We had about five different stations in the cocktail hour alone, ranging from Italian, to Chinese, to seafood and a potato station, among others!
Our guests were impressed with how delicious everything was (which isn’t usually the case at weddings), and still today- two weeks later, they’re still talking about it when we see them!

My bridal party had two different bridal suites, one for the bridesmaids (which has a beautiful balcony facing the river view) and one for the groomsmen. The servers were extremely helpful and consistently catering to all of our immediate needs. I, as the bride, was assigned my own bridal attendant; and she was amazing! She provided my husband and I with food at our bridal suite and followed us around while we took pictures so that she could help me with my dress at all time (truly, I loved her!)

The View is packed with picturesque settings. The different chandeliers provided for such beautiful pictures! The venue has recently been renovated and it is more gorgeous than ever.

Finally, Vincent and the entire team were amazing to work with! Vincent was supportive, understanding, and attentive to our specific requests. He worked with our schedule and was always quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. He always greeted us with a smile and truly made us feel like we are a part of The View’s family. I felt supported and comfortable through the entire wedding planning process. I am so grateful to the entire staff of The View for making our wedding day truly amazing and unforgettable for my husband and I and certainly for all of our guests. On one particular day when Vincent was off, Rich was also extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their entire team is accommodating, supportive and truly great to work with. I recommend Vincent, Rich, and the entire staff! If we had to do it all over again, there is NO OTHER place we would ever choose. I am so glad this was our choice!

The View on the Hudson will make your (wedding) dreams come true!

If you are still on your wedding venue search, look no further! The View on the Hudson was a wonderful, easy, reliable, relaxed, and top-notch choice! It easily fell within our budget and not only didn't compromising anything, but the staff/service even provided a red-carpet/VIP feel from the spectacular cocktail hour offerings to the new beautiful reception room! The warmest of welcomes (including champagne!) to the planning/multiple visits and then the big day, you will feel at ease and so special. Especially Vincent and the whole team including Al, Lily and others made our dreams come true for our Friday 8/23/2019 wedding! Amazing Wedding

I have known I wanted to get married here since I was a little kid (different name and owners back then), the location right on the Hudson River is simply breathtaking. When it came time to pick our venue I knew that we had to go to the View and see if it was within our range. We ended up booking for a Saturday daytime wedding in order to fit our budget. Our wedding was simply breathtaking! The views were stunning, and the food was everything you would get for an evening wedding. All of our guests really loved our wedding, from the outdoor ceremony, to the wonderful cocktail hour, to the reception and meal everything was perfect. We worked with Rich and found him easy to work with, responsive, and knowledgable. As the bride on the day of everything was set up beautifully, and I was asked about minor changes and things before they were done. My attendant was also great and always there with whatever we needed. I am so happy that I got my dream wedding at the View, I highly recommend them!

***Update*** Can't Wait!!! It Was AMAZING!!!

As a follow-up to my initial review after we booked and made our deposit, I am happy to announce that we had our wedding on May 21, 2021 and it was EVERYTHING! Not only is the venue beautiful (inside and out) but we had such a beautiful day the weather was perfect for our outdoor ceremony along the water. Rich and Victor were SO helpful with everything; all my questions and emails, they were so attentive and we truly thank them for all they did.

The food...oh the food...people are still talking about it! Starting with the cocktail hour, we had 5 specialty stations and so I keep hearing, nothing was dis-tasteful. Everything was to perfection; and all our guests enjoyed and feasted so much that they were full when it was time to sit down for dinner. The dinner was equally as tasty as cocktail hour.

Beyond the food, the service that we and our guests received was top notch! The team and staff did a great job at catering to all of our guests. We did not hear any negative feedback (and we're a rough crowd) from our guests that anything was wrong or out of place. We really enjoyed everything at the View and I would encourage any future brides and grooms looking for a venue to go and check them out! The facility and space is beautiful! You don't need to do any decorating. The ballroom space is to die for and speaks for itself. Its such a beautiful hidden gem. There are separate bride and groom suites for both parties to get ready and utilize. They only accept 1 wedding at a time, so you have the entire place to yourselves as well as your guests (which my husband and I LOVE). All the attention is centered on your wedding! We would do it all over again at the same place if we had or have (in future tense) the ability to do so.

Lupita, Lupita, Lupita...you were my angel thru everything! I am so grateful that you were around to walk with me so that I didn't fall, carry/hold my flowers, fan out and pick up the back of my dress. You were truly a godsend and so helpful! Future brides, she is THEE BEST! I can't thank her enough for her time and all of her energy.

We haven't had our wedding yet but we booked the View on Saturday. Everything so far is going great; Vincent has been super helpful with any and all my questions. We love the venue and can't wait for our day! Stay tuned...

Best day ever!

We recently had our wedding at the View on the Hudson and it was an amazing experience! The wonderful team at the View was incredibly helpful every step of the way. No question or request was too big or too small for the team. Our wedding day wouldn’t have been possible without Rich, he was very supportive, responsive and incredibly easy to work with from day 1. We had the ultimate dream team on the day of our wedding. From the bridal attendant ,Lupita, to the Maitre D and Rich’s team, we were all well taken care of. We literally did not have to worry about a thing. We cannot thank the View enough for making our wedding the best day of our lives. It’s almost been a month and our guests can’t stop raving about the amazing food, view, and overall experience they had at our wedding! What an amazing celebration!

I am sorry that this has taken me this long to write a review for our wedding on 4/27/19. This was the second wedding for us and we had a reservation at another venue but that fell through and we needed to find another venue that would accommodate a reception for less than 80 people. We met with Rich, viewed the venue and immediately knew that this is where we wanted our wedding to be celebrated. Rich was knowledgeable, easy to work with and he delivered. The wedding celebration was beautiful and fun. Our guests were amazed at the amount and quality of the food. The staff was professional and plentiful. All I can say is "Thank Goodness" the first venue fell thru. My daughter said " These two know how to throw a party". Rich and his staff made it a day that we will never forget.

Amazing experience!

First I’d like to start by saying that Ken and I got married at The view On The Hudson on 4/19/19
It was an AMAZING day! We were blessed to say our “I do” outside, in the ceremony spot as we wanted, overlooking the Hudson River. Not a drop of rain came down, though the forecast said it was supposed to rain all day! Oh what a gorgeous day it was for us and our family and friends!
Ken and I are ever so thankful for the treatment and attention we received from EVERY person working at the view that day. We are beyond grateful for how caring and kind they were, but I feel like I need to brag about Vincent, who was so warm and kind from the moment we picked our date, to the moment we left the venue that night. Vincent, your heart is a lantern, your professionalisms is on point!
To Lupita and Al, thank you! Lupita was with me till the end of the night, helping me with my dress bustle, with refreshments, my shoes, my bouquet, and I’m beyond thankful for her kindness.
Are weddings perfect? No! Was ours perfect? Yes! This crew of synchronized hard working kind humans made sure that my husband and I were pleased, every step of the way!
Our daughter is 16, and no thoughts of marriage for a long time! But I can only hope that when she finds her soulmate, they can also experience what Ken and I did on our wedding day, at The View On The Hudson. Pure magic!!!

Beautiful Location, Awesome Staff!!

We’re so excited to write a review for The View on the Hudson that we’re not even sure where to begin. The moment we walked in for a tour, we fell in love with the venue. We secured our date a year in advance and throughout the year the staff was incredibly helpful, professional and supportive. As we got closer to our wedding date, the manager, Joe Emenrani, made sure every request and detail was met. On the day-of, our Maitre D (Vincent) and Bridal Attendant (Lupita) were God-sends. They were by each of our sides every step of the ceremony and reception and made sure we had everything we could possibly need and want throughout the day. We cannot thank The View on The Hudson enough for making sure our wedding day went off without a hitch. It’s truly a hidden gem and you will not be disappointed hosting any event here! Oh yeah, and the food was ridiculously good! Cannot forget the food!

From start to finish, the View on The Hudson was a five star experience for us and all of our guests. The service was impeccable, the food amazing, and the professionalism was second to none. We’ve spoken to pretty much everybody who attended our wedding there on 1/6/18 and they all agree it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been too.

A true hidden gem!! I would highly recommend this venue! The location is spectacular - if the name didn't give it away. My guests loved the food and everyone complimented the service as well - they referred to it as "impeccable service". Howard and Ralph were just amazing.

My daughter was married at The View on August 11, 2017. Truly an amazing event down to the very smallest detail carried out by Howard and Ralph and their wonderful staff. The food, service, cleanliness, follow-through was second to none. Superb quality, accommodating staff, delicious food, just wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! The attention to detail, the temperament and professionalism of Ralph, Howard, Noreen and the many wonderful servers made this event a 10 star gala. Our guests were over the top with praise. The food was delicious and every guest felt as if they were the only ones in the room--that is just how terrific The View was. I have one more daughter to marry and we will most certainly be using the View.

We just had our wedding here this past Friday. We were so happy with The View and Ralph from start to finish. The wedding was a great time. The service was excellent. If you are looking for professionalism, attention to detail, out of this world food and a beautiful location... LOOK NO FURTHER! Ralph was overly attentive throughout the process and amazingly so on the day of (he makes sure you eat and drink!) The venue is BEAUTIFUL and the food is DELICIOUS! My guests are STILL raving about the food and overall look of the venue. I can't recommend this venue HIGHLY enough! There is no need to worry about anything, b/c they take care of it all! From where to place that special little knick-knack you want incorporated on your special day to making sure you're "For the Road" goodies are displayed just how you want them! EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT! You get it all at the View... Professionalism, Value, Deliciousness, Beauty, Service and Peace of Mind!

When we first met with Howard from View on the Hudson we knew that he could bring our wedding vision to life. He has many many years of experience and truly makes you feel like you have nothing to worry about because you know he will take care of everything. He was always extremely professional and gave us his undivided attention. The venue is gorgeous and is maintained and refreshed throughout the year. The food was delicious and there were so many options to choose from. The venue hosts one wedding at a time, so the place is all yours when you are there. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or for better service than what View on the Hudson provided. We highly recommend this venue and working with Howard.

The View On THe Hudson was our dream wedding location. It was the perfect distance for our families to travel and has the most picturesque surroundings. Ralph and Howard are the epitome of professionals. We worked primarily with Ralph and he assured my hisband and I every step of the way. I fell in love with the ballroom, the floor to ceiling windows, and the spectacular view. I also loved that they only take one wedding per day. The selection of incredible food was our favorite part of course! We felt as though we were dining at a five star restaurant. Our guests are still raving about the food. The staff was amazing and gracious of our requests. We enjoyed every moment of the wedding planning process thanks to the incredible staff at The View on the Hudson. My husband and I highly recommend this stunning venue and the kind, considerate, and dedicated staff.

My husband and I got married at The View this past weekend and the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. From our first meeting with Howard Vaz, he assured us that he would make the (crazy) wedding planning experience as relaxed and stress-free as possible- he was right! Howard was ALWAYS available for us and handled all of the details from the big tasks down to the little stuff. We had both our ceremony and reception at The View. The outdoor ceremony was so romantic and beautiful- one of the reasons I HAD to get married there was due to the breathtaking views of the water. The outside was set up with white chairs facing a wedding alter and the river- my guests still will not stop telling us how gorgeous the scenery was. Howard had graciously met with my whole family and wedding party the evening prior to ensure the ceremony was flawless and everybody knew the processional and order of the ceremony (phew!) And the reception was just as fabulous. The staff at the View were FANTASTIC- my hubby and I don't drink and the bartender Mary dug up some energy drinks for us out of her own personal stash! How sweet?! Our waitress Theresa was also wonderful and was always asking us what we needed and if she could get us anything. And Howard spent the entire reception making sure we were taken care of. He was there the entire time!!! He helped us all line up for intro's, and helped organize the first dances and cake cutting.
You know how when a big event ends you often walk away thinking it had gone much different than you thought it was? For over a year I had envisioned my wedding to be the perfect evening, and in the end, it was even BETTER than I had dreamed it would be.

We were blown away by our experience with The View on the Hudson. I have to admit that at first I was a little intimidated by Ralph's get-it-done attitude, but he impressed me most of all. Ralph is so detail-oriented that even the most type B bride could pull of an incredible event. Since I'm detail-oriented myself I immediately respected that about him and felt confident that he would help our wedding go smoothly and as close to schedule as possible. He also helped us choose an amazing food and beverage package that our guests raved about. Some people said it was the best food they've ever had at the wedding...and there was so much of it! It was also a bonus to give our guests the option of choosing their dinner the day of the wedding instead of picking meat or veggie months in advance. The venue was gorgeous and we loved that we had the place to ourselves instead of sharing a hall with one or two other events at a time. Plus, the bridal suite upstairs was adorable and the large bathroom was a godsend for a big bridal party. At the end of the day, we had an amazing wedding at The View on the Hudson and are so happy we chose to have our wedding there. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a larger venue space without losing any of the local charm.

I recently had my daughter's wedding at The View on The Hudson on July 11, 2015. From the moment my quests arrived and throughout the entire evening everyone commented about the attention to details and the quality of service here. The food was OUTSTANDING and you can't go wrong with either Maitre D. Both Ralph and Howard are amazing and will do everything they can to make your event the best. Yes the actual View is spectacular.... but it is the people here that give the place that WOW factor. Each server was professional and seemed to really care about delivering a quality experience. I just recently had a wedding at The View on 7/11/15 and it was absolutely AMAZING! Ralph made our special day perfect and was so attentive and helpful throughout the whole planning process and throughout the actual day of the wedding. There is only 1 wedding at the venue at a time and you are the total spotlight. My guests RAVED about the food and the view of the Hudson River! They also keep complimenting me on how amazing the service was and how attentive all the staff was to them. Cocktail hour is spectacular, the food is plentiful and they have such a wide variety to keep everyone happy! My mother even ripped the back of her dress and the staff helped her sew it up so that no one could even notice.
My fiancé and I actually chose this venue because we went to a wedding there and we were just regular people, no one special to the couple and we were treated like royalty and had the best time. We know our guests felt the same way at our wedding. People are STILL talking about our wedding and how fabulous it was. The View on the Hudson is the PERFECT place for the PERFECT wedding!

I would highly recommend this place to everyone! I can't say enough about the venue and Howard. We fell in love when we first saw it and ended up booking it for our wedding. I'm so happy we did. Howard was such a pleasure to work with. Our wedding was absolutely amazing. Weddings are stressful and yet Howard made it so easy and stress free. I had my baby shower at the view on the Hudson November 16,2014 and I have to say I\'ve never in my life been to a place like this. From the service to the food! The View on The Hudson is definitely a 5 staring catering hall. I dealt with Howard, who was amazing and understanding to all my needs. The owner, along with Howard, was there the whole time to make sure everything was to our liking. The whole team was professional and on top of things. We are definitely going to hold other events at the view on the Hudson. Once again I\'d like to thank Howard and the rest of the team and ofcourse the chief, David, for the amazing food! We had our wedding at The View on the Hudson and everything was amazing. The staff is very professional and great to work with, they had everything setup as planned. The food was great, everyone who attended praised the selections. The location on the river and venue makes for the most beautiful place to hold any event.

Our wedding was FANTABULOUS!!!! The venue was beautiful. The view of the Hudson River, mountains and blue skies were absolutely gorgeous for our fall themed wedding. It was the perfect day for an outside ceremony. Howard Vaz is the best! His guidance, hospitality, and professionalism made it even more perfect. From day one, he made himself readily available for any questions or concerns. From ceremony to reception, Howard kept his staff on point. Myself and the bridal party arrived later than expected but Howard kept the flow smooth and seamless. We didn't miss a beat. He accommodated us in every way. He worked every corner to make sure our guests had food and drinks. He made sure me and my husband had quiet time in the bridal suite while enjoying the tasty hors d‘oeuvres and assortments of fruits and veggies. We got to bask in the moment for a moment. Our guests were extremely satisfied with the service, delicious food and 5-hour open bar with premium liquor ;-). The staff was awesome!! We're all still re-living the day. If you're looking for a venue that can eliminate the stress and provide half of your planning by offering space, food, drinks, cake, scenery, exceptional service, and professionalism, for a reasonable cost, then look no further. The View On The Hudson is your place!! As Howard would say, “You worry about the small stuff, we got everything else covered”. Thanks Howard. Yeh mon! ;-)

Thank You Howard!!! What can i say; the place is fantastic, the staff is superb, food and drink delicious, my guests never wanted for anything. Howard ran the operation smoothly from beginning to end, attending to me and my bride on our special day with the utmost care and professionalism. The View On The Hudson was the greatest wedding venue from start to finish. Howard was professional and work so hard to make our day perfect. He catered not only to myself and the groom but also our parents and the whole bridal party. He worked with us during the months prior to our wedding to create the perfect day that fit everything we wanted, from the ceremony, presentation, food, music and the entire flow of the night. He made sure me and the groom ate and even brought food up to the bridal suite for me to eat while bustling my dress before the reception. The ceremony was beautiful outside and perfect for photos. I cannot thank Howard enough for all he did the months leading up to and the day of our wedding. It was a perfect day.

Our wedding was here on June 22, 2014. We got an amazing deal for a Sunday wedding. Howard made our day extremely special. From day one, he was extremely accommodating. He kept telling us, you...worry about the small stuff...and leave the hard stuff to us. We did exact that!! The view from the cocktail area, the ballroom and ceremony area were exquisite. If your looking for a venue that gives it's all, amazing food, and right on the water....this is your place!! Howard made sure we were having a great time, and he also made sure we made time to eat ourselves. God knows, bride and grooms never eat...but luckily we got to. Haha. Our family was taken care of as well. Everything went amazing, and more!!

We had a great wedding at the view on the Hudson. By that I have not one single complaint about this venue. We worked with Ralph and he made sure that our wedding was everything that we wanted and more. We had our ceremony at The View on the Hudson. We had it outside and the backdrop was nothing less than magical. Ralph made sure that it ran perfectly and seamlessly. Move ahead to the cocktail hour and the food was amazing they have numerous stations to chose from, and in their standard package you pick four. The food was plentiful and delicious. The drinks were flowing getting everyone primed up for the party. Ralph and his staff were compleat professionals through out the night. The food was amazing, did not hear one single complaint, but received many comments on how good the food was. Ralph was very easy to deal with and made sure that every request that we had was met and that there very no snafus though out the night. He was extremely flexible with us the week of the wedding as far as people canceling on us and then people coming last minute that changed their mind. He is a professional and I would highly recommend requesting him as your matre de. Nothing and I mean nothing went wrong at our wedding, and it was the day that my wife had been dreaming about her whole life, and that had a lot to do with Ralph and his staff.

The View on the Hudson was a terrific venue to get married. Being an event planner myself, I was prepared to have to do all of the work for the wedding, but the true professionalism and experience that the staff at the View has truly made my job SO much easier! The food was spectacular, the view of the Hudson river/ bridge was breathtaking, (even in the rain!) and the staff was a pleasure to work with! I would recommend this venue to anyone!

My husband and I were married in September and after our initial venue did not work out, we switched to the view with only 6 months until our wedding. When we walked in, we first worked with Howard and to be quite honest, we decided that as much as we LOVED the place and were willing to spend a little bit more on our wedding to have the venue, the service we would be contracted into with this gentleman was not what I wanted to deal with. We had called up and spoken with Ralph and expressed how we were torn and he brought us back in to give them a second chance. Ralph sold me! He had a great personality, very knowledgeable and professional! Ralph was sympathetic, and really envisioned what I did. at the end of the day our wedding was absolutely PERFECT! Even our guests were pleased with him, they noticed his tentitiveness to guests as well as us. He ensured that the groom and I ate, and at one point even came to our table and forced us to sit and eat for a few minutes before he left. Our day was absolutely flawless once we entered The View and it was all thanks to a wonderful staff! Theresa our main waitress was amazing as well too! the bar tenders and waitstaff really made everyone feel like they were important and tended to their every need. When all is said and done I would not have changed anything about our reception.. except making it longer because it was so great! Ralph and all of our vendors worked together seamlessly and people are still talking about how wonderful our day was!

Everything about The View exceeded my expectations. We worked with Howard for well over a year planning our wedding. I made many calls to him throughout asking random questions as they came to me, stopped in to see what our centerpiece would look like on the table and he was helpful and gave advice every step of the way. He worked with us very closely and the food and drinks that we wanted and was reassuring about the entire process. It was very clear that he had been doing this work for a while and knows that he is doing! I had a last minute small seating arrangement change, but it didn't seem to bother Howard. He went through the set up without a hitch. We arrived to the venue earlier for pictures and for me to get dressed and when I got there he brought us champagne and food! For that matter, there was not a time when I didn't have a fresh drink at my table or food at my hands. Howard made a point that my husband and I eat - and we did! I would definitely work with Howard and The View again!

My husband and I had our ceremony (outdoors) and reception at the View on the Hudson. We worked closely with Howard Vaz whose careful attention to detail ensured that we had a beautiful and truly memorable wedding. Howard knew that we wanted an outdoor wedding overlooking the Hudson River, but there was rain in the forecast for that weekend. He and his staff monitored the weather reports and decided that we could pull it off. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and then headed indoors for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The rain came down an hour later while we were safely indoors! Howard accommodated our request for an outside caterer to provide some Nigerian dishes during the cocktail hour and his quick-thinking saved the day when the caterer showed up an hour-and-a-half late (well past the cocktail hour). He served the Nigerian food to each table as an additional food option during the luncheon and most guests thought that this was our original intention! Howard has a no-nonsense approach to wedding planning that might take some getting used to but the results more than speak for themselves. I would use him again in a heartbeat. We were so happy with the outcome that we visited him a week after our wedding just to say "thank you!" I would highly recommend the View on the Hudson to any couple thinking of getting married in the greater New York area.

Everything about The View exceeded mine, my new husband and my mother's expectations. Working with Ralph the entire process (about a year and a half) was so easy and he made us feel comfortable the whole way through. His patience and attentiveness during the process and especially the day of was impeccable. He made sure me and my hubby were taken care of the ENTIRE night. Meaning I always had a fresh drink at the table and food in my hand. Of course they tell you the night goes by so quickly and in a blur (which it does) but what stands out was Ralph's and the entire team at the View's professionalism. Not to mention the gorgeous view and delicious food!!!

So many things I can talk about. The space is beautiful. I recommend using for your ceremony because the river/mountain back drop is amazing. Howard made sure everything was taken care of and ran things very smoothly on the wedding day. He is great to work with and helped us every step of the way. Food was great. Cocktail hour has a great variety and they give you good options for stations. I recommend mash potato bar. Dinner was also great. Best bridal suite I have seen.

We had a beautiful and magical wedding at The View (June 30, 2013). Howard Vaz, our wedding planner and maitre'd, couldn't have been more accomodating. We wanted an outdoor ceremony by the Hudson River, and although there was a strong chance of rain, Howard had the ceremony set up outdoors the morning of the event, and told us his staff would move all of the chairs in quickly if the weather took a turn for the worse. We managed to have a picture perfect ceremony minutes before a torrential downpour occurred. The cocktail hour and reception were perfectly planned and organized, with great attention to detail, and the guests loved the food. Thanks very much.

The night of my wedding, the venue looks absolutely beautiful. Everything from the cocktail hour room to the ballroom and bridal suite was stunning. The view of the TZ bridge lit up at night and the ceiling to floor windows made a breathtaking view that our guests talked about all night. Howard was so accommodating and treated me like a princess. I cannot express how incredible the The View on the Hudson was for my wedding. Howard, specifically went above and beyond for me and my entire family, i'm sure to Howard it was all in a days work as he has been doing this forever but it SHOWS. I had not ONE bit of wedding stress nor did I question ANYTHING in any of our meetings, Howard had me so calm that I just knew it would all be taken care of down to what i'm using for our Gifts and envelopes. Not only did Howard make special dinners for my husband and father, the food there was A=MAZING and did not stop. After the cocktail hour people were rubbing their bellies with giant smiles on their faces....THEN the apps, and salad and main course aaaaaaaaand dessert. The venue was beautiful. As simple or extravagant as you want it to be. The View was breathtaking...I have ZERO complaints only that the night ended. I hope to be back to the view as an invited guest to a wedding ASAP so I get to see from the OTHER END all the amazing things all my friends and family raved about!!!! THANK YOU HOWARD!!!!

I had my wedding at The View on the Hudson this past Sunday. They put on a beautiful wedding and their venue has a gorgeous view of the Hudson river. Ralph was our Maitre’D. He has a ton of experience with planning weddings and everything went off without a hitch. We also hired a day-of coordinator, but that was a pretty redundant service because Ralph really had everything under control. The food was excellent and there was a ton of it. I especially liked the wedding cake and baked apple dessert. I have rarely eaten wedding cakes that taste so moist and good. I imagine that this venue is optimal for couples who want a very well run event at an all-inclusive venue, rather than DIYers. Also, I think that the venue is better for people who want to do minimal planning, because Ralph and his staff have a certain rhythm and process they follow based on their experience of what works well. There were a couple of very minor requests I made, which slipped through the cracks, and it would have been more convenient if we could have done more of the communications by email, but all in all, Ralph and The View did an amazing job!
I think this venue is wonderful for any wedding where the bride and groom want a well executed ceremony and reception, and where the venue gives great service, great food and a great view. Job well done!

I want everyone to know about this place. Soup to nuts, it was perfect. From the initial planning to the night of. Howard was our "GM" and took care of everything. Don't let him frustrate you, he definitely knows what he is doing. We all have "visions", just like we did, of what the night should be like, Howard will ask why certain things are wanted and be very frank with you. He puts the couple ahead of the Venue.

The week of, Howard was very stern about bringing everything over early. "You are not to worry about anything here, I will worry about it", and he was a man of his word. The food was top notch and abundant. I had guests complaining that they couldn't get drunk because there was so much food. The venue has an awesome view of the Tappan Zee Bridge, unfortunately we picked a date that Irene visited. Due to weather we had to get married inside, people did not even blink. And the acoustic for a band was awesome.

That night, Howard and his manager were catering to everything. They really know how to run a show. I needed a drink he was there. After the ceremony and pictures he made sure we were eating.

The venue itself is a domed pavilion with a side room for cocktail hour and an open bar area. Some people may think the decor is outdated but I thought it was dated far back enough to add its own uniqueness to it, all personal preference.

The website does not give this place justice. Before you cross this place off the list you have to see it in person, it is located in a cute town with hotels only 8 minutes away.

Look no further if you want a fabulous wedding!!! From start to finish Howard was amazing. He is knowledgeable and professional and will lead you through the process of wedding planning. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, photos were taken outside and are phenomenal. The ceremony was also outside and was equally as exquisite with the backdrop of the Hudson. Everything was great here for my wedding in April 2011. The only thing I'd do differently is ask for a bar setup instead the reception room because too many guests were stationed at the bar, not on the dance floor (too far away). We were married in March 2009. It was a day wedding and everything was amazing. We worked with Ralph and he took care of everything. The room was set up perfectly and their food options were very good. They provide a perfect cake so you do not need to spend more money. They basically ran the wedding, which was great since we did the wedding ourselves and could not be everywhere at once. We have only heard wonderful things from our guests. The view is amazing...I am a hudson valley girl, so this was perfect. The View provides guests with champagne and a strawberry, but my husband is allergic to strawberries. They substituted raspberries instead...that is how attentive they are.

The View highly exceeded my expectations and made our wedding day magical!

My best friend had been married at the View six years ago. I remember thinking the venue was beautiful, the view was amazing and the idea of only having ONE wedding at a time -- something rare to find in the tri-state area.

When it came time for my special day I was blown away by the level of service. Ralph helped us along the way and made us feel that any question or request was never to silly. My guests have raved about the food and level of service to this day. And my husband and I are still glowing from the warm reception we had.

The View was the perfect location for our wedding... the food, service, atmosphere, etc. was everything my husband and I hoped it to be and more. I would recommend it to anyone

Ralph and all the staff members there are really amazing and made our day even better than we could have imagined! They were so flexible, helpful, and just great people to work with! We would recommend anyone to have their event there! And we hope we get to go to another one there soon! :)

Having our reception at the View on the Hudson was like the fairy-tale ending to a perfect day. The venue was beautiful, the "view", of course, spectacular, food fantastic, and service - impeccable.

Howard Vas ran our affair and no stone was left unturned. We never had to ask for anything - everything was done and it was done correctly.

I would highly recommend this venue to anyone and would book them again immediately.

The View was the best decision we made! The staff was very attentive and Howard Vaz made sure everyone had a good time! The food was good and the place was a great value for our money! The lights are nice and the view at night was beautiful! I can't wait to see my pictures!

Just had our daughter's (Jenna & Nick) wedding here this past Saturday. The compliments were extraordinary. My brother-in-law who is in the restaurant business said it was the best wedding he had ever gone to. The food was exceptional and he couldn't believe the size of the steak. He was complimentary of the entertainment, the view, the service and how smoothly the event went. Others also were so impressed and said that it was the best wedding they ever went to (and these are people in their 60's and 70's who have been to many weddings in their lifetime). My father-law-law who just recovered from a hip fracture 7 weeks ago cried at the end of the wedding and said this was the best wedding he ever went to other than his own. ( I guess he wasn't as impressed with my wedding 30 years ago, lol)....Great job, wonderful Ralph, beautiful wedding!

We had our ceremony & reception at The View and I could not have been happier. Our outdoor ceremony was perfect. It’s not a huge set-up, but for our 155 guest list, it worked out great. I loved having the place to ourselves for the night.

Our guests raved about the food and we actually got to eat! My one concern before the wedding was that the bar set-up would take people away from the action, but the wait staff kept my guest’s drinks full without even having to leave the ballroom! The whole flow of the night exceeded my expectations.

I could call anytime with a question. Whether it was Howard, Ralph or the receptionist who answered the phone, anything I need was solved quickly. The night of the wedding, they took care of everyone. Ralph runs a tight ship and I had complete confidence in him. He even helped bustle my dress!

If you’re looking for a reasonable venue, gorgeous views and great staff, I would certainly recommend The View!

The View on the Hudson, Howard and his team were great. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Howard was very accommodating with our menu selection and we had a last minute guest show up and he saw that the guest was taking care of. My guests are still talking about the food and how amazing the food was. There is no greater pleasure than hearing that your guests had a great time. Great food, great location, one wedding at a time venue.....cant' get any better. The View is a "win" all the way around.

Visit the View and meet with Howard. You can have a first class wedding reception that's affordable. What a great wedding reception we had in late December, 2016. Howard Vaz was the consummate professional from the time of negotiation, to the time we walked out of the reception hall. Like a skilled physician, Howard has been doing this for many years and the customer is the beneficiary of that experience. The View as a venue is excellent, you're the only event going on there. The flow of the rooms, the bar area, the vast hallway, really lend to a nice flow of family and friends mingling easily. While we had >150 guests there, folks remarked to me how nice that the tables were not bumping into each other (how I hate that!). The food was excellent, and the presentation of the appetizers, the Cake, were just great.

Howard's attention to detail was amazing. As the Father of the Bride (or the Bride or Groom), there are a million things going on. It was extremely important who had their eyes on the details.........thanks Howard!

I cannot say enough about the tremendous experience we had at The View.

Our daughter and son in law's wedding was held at The View on the Hudson on Labor Day weekend. We were extremely pleased with so many aspects of the wedding. From the onset, Ralph, our catering sales manager and Maitre'd, was caring, helpful, and very pleasant to work with. He helped make the day run so smoothly including even helping with the bustle on our daughter's gown. The service on the day of the wedding was outstanding with the staff being very responsive to everyone's needs. The food was good especially during the cocktail hour. And of course the view was outstanding during the ceremony outside and the party inside later on.

The facility and staff were first rate. During the wedding, the staff were attentive to any needs of our family. Only suggestion would be for the View staff to set up email communications for planning, as we were from out of town. Ralph was as advertised.....wonderful and highly professional. Some of our guests are already thinking of other events that they might do at the View on the Hudson.

The view on the hudson was such a fantastic place to hold our wedding reception. The food, service, atmosphere, and staff were amazing. The view was the first and only place we looked to have our wedding reception at and we are so happy we chose it.

Where do I begin? My husband and I had our wedding reception at the view on September 6, 2015. We worked directly with Howard and we're not let down. His attention to detail from start to finish was impeccable. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect night. Everyone was raving about the entire place from the views to all the delicious food. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stress free experience!

We had our wedding at the View last May. All the services were wonderful and Ralph helped make our day special and without complications. We entrusted him with a great responsibility and he definitely exceeded our expectations. Our guests still talk about how lovely the venue, especially the stunning view.

We planed our wedding in about 3 months and everyone at the View on the Hudson were wonderful. The location & venue were beautiful. One of my favorite things about view is that it holds only one event at a time. The food at the cocktail hour and the wedding were amazing, our wedding cake was beautiful. Overall wonderful event and would recommend it to everyone.

I would highly recommend The View to brides in the NY/NJ/Hudson Valley area. The setting is beautiful and all-in-one -- you have the comfort and convenience of a ballroom and full-service facility, but the gorgeous river views are right outside to enjoy throughout. The food is delicious, and there is tons of it included in the base price -- an insane amount of passed hors d'oeuvres and appetizer stations at cocktail hour long before the sit-down dinner. Ralph was out maitre'd and he was incredible. So attentive the whole evening to us and our 200+ guests.

My wife and I were married at the view and were very pleased with the venue and the level of service. The guests commented on the spectacular view of the marina and the Tappan Zee bridge in the background. The Hors d'oeuvres in particular were outstanding, and the meal was also very good. Ralph was helpful leading up to the wedding, and Howard pitched in on the day of as well. They prefer not to spell out all the details in the contract, and they didn't provide us a tasting. Overall, highly recommended.

We had a great wedding at The View on the Hudson. This venue is beautiful and a great value for the money. Views are, of course, excellent. Food is decent and ballroom is very pretty. Everyone had a lot of fun! They customized quite a bit for us, which was nice. Cake came out great and outside vendors seemed to have to problem coordinating.

Food was good, venue is beautiful. Big bang for our buck, and if we had to do it all over again we would. Can't say enough good things about this venue.

However.....we had a difficult time dealing with our maître d Howard on occasion. We asked that the bride and groom and bridal party have our cocktail hour upstairs in the bridal and grooms suites. Howard almost insisted that we do not, almost to the point of arguing. He even raised his voice at my bride on our wedding night when she refused to go downstairs to the cocktail hour with the guests. We had 200 guests at our wedding, and we knew that we would not be able to get a bite in with all of our guests coming up to us. We chose not to eat downstairs for that reason....plus.....it was a tradition with both of our families that we don't see them until we make the entrance at the reception. The groomsmen and bridesmaids all felt the same way about our maître d. Other than that, we had a very pleasant experience with The View and would do it all over again if we could.

I think The View is usually a good venue, unfortunately the sprinklers went off during my outdoor ceremony and many of my guests got wet. I am assuming this is not something that usually happens, hopefully it was some sort of accident.... The View itself is a very beautiful location and their service seems very good for the most part. If the sprinkler incident did not happen I would have given a much higher rating.

Let me start off by saying that we had a wonderful reception- the room was set up wonderfully, the band was rocking, and everyone had a good time. If we had to do it again, we'd still have the reception at the View on the Hudson.

However, I can't write a review of this place without mentioning that we did not enjoy dealing with Howard, one of the reception planners at The View. From the first day, we found him to be incredibly smarmy, arrogant and someone who wants to do things HIS way. At several points when trying to plan for when to do certain things (when to have the toasts, father/daughter dance, etc.) we asked what he was planning in terms of the general timeline of the day (when food would be served, when he'd bring the cake out, etc.). He kept telling us that he didn't have a general timeline and it was based on how many people would be there and how things were going during the event. I'll come back to this later.

Throughout the planning process, we were excited about the reception location, but not about dealing with Howard. We found out quickly that you need to put your foot down when there is something that's important to you, because Howard will try to wine and dine you and then try to do things his own way. Don't be surprised if at the first meeting, he is throwing thank you notes from previous couples in your face trying to convince you that people think he is great. He is not.

A few negatives about how Howard ran the reception. The reception was from 6:30-11:30 and come 9:30 I was starting to get hungry and was wondering when the entree would be served. Howard didn't have the kitchen bring out the food until 10:30 after which the toasts had been given, the band had taken its break and were back out playing again, and people were once again hitting the dance floor. Going back to my previous point about Howard's not being clear about when he was planning to do things, the band was playing loud and upbeat music during dinner when we hoped that during that time it would be softer DJ music so that people could eat and talk to each other. This wasn't the band's fault at all- they were awesome and had taken their break around 9:30 or so.

The cake cutting occurred a little bit before 11pm. Howard wheeled the cake out himself into the middle of the dance floor and my wife and I took our places. With knife in hand, we got ready to cut the cake when Howard suddenly told us that we were not to cut the cake ourselves- that we were just to pose for the photographer and then he would cut the cake himself. "So, we can't cut our own cake?", my wife asked.

Everyone was enjoying themselves on the dance floor as we were getting close to 11:30. Then I (and pretty much everyone else) noticed Howard walking up to the band. At 11:29, he was in their ear telling them to stop playing. I understand our event was from 6:30-11:30, but Howard made himself VERY visible and it was enough to annoy me during the reception. Luckily we had a really cool band who basically ignored him and played for another 15-20 minutes and ended the night on a high note.

So, in conclusion, I first have to say that we had an awesome reception thanks to a great room, an amazing band and photographer, and wonderful family and friends who came from all over to join us for a special weekend. If I could go back and do it again, I would not hesitate to book the View on the Hudson again. However, I would make absolutely certain not to work with Howard. When you're in the high stress situation of planning a wedding, you need someone with a good personality, who's down to earth and you can joke around with a little bit and make sure you're in good hands. That is the complete opposite of what you'll get with Howard. Howard frames himself as the consummate professional ensuring that all the clocks will run on time and that nothing will fall by the wayside. As evidenced by the reception, we found that while most things went according to plan, not everything did. And further, even if they did, that doesn't count for everything- you need to KNOW that you are in good hands by having a down to earth and professional person running the show. I'm sorry to say Howard was neither of these things.

Rat Droppings in my food!

There was a rat/mouse dropping in my food at a recent event I attended and the owner and staff took the plate and then denied it. When I asked to see the plate and the dropping, they claimed they threw it out. Horrible people!! Shame on the View on the Hudson! I've already filed a complaint with the health department, and hoping this establishment cleans their kitchen before someone gets hurt! Shame on you for lying!!

Awful and unprofessional. STAY AWAY!!!

They are totally unprofessional and take advantage of their customers during a global pandemic. Will not contact my cousin about returning a $7,500 deposit when the venue did not hold up their side fo the contract. Stay away from these selfish people, they will ignore you if any problems occur.

Poor experience

My cousin was unable to get her deposit back.
$7,500!
When the venue doesn’t hold up their end of the contract AND there’s a pandemic going on...you would think a business like this one would do SOMETHING to work with their customers.

No refund after they couldn't cater amount of guests in contract

I dont ever write reviews, but I feel it's absolutely necessary to inform the public on my nightmare of an experience with this business. My husband and I had our wedding booked originally for 8/21/20. When covid hit, we decided to push it back to 10/16/20 (in the beginning of February/ March we thought it'd be over by then - little did we know). As October approached, we were informed NY laws were only allowing 50 guests to attend gatherings. We spoke with Vincent and Richard over the phone on many occasions explaining our concerns. Our contract required a minimum of 140 guests to attend, and that's what we wanted pre-covid. We made the hard decision to have a small elopement, and because the contract could not be fulfilled on their end, asked for our money back ..$7,500!!! We were only allowed to speak to Richard or Vincent when we called. We asked for the owners name, but they always stated that we had to go through them and they would relay the message to the owner. The $7,500 included our deposit as well as an installment 6 months after we signed the contract. We sent certified mail with a formal letter requesting our money back. When we called to confirm they received our letter they said they had, but about a week later our certified mail was sent back to us in the mail unopened. Our agreed upon wedding date has now passed and we have had to call everytime to follow up. We are always told they will "speak with the owner and get back to us," however, we have never once received a call or email to follow up. My husband went as far as sending an email pleading that we don't need all the money back at once if they cannot afford it, and we would be willing to get paid back in increments, to which we never received a reply (Vincent had recommended doing so, so he could "show the owner the email"). This entire situation has left my husband and I with so much stress. This was our hard earned money we had been saving for our special day. I am a RN living in South Florida, who has been taking care of covid patients since the shutdown in March! The emotional strain i have endured these past 8 months has been exacerbated by this financial situation we have been placed in. My husband and I have so much sympathy for small businesses during this time, but we feel as though the View on the Hudson is taking advantage of us, and I'm sure many other people that had to cancel their celebrations. If you or anyone you know is inquiring on an event hosted by this venue I would share this review to inform them on the integrity of the owner of this establishment.
