Tipsycake in Chicago was wonderful. Naomi, the owner was always prompt in replying to me questions and was flexible with my time frames. The cake was beautiful! It tasted wonderful and it was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend tipsycake in Chicago to anyone, they did an excellent job and I have no complaints.

Our cake was beautiful and delicious and the price was very reasonable. The only problem we had was our caterer had a hard time cutting the cake for some reason which resulted in big slices and we ran out of cake. It was not that big of a deal b/c most everyone got a slice but still. I am not sure if this was a problem with the caterer or the cake, our design was very simple too. But I still reccomend them!

We met with Naomi, and she gave us a bit of a hard sell, but the samples were great. She completely sold us on her passion fruit butter cream, and she helped us pick a cake design. We brought a few pictures in, and our cake at the wedding looked exactly like the picture. It was perfect. We got a different type of cake for each of our layers, and each layer tasted great, although I couldn't taste the passion fruit butter cream I was so excited about, and the color of one of the layers seemed a little intense (really really yellow). But I was more concerned about the taste, which was excellent (especially the fondant! amazing). Naomi followed up with me right after the wedding, and was very professional and responsive. I would recommend using her in the future. My mother-in-law also used her for our rehearsal dinner cake, which was really cute and tasted great as well.

When we went to the bakery first it was about a year before the wedding and we decided right then and there that was where we wanted the cake from. I loved cupcakes and wanted something different for our wedding. we decided for cupcakes and loved them all. we had 5 different kind of flavors with 5 different kind of frostings they were just beautiful and people loved it at our wedding. it was so much more convenient. I would recomend tipsy cake and i might go there for our future cakes once again.

Naomi, the owner, met with us for our cake tasting. She was wonderful and helped meet our budget needs. The 3 flavors (2 tiers and one sheet cake) of cake were exceptional and I loved every bite!!!!!

We met with Naomi back in January. She talked with my fiance and came up with a groom's cake that he would love. (My idea of a stack of suitcases to reflect our joint passion of travel was nixed by the both of them. Well, it is a GROOM'S CAKE!)
Anyhoo, his love of the Indianapolis Colts was mentioned. She came up with the idea of this gigantic horse shoe in blue fondant. It is the most hideous shade of blue. It was very Denton.
The red velvet cake was so freaking good that we ate the remaining 3 pieces within hours of getting home the day after the wedding. Cake makes a lovely dinner, no? I would highly recommend.

Naomi was fabulous to work with. I came in with two pictures in hopes of creating a cake that blended the two styles. She executed it flawlessly and was entirely reasonable in price.

If you want a delicious wedding cake, Tipsy is the way to go. Definitely include a red-velvet layer whether you're southern or not... your guests will thank you!
Tipsy has a relaxed approach to cake aesthetics... they'll do or try anything but don't expect the prim, orderly symmetry of a traditional cake. That's not their specialty. The flavor of their cakes are exceptional and in the end, we valued taste over perfect layer alignment.
Plus Naomi is a warm, lovely person (Aussie!) who is easy to work with. My husband is Aussie so this made her an easy choice!

Naomi from Tipsycake made our dreams come true. We had a very specific cake that we wanted made and it was more beautiful then we anticipated. We couldn't have been happier. The bonus: It was the best Carrot Cake that either my wife or I have had, even to this day. Naomi also did a fabulous job in setting up the cake and cake table for the wedding. We regularly get cakes and other baked treats from Tipsycake for our special occasions after our wonderful experience at our wedding. We recommend Tipsycake to anybody who needs wonderful cakes from a baker that cares and goes the extra mile for you.
