Her expertise shown through in our planning meetings, where she seamlessly guided us through the process, allowing us to bring our vision to life. We're so happy we hired The Harwinton Florist for our wedding! Our initial consultation meeting was so thorough and Chris' expertise was so apparent - we walked away with such a level of comfort and knew we had to hire her! Chris was very responsive throughout our entire planning process - addressing all of our questions, sharing advice and recommendations for things we hadn't even considered, and making sure every detail was addressed and accurate. I'm a Type A person, and so is Chris... which I so appreciated. On our wedding day, everything turned out phenomenal. Amy and team arrived on time, set everything up efficiently, and coordinated well with our other vendors. Most importantly, our flowers came out gorgeous! We were so happy with our arrangements - they were exactly how we had discussed but better than we could have imagined. We gave away our centerpieces to our guests and they raved at their beauty, as well. Everything also photographed so beautifully. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and we can't thank Chris enough for bringing our wedding vision to life. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!

We were fortunate enough to work with Chris before her retirement, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about her. We knew she was the florist for us from our very first consultation. The Perfect Florals for the Perfect Day
We are so grateful we chose Christine from The Harwinton Florist for our wedding flowers. From the very beginning, she made the entire process incredibly easy and enjoyable. She was always fast and clear with communication over email and when my husband and I met with her in person, she took the time to walk us through every detail. I’m not someone who knows much about flowers or didn't have any specific preference to flowers for the wedding, so I simply shared the colors I liked and trusted her creative vision and she absolutely delivered. The arrangements she designed were stunning, and I received countless compliments throughout the day about how perfect the flowers were.
It was also a huge help that Christine has done multiple weddings at The Simsbury Inn and had even worked with our photographer before. Her familiarity with the venue and our other vendors made everything feel seamless and so much less stressful.
My absolute favorite piece was the beautiful floral arch she created for our ceremony. The colors she chose paired perfectly with the sage green fabric that matched our wedding palette and it became such a gorgeous focal point. I also loved that it could be repurposed for the reception so we could enjoy it all night long.
Christine’s talent, professionalism, and warm personality made working with her such a wonderful experience. We couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out and would highly recommend The Harwinton Florist to anyone looking for breathtaking, thoughtfully designed wedding florals.

From our very first meeting with Chris at Harwinton, we knew we were in great hands. Our initial in-person consultation was so helpful and informative — she really took the time to get to know us as a couple, listen to our ideas, and understand the overall vibe we were hoping for. It felt like she truly cared about capturing our vision rather than just fitting us into a template.
Throughout the entire planning process, Chris was flexible and responsive over email, making adjustments and answering all our questions with patience and creativity. We even incorporated some thrifted pieces of our own, and she was more than happy to work them into the floral designs seamlessly — it made everything feel so personal and unique to us.

Christine was an absolute pleasure to work with! From my very first meeting with her I felt that I was in good hands. She had obviously reviewed my survey and knew everyone's name, the location of my ceremony and reception, etc. all without me having to remind her. She was respectful of our budget and was able to give us options to save while never compromising my vision. She asked questions I would have never thought of and was so detail oriented and organized. She handles all the coordination with the venues and other venders so you don't have to which was a huge weight off my shoulders. Wedding florals had been the most stressful part of wedding planning until a fellow bride recommended The Harwinton Florist and it quickly became stress free! Working with Chris was a WIN all around. She is a true expert at her craft, asking us the right questions to help us formulate concepts into a vision and then bring that vision to life. We had no idea what we were doing or talking about but trusted Chris, her years of experience, and artistry. She communicated quickly and clearly, worked within our budget without sacrificing quality or quantity, and held our hands every step of the way. Amazing florist!
Christine was our florist for our July 4th wedding weekend in Simsbury CT. She came highly recommended as a preferred vendor for our venue and now I know why!
The whole process with her was seamless - from our very first intro call up until our planning meeting. She is very through in ensuring that she is capturing your vision within your budget.
Although we live New York and she is based out of CT, she carefully coordinated dates for us to meet with her to go through every single piece she was creating for us.
On the day of wedding, I teared up, she had created something beyond what I was even expecting and envisioning. It’s so evident how much love and care she puts into servicing all of her clients.
I would highly recommend her for any wedding big or small and am looking forward to working with her again in the future!

We had the most STUNNING wedding florals!
We used the Harwinton Florist for our wedding day and Christine did an AMAZING job! I really wanted bright vibrant yellow and blue florals… and they turned out so beautiful. I literally cried the day of my wedding at how stunning they looked.
The whole process of working with Christine was great. She really takes the time to sit down with you and walk you through everything. I didn’t realize there were so many choices and little details to discuss with the flowers, but she made it so easy! And it was fun :)

Christine was a joy to work with! We had a small wedding of about 50 people, and planned it all in about 3 months. Despite not much lead time, Christine pulled together the most beautiful floral arrangements I've ever seen!
She was incredibly responsive and gave us a timeline from the beginning of when we'd check in, when we needed to have final numbers, etc. We met to go over flower choices and she was so helpful in making my vision come to life. The Best Florist Ever!!!!
Christine was absolutely amazing to work with! She made something I could visualize in my head into reality. I’m not a huge flower girl so I thought I would have a hard time explaining to her what I visualized / wanted but the first meeting I had with Chris, she pulled up pictures and was naming the type of flowers I said I liked and it’s like she knew exactly what I wanted. I will be forever grateful for that! I was so stressed out before meeting with her all for nothing. She made picking out my bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages a breeze! Her prices are very reasonable which is an extra bonus. I just had my wedding on 10/14 and I was completely blown away with how BEAUTIFUL and I mean BEAUTIFUL everything was. She delivered our flowers to the venue and I’m telling you once I saw my bouquet and held it, I felt complete, like the most beautiful bride ever and that’s all thanks to Chris!! Christine at Harwinton Florist is absolutely amazing! I didn’t have a definitive idea of what I wanted for flowers for my wedding, but she was extremely helpful in understanding what I liked and guiding me without being pushy or trying to change my mind. My wedding flowers absolutely exceeded my expectations!! They came out BEAUTIFUL and I had so many guests compliment them! And that was with pretty minimalist florals - Christine helped me make the most of the flowers while staying within my budget. I'm a pretty organized person and when choosing vendors, I wanted to make sure I was working with people who were just as organized.. and Christine was exactly that! Christine is amazing, and my husband and I were lucky enough to work for her for my bridal shower, our rehearsal dinner, AND our wedding! Everything she created for those events was cohesive, elegant, while also being unique. She was able to showcase the colors and ‘vibe’ that I envisioned, while also making sure it all went together and looked great. We used Chris for our wedding this past June. She was the most friendly and caring person to work with. I didn’t know much about flowers but she geared me in the right direction with the flowers that I did want. Every meeting we laughed and smiled, and it was just such a great experience. Come the wedding day, everything was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. The bouquet were absolutely perfect, the arch, centerpieces - I can’t thank Chris enough for everything she did!

Incredible floral artistry!
Christine is very professional, organized, helpful, and amazing at what she does! Her work really shines when you take her advice and give her some space to put everything together! We were a bit of a challenge as two brides with very different styles, but she designed two beautiful bouquets that complimented each other and we both loved. Christine was amazing to work with! We had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021 and have been working with Christine since 2019! I am not a big flower person so I didn't have a specific flower, but did want greenery and I knew burgundy. She spent about a half hour on our initial call to paint a beautiful picture of what some good options would be. I hired her right after! I loved that she took the time and didn't rush. I had some Pinterest ideas that I shared with her and she brought everything to life. Fast forward to the wedding, she gave me such great advice on adding certain colors in to make things pop and OMG was the day of beautiful !!! I highly recommend using this company!

She was able to take my terrible descriptions (because I hadn’t given much thought to flowers before the consult with her) and screenshots of pictures on Pinterest, and combine those with me describing our decor style to her and then come up with the most PERFECT bouquets, centerpieces and other floral arrangements I could have asked for!! We had a Gatsby themed wedding at The Riverview and Christine went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. She is very knowledgeable and is very down to earth and honest with her opinions and suggestions. Our tables came out perfect and our guests were astonished by the amazing work she put into our centerpieces. She even came to the rescue when we decided that we were going to add brooches onto our cake. She worked closely with the chef to make sure everything was placed and secured properly. We love Christine!
We went to a friend’s wedding last year and saw all the beautiful floral arrangements and asked who they worked with and it was Christine! We contacted her soon after and met to go over our wedding vision. Christine was amazing! She was super organized during the whole planning process making my job easy. She seemed to know exactly what I wanted, made suggestions and had pictures to help me decide things I wasn’t so sure about and she stayed within our budget! Her arrangements were beyond beautiful and just enhanced the venue better than my Pinterest board! Everything from my bouquet, to the pergola set up to the boutonnieres to the centerpieces were so breathtaking and we received so many compliments! We were worried people wouldn’t take the centerpieces home but they were all scooped up by the end of the night! First, the flowers were everything I could have asked for. They were absolutely beautiful and exactly what we talked about.
Christine was absolutely wonderful to work with. Once I talked to her on the phone I knew we were on the same page when it came to look and price, and that she was a genuine person. I truly enjoyed working with her and her talents shown through at our wedding.
Highlights: We did half of the table centerpieces tall and half short to be budget friendly. She understood me saying “I want the ‘greenery’ of the outside of the Riverview to show in the floral pieces”. And! She helped us plan the agenda for the pillars of birch with arrangements and made sure the Riverview moved them from the ceremony space to the sweetheart table so they had full use.

An amazing florist!
Chris went above and beyond to create my vision on our wedding day! Since I was doing a small wedding, I initially thought I would do my flowers myself. However, as the planning started, I felt overwhelmed by another task. I reached out to Chris with a tight budget to see what she could do and if it was even possible. I was amazed how she went above and beyond to provide options that would fit within my budget. Brides- you do not have to spend thousands to have beautiful florals! Chris made recommendations that would work for the season as well. When it turned out to be the hottest day of the summer, Chris made minor adjustments so my flowers would look beautiful in the heat. Working with Chris was amazing! Halfway through the wedding planning, I changed my theme and colors, but Chris was so flexible and helped me pick new flowers to match my vision. It was 90 degrees and humid on my wedding day, with no AC in the church, and the flowers still looked fresh and beautiful. Everything was organized and labeled, and exactly what I had picked out. Christine at the Harwinton Florist deserves more than five stars! She did all the florals for our wedding on June 7, 2019 and everything was GORGEOUS! She created our bouquets, boutineers, wristlets, centerpieces, floral arrangements for decorations, all the flowers for our ceremony and decorated our chuppah. When I arrived at the venue I immediately ran outside to see what the ceremony space looked like and I cried. Literally cried. It was so beautiful. It was as if Christine was in my head and knew exactly what I was picturing and made it a reality. I’m no expert in flowers and when I shared with her some of the things I was imagining, she knew how to put them all together and made our whole wedding so beautiful. We had so many comments on the flowers and how they all went together so beautifully. Christine had given us advice how we could reuse flowers from our ceremony space in our reception areas, which we really appreciated conserving them and with our budget. As for the bouquets, wristlets and boutineers, everything was labeled for who they were for which made the process so easy. From the first minute I met Christine, I knew she would be my florist. She has an infectious personality and there is no doubt she loves what she does, and has extreme talent! We communicated mostly through email, which was very efficient. She even called me the day before the wedding to review her plan for the day-of so that we were completely on the same page and I was OK with it. I shared my ideas with her and she provided so many recommendations for things I hadn't thought about. On the day of the wedding, she walked into the bridal suite with the flowers and I was stunned...I was obsessed with my bouquet!! I remember I kept looking at it and saying "it's perfect!" Christine is AMAZING!! Our wedding was on October 13, 2018, church ceremony at St. Patrick’s and reception at Farmington Gardens. She was part of the recommended vendors for the FG and also was our wedding planners florist so obviously that says a lot already. After meeting with a Christine the first time I knew she was perfect. She went over every detail and brought up things I wouldn’t have even thought of. For someone who doesn’t know much about flowers she had pictures and descriptions and ideas for me after me just telling her the colors I wanted. My bouquet was STUNNING and everything I had ever pictured it brought tears to my eyes when she brought it in. All my girls were in love with their bouquets and the boutonnières were awesome, I don’t think any guy lost or broke theirs which also says a lot because guys don’t pay attention to those things. Christine actually suggested leaving the boutonnières at the church so the Guys wouldnt be taking the jackets on and off so they didn’t have the option of breaking them before the ceremony, which was such a good call. She had worked with both places before so that made it easy since she knew what we would need at each place. She was very accommodating with meetings and times of everything and the flowers also last pretty long after so if you’re on the fence about flowers just do it it’s so worth it!! The pictures with our boutiques were stunning! Everything came together because Christine knew what she was doing, she loves what she does and that shows!

We can not say enough positive things about working with Chris at Harwinton Florist! We were able to meet with Chris numerous times in the year leading up to our wedding and share pinterest boards and ideas as they came up. Chris took the time to ask the right questions to really get a full picture of what our hopes and dreams for the day were and how she could help with our vision. Christine sat with us for almost two hours by my estimation, on a Friday night before moving to her new building making sure I was satisfied I had picked the perfect flowers. She had an iPad full of beautiful arrangements she had done before and offered expert opinions on what would go with my navy theme (since there are no navy flowers...). She answered all of my frequent emails with confidence and expert advice, usually within just a few hours of me sending them. Something I also appreciated was her candor about the availability and cost of some of the flowers. She never tried to up-sell me some expensive exotic flower and was straight with me about the cost of everything and which flowers were more risky in terms of looking nice exactly when we needed them to (i.e. lilies can be finnicky). Everything looked perfect on the day-of. I couldn't have been happier. Absolutely stunning arrangements! Chris is so great to work with and she has a real instinct for her work. I went into her shop without knowing much about flowers and really just knew my color scheme. Within 30 minutes she had all of the details laid out in a manner that was better than anything I would've ever come up with and it was exactly what I wanted. Her and her team were always ready and very prompt on the big day. They were already done with setup by the time the girls and I got to the venue. I didn't have a thing to worry about when it came to the Harwinton Florist and I would absolutely hire them again!

Chris is an incredible florist. I was blown away by how lovely my flowers were. Because I was planning my wedding from out of state, I called several florists with initial inquiries. Not only did Chris respond most promptly, but she was happy to talk through everything I needed, asked great questions, and had many suggestions for how to accomplish what I wanted. She even pulled up my Pinterest page and referenced specific arrangements I had pinned to make sure we were on the same page. On top of that, the other florists I spoke to talked about the same types of flowers Chris did—but then quoted me prices that were several hundred dollars higher! Chris was obviously the better choice. She delivered gorgeous bouquets that were just what I wanted on time and in my budget. I couldn’t ask for more! (And my family went to her for my bridal shower flowers, which were also spectacular. Chris’s work is always impressive).

They made my dream come true. I was super specific and actually had a different florist who did not make me comfortable so I was directed to just meet with Harwinton-thank goodness I did. On June 25, 2016 my husband and I were married at The Riverview in Simsbury, CT. Christine from Harwinton Florist was extraordinary! She listened to our ideas and worked with our budget to create amazing floral arrangements. She made incredible centerpieces incorporating our items plus the venue's items. She even decorated our arch, aisle, as well as the mantle and tables in the main hallway leading to the venue space. The bouquets were gorgeous I wish they could last forever! All of the flowers were perfect and Christine was an absolute pleasure to work with. We highly recommend her!

Chris was great to work with! She was interested in what I was envisioning, encouraging me to use my Pinterest board to help articulate to her what I was looking for (and what I wasn't looking for!). She is so knowledgeable and able to give suggestions in order to keep you on budget and what will look good. It was also a big plus that she has a great working arrangement with our venue, the Simsbury Inn, and was able to work with the venue coordinator to make tweaks day of when the ceremony was moved inside. Our flowers were awesome, and they look so great in all our photos :)

The gals at The Harwinton Florist completely exceeded my expectations in terms of floral arrangements for our wedding. I was an out of state bride getting married in CT and unfortunately could not meet with Christine but had a very lengthy, detailed phone conversation about my visions for my arrangements. They hit the nail over the head and completely wowed me with my bouquet. The icing on the cake was the bout's and corsages that they made for the rest of my bridal party and the bout she made custom for my husband to show off his passion for football. I would recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for great service and amazing products for a very reasonable price.

This company was simply the BEST to work with. Out of all of the wedding vendors we used, Chris and her team were definitely at the top in terms of quality, responsiveness, and professionalism. I had very little knowledge about flowers and to be honest, was intimidated by meeting with a florist. When I first saw the bouquets all of my bridesmaids were raving about how amazing our bouquets looked. I had white gerber daisies for my bouquet and coral, pinks, and yellows for my bridesmaids. You could tell they were a good quality. I can be very picky and she was able to turn everything into exactly what I was looking for. I showed Chris some of the ideas I had and she was able to take it to the next level to make it even better. The ceremony decoration and centerpieces were absolutely stunning. Christine and her staff are beyond compare! They were very knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with. I had brought in photos from magazines of the style I was looking for and I have to honestly say that the end result was far more stunning. The bouquets took my breath away.
I knew after the first meeting that the flowers were in great hands and it was a relief not to have to worry about such an integral part of the day.
I will only be using The Harwinton Florist for all of my flower needs.

I just wanted to say the service Harwinton provided me with was outstanding. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous. I sat down twice with the owner Christine who was awesome and so fun to work with, once in the very beginning of the process and once before the event. I gave her my vision and she was spot on. I did my walk through the morning of my wedding while they were decorating and I was so happy with everything. Everyone at my wedding said how much they couldn't get over the beautiful florals. My cake was decorated exactly how I envisioned it. The ceremony florals and Centerpeices for the receptions were the highlight as everyone raved about them and wanted to take them home. Christine was extremely flexible and open to my ideas and her prices were very reasonable. The best I had come across when interviewing some of your competiters.
All an all.. If I had to do it again, no question.. I would use Harwinton!!! Love them!

I met with Christine twice, she told me to bring pictures of what I liked, I printed out some ideas that I was leaning towards but also left a lot of it in her hands telling her to do what she thinks is best. I personally did not get a chance to speak to the florist. We had to ask her to do our wedding flowers only a few days before the wedding, as our original florist backed out at the last minute. My fiancé suggested her remembering that he had used her in the past for floral arrangements. Harwinton Florist did an awesome job the flowers were beautiful. Simple elegant and exactly what I had wanted. Not only were they able to do the flowers on very, very short notice but they cost ½ of what I was going to pay the original florist.
They are great and I would recommend them for any occasion!

Christine was wonderful to work with, and her arrangements were just what we asked for. We didn't think it would be easy to come up with bouquets that incorporated orange without them looking like fall but that's exactly what we got.
We were lucky in that she did the floral arrangements for my sister-in-law so we got a "preview of coming attractions" but interacting with Christine was what sealed the deal. She was calm, confident and knowledgeable every step of the way.
Everything was gorgeous, we paid exactly what we thought we should pay, and with shifting "this relative is coming no she isn't but this one is" arrangements she took a last-minute change in stride and addressed it with a "no problem" - while we knew she was on vacation. She's a pro and we wouldn't have wanted to go with anyone else.

My mother made the bouquets and other arrangements at my wedding out of silk flowers. She was feeling overwhelmed and we decided to hire a florist to do the corsages and boutineers.
I was very surprised at how many vendors turned us away because our job was "too small" for them..."not worth the time."
The Harwinton Florist was one of the only ones that did not have that kind of response to us. She set up a regular sit-down meeting with me and made me feel as if I was just as important as anyone ordering hundreds of floral arrangements.
She was creative with my ideas (I don't know names of flowers or what would look good - just what colors I wanted). She spent a lot of time with me and the results on the wedding day shown. We had many compliments and I was just so pleased with this company. She had checked in with me a couple of times the week before, and I didn't have to worry about the flowers being fresh and delivered on time.

We met with the Harwinton Florist and were really impressed with their willingness to meet our flower needs and stay within our budget. The flowers we had (ivory roses, hydrangeas, berries, etc) were expertly crafted and lasted through the July heat. My bridal bouquet even perked back up the next day once it was put on water. She made the entire experience fun, and STRESS FREE!! All of our flowers were above and beyond my hopes, just perfect! Ladies, if you're holding your reception at a venue that has a staircase and banister HAVE Chris decorate it, it adds SO much character and that too was gorgeous! My flowers were everything I could hope for and so much more!

Our wedding was last September and we decided to have the Harwinton Florist provide for all of our floral needs. From the first time I met with Chris (the owner) I felt reassured and confident that she would provide the best service and flowers available. She helped with every detail, from color, size, arrangements, style, you name it- she helped create it. She was also very conscious of my budget and overall vision that I wanted to create for my wedding day. She delivered and set up all of our flowers the day of my wedding. Her staff was on time, pleasant and quite helpful. The flowers were absoultely beautiful and everything and then some of what I had expected. It was a pleasure working with the Harwinton Florist and I would recommed their services to anyone! My wedding went off without a hitch and I recieved more compliments on my flowers than I can count. Thanks Harwinton Florist for helping make my wedding beautiful and a great day to remember!!!

We chose The Harwinton Florist because we wanted our wedding to be a sophisticated and elegant event, didn't want to break the bank, and didn't want our flowers to look like an afterthought. I was a first-time, stressed out bride-to-be who was a little clueless about flowers. I had no idea which flowers I wanted, how many boutonnieres or corsages to order, how big the bouquets should be, etc. Chris asked about my ideas, my dress, my vision of the day, colors, flower likes and dislikes. Then she instantly took everything I said and came up a whole gameplan of ideas. I was struck by how great it was for someone to come up with fabulous ideas for me! I put down my planner and let her go with her ideas. She kept budget and tone of the event in mind every step of the way, and made sure we were on the same page with contract, expectations, and cost. The flowers were delivered the day of the wedding and set up on time and perfectly. She incorporated every one of the items I had selected for the tables. (The picture of the ceramic pumpkin centerpiece with gorgeous pumpkin roses in her portfolio is from my wedding). Everyone was blown away by the beautiful bouquets, the quality of the blooms, and the creativity of each individual and unique table centerpiece. I was so happy to have chosen such a talented professional to deal with, and would recommend her without reservation for anyone planning their own special day.

My husband Tyler and I were married on October 20, 2007 at Wood Acres Farm in Terryville, CT. We chose the Harwinton Florist to design our wedding flowers. Since it was deep into the fall, we chose not to have very many flowers, but to use what the seasons had to offer (i.e. pumpkins, leaves, gourds, etc.). I do not know much about flowers, but I know what I like, and Chris (the owner of Harwinton Florist) met with me and took down my thoughts and suggestions, and I told her to do whatever. I can say that once my wedding day came, I had nothing to worry about when it came to the florist. I expected the Harwinton Florist to deliver, and they did - tenfold! I have never seen such beautiful bouquets or centerpieces in my life! I was so pleased, and received so many wonderful comments about our choice of flowers. I would highly reccomend the Harwinton Florist for any Wedding or flower needs!

The Harwinton Florist won me over many other florists with their amazing charm and personality. The day of my wedding my flowers looked absolutely amazing and they were everything that I asked for. On top of it all they made sure to work closely within by budget, which is very important these days. I could not have asked for better service! I would recommend them to anyone.
