Melisa at The Event of a Lifetime, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Six months before our wedding, our venue unexpectedly went bankrupt—a stressful situation to say the least. Even before we were aware of the issue, Melisa had already prepared five backup options that would allow us to keep our original date.
Thanks to her incredible negotiation skills, we ended up securing an even better venue at the same price—one we loved even more than our original choice, 48 Wall Street. Throughout the planning process, Melisa guided us every step of the way, making decisions feel easy and manageable.
On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly. Our guests are still telling us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, and I would highly recommend Melisa to anyone planning a wedding in NYC or Westchester.

Melisa planned a party for my 60th Birthday that blew me away! I wanted a Margaritaville themed party and I couldn't believe some of the things she came up with! Melisa worked with my budget and exceeded even my imagination. Her creativity and attention to detail was perfection. I travel for business, and she worked with my very busy schedule to remove the stress and worry. She was so excited that she made the planning fun. Melisa truly thought of everything, from such creative invitations, unbelievable decor, themed food, music and entertainment. When I arrived, I was blown away by what she had created. I'm so glad she convinced me to have a photographer because now I have great photos in addition to the unforgettable memory of dancing, laughing and spending precious time with my friends and family who hadn't all been together in years. Thank you to Melisa and her exceptional crew for helping make this milestone birthday so special for me and my loved ones. -

I got to enjoy my event to the fullest!
I’ve finally recovered from all the fun from last night. I am speechless as to how everything went… perfect! We had an amazing night which we wouldn’t have had if it wasn’t for your organization and attention to details. You were right from the beginning; the linens and glassware brought the whole place up a few notches. Aliza and Anna were so professional. Both were attentive at all times. Aliza was a pro at calming and redirecting me at times when I was overthinking things. Forever Grateful! -

Melisa planned an exceptional day for our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah at the Loading Dock. We began working together about 12 months before the event and she helped us choose a venue, DJ, decor, favors, swag—she even helped zip up my gown! When Melisa broke her ankle a week before our event, I was worried. But she fully delivered—on wheels! In a scooter, she still managed to make sure every detail of our event went smoothly and on time. I expected there to be mistakes, but honestly, every element of the party was perfect. She coordinated the day-of timing beautifully and made sure I remembered to pack all the little items. Our family was truly able to be present at our party and enjoy our guests. Most importantly, our daughter felt loved and special because of a perfectly planned Mitzvah. -

We are so grateful to Melisa for planning the event of a lifetime! We will never forget it. Everyone loved the food, the caterers were awesome, balloons and decor were over the top. Music, videos, MC and venue were perfect. She was patient, open to ideas, worked within our budget & gave creative options to bring our theme alive. Melisa & her assistant Eliza were courteous, and attentive allowing us to fully emerse ourselves in the experience we've dreamed of. We even had cake leftover for breakfast! -

Great choice!
All went smooth with our wedding with many great suggestions thanks to The Event Of A Lifetime, Inc. Amazing , considering I was in Europe and only in remote contact with New York. The best part was the access to spectacular venues that were not on our radar and the adaptability to our dietary and other special requests. A great choice for your special event. -

Melisa is an astute professional who had the experience and patience to guide us through six different plans as we prepared a wedding during the pandemic. She was always there to steer us in the right direction and was respectful of family traditions and the likes and dislikes of the bride and groom. Melisa is easy to work with, organized, and detail-oriented -- and she kept us on track with the many, many decisions that had to be made. Melisa also recommended excellent vendors and helped us negotiate for what we wanted and needed. On the night of the wedding, many of our guests told us how pleasant Melisa and her team were and how they helped things run very smoothly. It was a fantastic celebration and Melisa played a critical role. We would highly, highly recommend her. -

Flawless execution!
Melisa was incredible! I came to her in a panic when I had changed venues multiple times already and was in over my head. With 3 months to go before my son's Bar Mitzvah, Melisa secured a spectacular entertainment and decor vendor, organized everything and helped bring our vision to life. Her ideas and execution were flawless and the event was truly the Event of A Lifetime for all of us. -

We’ve had Melisa’s help with 2 Bat Mitzvahs, 10 years apart… and we’d want Melisa’s help for every event we host in the future… she’s incredible! 3 things: (1) She’s an amazing organizer, making sure that we’re getting the best service at the best price from all of the vendors, and then coordinating their activity. (2) She’s a magical problem-solver, seeming to have found and implemented solutions before we even realized there was problem. From small hiccups (like, the cake delivery van being rear-ended just before reaching our site) to bigger hurdles (like, NYC inspectors shutting down a site just weeks before the event, or a pandemic requiring constant re-thinking of every aspect of a party)… she handles it all; it’s astounding. (3) As importantly, Melisa really listens to how our daughter and we describe hopes for the day, thinks about what we’re “really” saying (even if we don’t realize), and develops a vision that realizes all of that with so much more creativity than we could possibly bring to this ourselves. She’s essential; having her involved allow us to enjoy the day and the time leading up to it, without the headaches and hassles, with the confidence that any unexpected trouble will be resolved, and with memories of an event that will last a lifetime. We couldn’t be more enthusiastic or grateful. -

The Event of a Lifetime helped me plan my son's backyard Bar Mitzvah. COVID changed our plans drastically, and Melissa and her team made our day and night time party truly amazing. From the first call I had with Melissa to the final day of set up, she made everything run as smoothly as possible and made sure I was adhering to all the COVID guidelines. She referred me vendors to use that were reasonably priced and all showed up and did exactly what they said they would. She problem solved a major issue with the tent for me the day before the party and even up to the start of the party, allowing me not to worry! I can only say great things about The Event of A Lifetime. Thank you to Melissa and her team for their guidance and support throughout the party planning!!! I would recommend them to all. -
