Rehka has been there for our wedding journey from the very beginning, she was so accommodating to all of my request and made sure I wouldn’t stress out about anything.
Food was AMAZING and my guests all reallly enjoyed the buffet, the venue was also perfect for my guests.
Thank you again for everything and I highly recommend!!!! -

Amazing Celebration
We had our Sangeet at the Metropolitan on Sep 1, 2022 and everything was incredible. Rajeev did an amazing job with the decor and food and was a pleasure to work with. We also asked us to do some of our wedding decor at another location for the next day and couldnt have asked for a better outcome. He totally recreated our vision for both days. Choose these guys for any celebration and you cant go wrong!! -

We saw three venues when we originally booked our wedding in 2018. We fell in love with the look of the Metropolitan and we decided it was the perfect place. Our wedding was originally scheduled for April 2020 and then the pandemic happened. I worked with Melissa and we moved the wedding to October 2020 and then to April 2022. She was great and made us comfortable every step of the way.
As we got closer to our date in April 2022 I started working with Rekha, one of the owners, who was equally amazing. She was so patient with our many questions. She accommodated all of our requests and finally the big day arrived.
A few days before the wedding we met our maitre'd Barbara who was fantastic. She took care of all the details of the evening and made sure that we were well taken care of. Every detail of the night was seamless thanks to the team at the Metropolitan.
After the wedding multiple guests commented that the food was fantastic. We were so happy with our wedding and we want to thank everyone involved for making this long awaited day so very special. If I have to describe my wedding at the Metropolitan in one word it would be PERFECT! Thank you so much! -

This is Jasmine Parikh, Miss South Asia International 2021, my best friend recently got married and held her Bengali/Desi wedding at The Metropolitan in Glen Cove, NY.
I have performed at and attended countless community events at multiple venues across New York & across the states. Let me start by saying out of all my experiences this was the best experience working with a venue. Nobody manages a venue and leads a team like Mr. Raj and his entire team do. They were an absolute dream for my childhood friend to work with for her fairytale wedding. Raj worked closely with the bride & her family to ensure all aspects of the wedding were covered to perfection. He treats his clients like family. He made sure to attend to every phone call, meeting with the family whenever necessary & he didn’t miss a SINGLE BEAT! Even with planning a last minute COVID wedding! If you’re looking for outstanding delivery for your special event look no further, do not hesitate to book this hall.
Catering/Food was outstanding! Delicious desi halal food was accommodated for the guests and special dishes/entree for the bride & groom which Raj personally ensured to set up! All of our family and friends were left in awe. Their tiered cake was a bliss!
Decorations were absolutely phenomenal as you can tell from the photos. Mr. Raj went above and beyond to deliver extravagant decor for the hall! The bride so badly wanted a flower bed for her entrance which was specifically built for her special day as provided by Raj. The elaborate centerpieces speak for themselves! He added a tasteful touch with the bride & groom’s initials on the grass wall amongst other details. He specially had a divider made as requested for the Nikkah ceremony from gorgeous flowers at the sweetheart table.
Execution was a 1000% on point! Every detail was taken care of— small and big. Raj definitely went out of his way to take care of the bride and her family. He catered to every single request made and absolutely went to larger extents than imagined to make this day special for both the bride and groom as well as their families. His entire team was hardworking, attentive and efficient!
Above all, Raj and his wife are absolute gems of individuals with only positive energy and the best interest at heart for whomever books with them. His experience and expertise in the industry speak for themselves and reflect in his work as he pays attention to understanding your needs and makes intelligent suggestions! This is not the first event at his venues I have worked with him for and I have seen nothing but professionalism and simply perfection every single time. -

Hidden gem on the north shore!
After attending a wedding at The Metropolitan before our wedding, we knew this place was a wonderful option. After visiting various venues, we always went back to The Metropolitan. John was amazing to work with from start to finish. He made us feel like family. Our favorite feature was that it was one event per day. The day of the wedding, Gail, John and our bridal attendant were phenomenal. They made sure that we ate (very important for us, especially since the food is DELICIOUS), had a drink, and danced. Thank you all for ensuring that we had the best night of our lives!! -

If there is one catering hall on Long Island that is overlooked, it is The Metropolitan in Glen Cove, but it shouldn’t be. Everyone should check out this place before choosing your wedding venue. This single-event venue has style, elegance and is reasonably priced. The building has unique architectural characteristics that combine a classic and modern feel, great for on-site ceremonies and photographic moments. The staff, in particular the Director John Casale, was endlessly accommodating from the first tour to the day after the wedding. He had answers and suggestions for every question and concern we had leading up to the big day. The food by far is the best we have eaten at a Long Island affair and our guests cannot stop raving about it! The wedding went so smoothly that we got to fully enjoy every aspect of the day, which we will be forever grateful for. -

The Metropolitan was the closest to perfection you can get. I was originally booked with a different venue and chose to cancel due to some management issues. When I met John he was a breath of fresh air. He was so good I thought he was too good to be true but let me tell you, he’s the real deal. I loved working with him and everything was so convenient. My guests were raving about the food and abundance of it all night. I’ve even had comments of it being the best food they’ve ever had. My maitre’d, Barbara was on it!! She coordinated everything and all of my things that I brought with me to set up beautifully. Maritza was my bridal attendant. She was with me the majority of the time but went missing once in a while when I could’ve used help but nothing crazy.
If you’re booked here you’re in great hands! If you’re still looking for a venue check this place out!! -

User6616835 Sent on 08/29/2014I truly can not say enough wonderful things about John, Barbara, and The Metropolitan. From the very beginning John was extremely welcoming and flexible with price,date, menu options, etc- all to make sure that we were completely happy on our wedding day. We had initially planned a smaller size wedding (under 100) and it was frustrating being pushed away from many venues who would not even consider that number of guests for a Sat. night in summer. John went above and beyond to make it possible for us. Barbara is the maître D , and she is outstanding at what she does. I had a ton of signage and decor and was very specific about how I wanted everything- she made sure it turned out perfect. She even reminded me of a few things the day of our wedding, that I had forgotten about due to all the excitement! While John and Barbara are extremely professional, they also give you a very personalized experience. Not once did I feel like "just another client" , every time I called they knew exactly who I was and were completely up to speed. John even gave me his cell phone number, and I am definitely guilty of sending texts at 10pm when I was having trouble with the seating! As I said, I can just not say enough great things about them. The venue itself is so elegant and intimate, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend!! -

Jennifer Sent on 03/17/2014There aren't enough words to describe how fantastic John and the staff of The Metropolitan were for our wedding. From the very beginning they were extremely responsive to all questions and requests. They were more than accomodating to our guests, and were a true pleasure to work with. Our guests said it was the best food they've every had at a wedding. The cocktail hour was off the hook, and everyone loved the mashed potato bar. The dinners were fresh, cooked to order, and absolutely scrumptious! Barbara was our Maitre D', and was so accomodating. My bridal attendant was very accessible, but didn't hover, which is what I loved. She was right there to make sure I had a drink, enough to eat, and also helped with my bustle when my matron of honor had a hard time seeing the loops.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone for any type of function. Thank you so much for making our day a fantastic one! -

Since the wedding all everyone keeps telling us is how AMAZING the food was!!! The food was great. I would definitely think about The Metropolitan when planning your wedding. The staff and service was amazing! -

She was kind and patient and answered every question I had. The venue itself is just beautiful. Having the entire venue to yourself makes it even more special. My friends and family can't stop raving about how beautiful the space was and how amazing the food was. One of my friends even said "hands down best wedding food ever". I cannot picture my wedding being any more perfect.
