    Held our wedding ceremony and reception, and a brunch the morning after our wedding at the Bernards Inn and everything was wonderful!

    By the end of our tour of the Bernards Inn with Amanda (the onsite event coordinator), we knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding. Photos on the BI website do not do this quaint and charming boutique hotel justice, and the food, entire staff, and ambiance was exactly as hoped for. We held our ceremony on the main floor in the Fenwick A Room, our cocktail hour in the downstairs area (recently renamed "The Bernie"), and used the entire ballroom on the main floor ((Fenwick A and B) for our reception which easily held 80 guests. Felix (the banquet manager) and his team of servers were on top of the details, Rayne (our bridal attendant) was very attentive, and Leticia, Angel and Nancy at the front desk could not have been any more helpful; ensuring that our overnight guests had everything they needed. Two other features of the location that we and our guests appreciated were the abundance of free (Saturday) parking in the train station lot across the street from the BI and the fact that the BI bar stayed open until well after our wedding wrapped at 10:00 p.m.

    Great team, food & service. Beautiful reception venue.

    We held our cocktail hour, wedding reception & after party at the Bernards Inn - the team (Amanda for all the planning & Felix on the day of) were great to work with and helped our vision come to life! They were understanding throughout the planning process and accommodating with everything from our menu and timeline to requests for the hotel throughout the weekend and provided recommendations on other vendors. We had a lot of guests traveling in and ended up blocking the whole hotel and were supported with a myriad of requests related to that. We loved the very special, unique & memorable cocktail hour in the Silver Vault Wine Pantry. The reception in the ballroom was perfect for our wedding of just over 100 people with a good size dancefloor and a 7 piece band! All the food & drinks were excellent as well as the exceptional service throughout the event - many guests commented on the high level of service - thank you to the staff, Amanda, Felix & the rest of team for our beautiful day!

    Great rooms and service a very lovely time

    Our family engaged the Bernardsville Inn for a weekend wedding at an estate in Bernardsville we had a family and friends to occupy all the rooms in the end. We had the rehearsal dinner in the taproom in the basement on Friday night and attended the wedding on Saturday with everyone in the bridal party staying over until Sunday. The team at the end headed by Gen. manager Mary Pavlini provided service that met or exceeded the service I have received in any hotel in America. At a moments notice bags and packages were taken in and out of the Inn as needed and the byword of the Inn seem to be "is there anything more we can do for you". Apart from the service all the food we ate at the rehearsal dinner, and for those who came up on Friday night, was just excellent. I cannot cannot give a higher recommendation to any establishment.

    Most beautiful venue!!!!

    I am so glad we choose this venue!
    Everything was so perfect and beautiful. Amanda made the planning so easy. The wine cellar is PERFECT for small wedding, super intimate and romantic!
    Cannot wait to go back for our 1 year anniversary!

    Elegant Celebration

    The Bernards Inn is a class act establishment. Our wedding ceremony and reception went on without a single hitch. Amanda and Felix were attentive, flexible, and easy to work with!! Everyone on site from the servers and bartenders to guest services were pleasant and helpful.

    Fantastic perfect magic

    We had a small intimate wedding ceremony and dinner in the Silver Vault and it was perfect. The staff was so helpful to allow us to really customize the space and the food and the service top notch. Everyone had a great time!

    Christmas Wedding 2019

    The Bernard's Inn was the perfect choice for our Christmas wedding! Amanda and her staff were so responsive and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. We booked the venue over a year in advance and they had changed the event manager during that time but Amanda made sure everything was set for our wedding day. Every detail was planned out perfectly and our wedding could not have been more amazing! On our wedding day, Amanda stayed late to make sure everything went smoothly. The venue is gorgeous and was already decorated for Christmas during my December 14th wedding. My guests loved taking pictures by the Christmas tree in the front entrance. Everyone loved the food and my guests raved about the cocktail hour! The cocktail hour is in a wine pantry and is so romantic and cozy your guests will love it! We also had our after party in the wine pantry. The venue has 20 guest rooms, which was a huge plus for us! The bridal suite is perfect for pictures and getting ready in. My guests who stayed the night absolutely loved their rooms. From planning the wedding to the day of, everything and everyone at The Bernard's Inn was perfect! I would recommend this venue to anyone!! Thank you so much for making our wedding day so magical.

    Intimate family wedding

    Our intimate family wedding at the Bernards Inn was fantastic! We spent only a month putting the day together, but the day of went off flawlessly! We had a 10 person ceremony in the silver cellar, followed by an hour for pictures, and then our additional family and friends arrived for a total of just 40 guests. The cocktail hour in the silver cellar had the perfect intimate, elegant and romantic vibe with our own music piped in. We were able to also put together our own centerpieces on their wood tables for dinner in the wine pantry. Andrea worked to make sure my flowers survived until our Sunday afternoon event in their refrigerator (and they did, thank you!). I really appreciated how the Bernard's Inn worked with us to make our event fall within our budget (beer, wine, champagne only bar) without judgement or making it feel like we skipped over important details. It was a wonderful day and weekend (I highly recommend staying before and after the wedding!).

    Everything we wanted for our wedding!

    We got married in July at the Bernards Inn. We live out of town and so we were planning the wedding from long distance. The entire process was seamless and the team there, Andrea especially, is so amazing that we were able to trust that everything would work out despite not being there for much of the planning process. On the wedding weekend, everything exceeded our expectations! From the service to the food, to the charm of the Inn, we and our guests were blown away! I could not recommend a spot more - it was simply perfect!!!

    A pleasure, for start to finish

    Hosted a birthday party at the Bernard's Inn and from the minute we we sat down in the venue, we knew it was the perfect fit. After seeing a half dozen other restaurants, we signed on the spot.

    The planners are excellent, they respond usually within an hour. The servers were incredible, each introducing themselves and making sure everyone was happy and well looked after. The food is amazing. If you've never dined at the Bernard's Inn, you must try it. We did not ask for a sampling of food prior to our event, simply because we kew it would be top-notch, and it certainly was.

    They have a few private dining menu options, and we chose the open bar and cordial service which worked out wonderfully, both in convenience and in price. We added a few item to the set menu, including a salad, extra pasta course and additional entree choice. Seriously, nothing is an issue, you ask, and they make it happen all for an extremely reasonable price.

    We had a few people comment that a private event must be a fortune at the Inn, but honestly, I thought it was a great value when you consider all you're getting, not to mention a staff that literally takes care of the tiniest detail.

    We were so thrilled at the end of the night, we joked about finding an excuse to host another party in the very near future.

    A Dream Come True

    Our wedding on June 1st was an absolute dream! The Bernards Inn is a truly beautiful venue with fantastic service ! Andrea and her team were responsive to my questions and took care of our every need. The day of the wedding all we had to do was smile and enjoy the day! It was everything we could have ever dreamed of and we cannot thank the team enough for everything! We will absolutely be back for our anniversary to relive the best day of our lives!

    Sophisticated, beautiful and fun venue

    Andrea, Felix and the whole team were extremely responsive and easy to deal with. The food was excellent and the service could not have been more friendly and accommodating. We had such fun we didn't want the event to end.

    Wonderful wedding at the Bernards Inn

    Our wedding in 2/2019 was perfect. The weather was cool and sunny and everything went as planned, thanks to the staff at the Bernards Inn. We received SO many compliments about the food. It was delicious. Our wedding was small and held in the Silver Vault and Wine Pantry which was perfect for us. Very intimate and private. The fireplaces and warm wood decor was just what we wanted in February - classy yet romantic.

    You Can't Beat the Bernards Inn!

    I could not love this charming little inn any more. I am from the area and have grown up coming here, so it was important that the Inn be part of our wedding...and it was a HUGE part! We had our rehearsal dinner in the Silver Vault and it was absolutely spectacular. Food was divine (to this day I have never had a better lobster bisque), service was on point, and the ambiance romantic, cozy, and elegant. Most of our guests stayed at the Inn and I received many texts about how lovely they found it and consequently, how lovely they found the town. I stayed in the Bridal Suite the night before the wedding and it was so comfortable, it felt like home. The morning of the wedding, they set up a hot breakfast and coffee and juice outside the suite in the hallway for my girls and I to enjoy while getting ready. At one point, my mother went outside to find a line! Apparently hotel guests thought it was for them. We called downstairs and the Inn IMMEDIATELY printed and put up a sign for the table alerting the hotel guests that it was for the bridal party, and they replenished all of the food as well. Everyone had a laugh and it was perfectly fine. The morning after the wedding, my husband's family hosted a farewell breakfast for our guests in the green room and once again the food was delicious and the service was great. It was a perfect way to fill everyone up with good food and send them off. The Inn handled all of our events seamlessly and with traditional small town grace and charm.

    Dream Wedding come true!

    My husband and I knew we wanted a wedding that was intimate and family centered, when we walked into the Bernards Inn we knew that this was the place that would fulfill that dream. Working with Andrea and her team was fabulous especially since I did not live in NJ at the time of the wedding. They answered every question and email, and helped put together our vision. The day was absolutely fabulous, I still get rave reviews from our guests on how fabulous the atmosphere, the food, the drinks and most importantly the staff. Every was extremely professional and made that day run so smoothly and helped every step of the way.

    I cannot say enough about The Bernards Inn. Andrea, Andrea and Elizabeth were THE BEST. Everyone was passionate, hard working, and wanting to please us at every turn. Seriously. They all went above and beyond the call of duty without batting an eye. When Andrea found out I hadn't eaten yet, magically food appeared and she was feeding it to me. They copied my program/invitation design for the menus. The cake was a dang masterpiece. I asked for an iceberg and they grew me custom blue crystals. WHAT. My mom is a former catering manager and is VERY hard to please, because she knows the business so well, and she's very picky. She was BLOWN AWAY. Food was amazing, service was great. I've been told by a lot of my guests it was the best wedding they've ever been to -- AND I BELIEVE THEM. Thinking of booking The Bernards Inn? Do. It.

    The Bernard’s inn made me wedding day seamless and stress free - this is a venue that includes a wedding co-ordinator (Andrea) the day of, and believe me, you need it! Andrea was fantastic from our first meeting with her. Incredibly flexible, helpful and really understood what we were looking for. Oh and the food? OUTSTANDING. Our guests had a great time and we danced all night. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

    We had the most beautiful and delightful rehearsal dinner! The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, the food was great, and our guests had a truly wonderful time. I don't think we could have had a better experience than the evening we and our forty guests shared at The Bernard's Inn.

    I have hosted 2 Group Dinners for my Team and both have far exceeded our expectations. No restaurant in the area can compete. The food is amazing, the wine selection fantastic and the service is 5 star.

    Our wedding would not have been the same if it were anywhere else... Andrea and the entire team helped bring our vision for our day to life! Our wedding day could not have been more perfect. The food, wine selection and service were incredible. Everything ran seamlessly. Our cake was everything we could have hoped for! The entire day was just unforgettable and we cannot thank The Inn enough. Whether it's a Bernards burger at the bar or a full blown wedding- you cannot go wrong at The Bernards Inn!

    Everything the inn provided was over the top. They could not have been more supportive or accommodating and professional. The general manager was always available for any questions or concerns. She worked beautifully with the florist, photographer and band. She stayed at the wedding until dinner was served. The maitre d' and wait staff were the best. Food quality was outstanding.
    There was nothing they could have improved on.
    It was truly a perfect evening!
    Brunch the next morning was excellent in every way.
    It was an absolute pleasure to work with them.

    We had a wonderful 70th birthday party for my parents. Andrea was very responsive in helping us to plan it. The Wine Room was perfect for our party of 30. I loved how the cocktail 1/2 hr was separate from the dinner room. Jake was very helpful in getting us everything that we needed (easel for poster sized photos, gluten free meals, cleaning up a broken glass, etc.). We had a fantastic time and my parents and their friends are still raving over how amazing it was! Food and drinks were great and service was perfect. Highly recommend!

    A great venue with real charm and a fantastic team working to ensure all expectations were met or exceeded. I highly recommend this venue.

    The staff at the Bernards Inn was meticulous about every aspect of the reception we planned for my soon and daughter in law law that took placre with the banquet manager Andrea Testa. . She was very helpful and made sure that the party. I highly recommend having a special event for a family member at the Bernards Inn. This was the second event that we had there.

    The Bernards Inn was excellent in every way. First of all, Jessica Quesada was our coordinator, she was truly fabulous from the very beginning we met with her. She took time to go over all the wedding packages, and all the options we had. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Most of all, she is very warm and caring.
    Everything went very smoothly on the wedding day. The food at the cocktail hour as well as the reception was excellent. We had so many guests complimenting the food. The service was excellent and the tables at the reception were absolutely beautiful set up. I would definitely recommend Jessica as well as the Bernards Inn.

    Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful wedding - the Bernards Inn certainly pulls off elegant, seamless weddings with ease. My groom, our families, the bridal party, and I did not have to worry about a thing.. the staff is fabulous. Five stars all around.. and of course, our guests still cannot stop talking about the food. Absolutely exquisite.

    My husband and I just celebrated our wedding at The Bernard's Inn this past Saturday. One word sums up our night...."magical"!!! The service, food, ambiance, was just second to none!! Our banquet manager, Andrea Testa worked tirelessly to make our day so incredibly perfect!! Our guests cannot stop talking about it!!     We certainly chose well when we decided to have our wedding at The Bernards Inn. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Bonnie was so very helpful during the planning stages, and her execution exceeded our expectations. The rooms were beautiful as well as functional, and our guests raved about the food. The service staff was amazing. Each member of this well-trained team watched over the room at all times, attending to our guests with speed and grace. The Bernards Inn took all the stress and little details out of our hands, allowing us to completely enjoy our special day.

    Steve, my husband, and I am so happy that we chose The Bernards Inn for our wedding reception. From the selection and planning stages right through to the Big Day, we were not disappointed. Entirely professional, thorough and flexible in approach, every detail was not overlooked by Bonnie and the team. We felt that Bonnie shared personally in the success of our event! I truly valued her advice, direction and partnership on all of the decisions that we made. The selection of food offerings was incredible, the wait and bar staff was efficient and professional and, the hotel team was highly attentive. This, coupled with the refined beauty and the elegance of The Inn, resulted in rave reviews from all of our guests. Everyone and everything at The Bernards Inn stands for top notch class and a refined, warm and elegant charm that can not be compared. We look forward to visiting The Inn in the future!

    My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at Bernard's Inn on May 13, 2016. After touring the facility, having an amazing Sunday brunch there and comparing the price to other more casual options in the area (private rooms in upscale pubs) there there was no question. What an incredible venue and perfect location to kick-off our wedding weekend! We had a total of 43 guests and booked the wine cellar. The space is totally private with it's own entrance and is absolutely stunning. Following 45 minutes of cocktails and passed hors' dourves we moved into a separate room for our 4 course dinner. The food was delicious and staff very accommodating.

    We had our wedding reception at the Bernard's Inn and it could not have been more perfect! The Inn is such a beautiful setting between the cozy wine pantry and silver vault where we had our cocktail hour to the gorgeous ballroom upstairs. Bonnie was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She ensured that planning was easy and seamless and flawlessly executed our vision. All of our guests were raving about how wonderful the evening was from the food that was out of this world to the impeccable service, the Bernard's Inn was truly the perfect setting for our wedding!! One of my favorite things from the night was our cake. The on-site pastry chef really outdid herself, we had sent over a few pictures and ideas and the end result was even more beautiful then I could have imagined! The Bernard's Inn is truly an incredible venue and we cannot thank the staff there enough for making our wedding the most wonderful night of our lives!!

    The staff at the Bernards inn was so helpful, and attentive. The bridal attendant and Maitre'D went above and beyond. They kept us on schedule and handled a few situations so we did not have to deal with anything stressful.
    The food at the Bernards inn is of the highest quality. Our guests could not get over the cocktail hour and those pumpkin ravioli are to die for! It's been a month since our big day and our friends and family are still raving about the food. They offer a variety of choices.

    Jessica was very accommodating. We wanted mini cupcakes ( which were delicious) and she helped us choose our signature drink. She also made sure my husband was able to have lamb for his meal which was his one request.

    The inn is beautiful and made for a gorgeous backdrop to all of our pictures, and the bridal suite was amazing!! Joshua B. Was very helpful with setting up our room block and when I needed to add more rooms he took care of it.

    We had a small wedding about 100 guests and the inn was very spacious. It's rustic look makes you feel at home.

    The day went so quickly but we could not have been happier with our expierence.

    I live in Sweden and had to trust the opinions of my mother and my sister with a lot of things. I trust them completely but our opinions on things are not always the same! I only saw the Bernards Inn for the first time a few months before the wedding and my husband saw it only a few days before... It was a scary undertaking but well worth the risk. We chose the Inn because it was accommodating to 'smaller' weddings and there were also rooms for a number of the people we had traveling in. Bonnie was exceptional and truly professional right from the beginning. She was accommodating to us wanting to have a non-traditional NJ wedding in order to incorporate a number of Swedish aspects. Everything was amazing and there were things they thought of that I wouldn't have even imagined needing myself until it was offered. Everything went smoothly and it was easy to leave everything in their hands and trust it was going to happen. The food was amazing - some friends said it was the best cocktail hour they ever attended, even though we had scaled down the food offerings completely by NJ standards! We had dinner in the ballroom and dancing downstairs, and everything worked perfectly. I can't say enough amazing things about Bonnie and all of the staff at the Bernards Inn. I thank them all for making our wedding day truly beautiful and memorable!!

    Many of our guests commented this was the BEST wedding they had ever been to! The Inn is elegant, the food is to die for, the service is excellent, and the price is just unbelievably reasonable!!!

    We started with cocktail hour in the ballroom followed by dinner. There was so much amazing food for our cocktail hour we had to remind our guests that dinner was still to follow! The lobster corn fritters and jumbo shrimp were super tasty and many of our guests raved about the French station with it's warm brie, onion soup pastries, and mini croque monsieurs.

    We had a platted dinner with a pesto ravioli appetizer followed by a choice of sirloin or chicken. Dinner and wine orders were taken table side -- each table had it's own waiter plus a head waiter for each side of the room plus we got our own private butler for the entire event who make sure we didn't miss one thing we had ordered!!

    After dinner we decided to take everyone downstairs for dancing in the Silver Vault and Wine pantry. Which was the best decision we ever made. Since everyone had to stand up and go down stairs the dance party started immediately didn't stop until the event was over!

    When we got back up to the complimentary bridal suite our butler had saved us both a slice of wedding cake and two of every wonderful desert we had missed while we had been dancing! The staff had also already washed and repackaged our toasting flutes, cake knife, and serving utensils and put them safely in our room.

    All night the service was absolutely amazing. From Bonnie and Jessica our on-site wedding coordinators, Jake our banquet manager, and Barbra our personal butler every single person was friendly, polite, and responsive.

    Bonnie and the staff at the Bernard's Inn were superbly attentive to make my wedding a smooth, beautiful, and wonderfully memorable event! My fiance and I held a small wedding celebration (40 people) to unite our East and West Coast families last weekend, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Working with the staff at BI was a very easy and enjoyable experience from start to finish. We were amazed with the attention to detail and perfection in the food at our tasting, and that level of service carried through our entire stay at the inn for our wedding weekend. My fiance and I stayed at the inn with my family from California. Our rooms were gorgeous and we have all of our needs attended to. Bonnie coordinated food so that our guests arriving later in the evenings would have a warm meal awaiting them. Our wedding day was so fabulous, I cannot even think of a single hiccup in the whole event! We had a staff member assigned to make sure that my fiance and I had food and drink at all times - and even accommodated my gluten-free diet to a T! The food was phenomenal - from the cocktail hour through the cake (which was totally gluten-free, and no one had a clue!) and desserts. We used the Bernard's Inn house florist (Jardiniere Fine Flowers), and they were absolutely lovely. Jardiniere worked with the Bernard's Inn to decorate our cake with fresh flowers, and it looked even more beautiful than the picture I had sent them! At the end of the night, Bonnie's staff made sure that all of our belongings were safely returned to our room...and left us a gorgeous display of desserts, champagne, and wedding cake. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day! I highly recommend Bernard's Inn for anyone looking for an exquisite wedding - from the planning to the final toast!

    This was just a fantastic venue for our Wedding. Bonnie of The Bernards Inn took care of EVERYTHING. The coordination, scheduling, tasting, and service was what you expect from such an elegant location. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was truly outstanding. We had the reception in the Wine Pantry and Silver Vault which was so intimate and beautiful. I cannot tell you how many guests commented on how this was the best wedding they have ever been at. The presentation from the cocktail hour to the meals was flawless. We had 3 choices for a main course and all were made to perfection and plated beautifully. The whole staff could not have been nicer and hugs and kisses to Bonnie who made this day a beautiful memory.

    1 word - AMAZING
    Staff was top notch. Service was wonderful. The bridal assistant I was 'assigned' for the day was great, Rosanna was at my side and ready with whatever I needed (sometimes even before I knew I needed it!). The general staff that served, bar tended, and handed check in was fantastic! All of our guests commented on the service and attention to detail throughout the wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and farewell brunch the next morning!).

    And the food.... DELICIOUS. Their food definitely lives up to the reputation. Served hot, fresh and seasonal, beautiful to the eye! Shout out to Liz (pastry chef) who made our BEYOND fresh and delicious almond cheesecake, 4 tier, beautifully unique black and white split fondant wedding cake. And the talk of the reception was the grooms cake, stealing the night - which was a dead wringer for Hooters Chicken wings ... no one could believe it was a cake!!

    We worked closely with Bonnie for a few months prior to ensure every detail was perfect. She and her team were flexible and had some great ideas and suggestions to take what we wanted to the next level with their experience and execution. (like the cup cake decorating bar for the kids during dessert!)

    Drinks flowed all night - table service was great. We even had a sick guest and the staff brought him dinner in his room!

    THANK YOU to the whole staff - top notch all the way from food to service to proactive communication and responsiveness prior to the day of the event. Rooms were clean, charming, and ready earlier than anticipated for guest check in as well.

    If i had to do it again I would do it exactly the same way .... at the Bernards Inn

    Bonnie is amazing! The staff is second to none. The venue was beautiful and food out of this world. We will be back and will make this an anniversary tradition. With the wedding ceremony venue, cocktail hour room, dinner space, breakfast buffet next day, rooms, etc... This was a bargain and came out beyond our wildest dreams.

    Our wedding at the Bernard's Inn was completely perfect! Bonnie was our catering manager and she was responsive and professional throughout the planning process. The food was amazing at our wedding and our guests all raved about the food from cocktail hours all the way through the cake. The inn has a wonderful decor and charm which enhanced the romantic feel I wanted for our ceremony and reception.

    I can't give this place enough praise! Bonnie made the process of planning the reception and ceremony at the Bernards Inn very easy. Every detail was accounted for to make sure the day of our wedding went smoothly! And it did! Bonnie and her staff were extremely helpful and professional. They made sure we were taken care of from the beginning of the evening to the end. Food from the cocktail hour was brought to us in our suite. We had drinks waiting for us in our suite. They did an amazing job to make sure we all had a great time.

    We didn't get to spend much time at the cocktail hour, but from what our guests tell us, they were very impressed. Food was in abundance and their glasses were never empty! The food was of high quality. They add class and a little twist which we loved.

    The venue itself has a lot of charm. We fell in love with the area downstairs where we held the cocktail hour and the breakfast. They did a great job decorating the main room for both the ceremony and the reception.

    The easiest and quickest decision I made for my wedding was in choosing The Bernards Inn for the ceremony and reception venue (and food). The planning process with the inn and the wedding day exceeded my expectations for my dream wedding. Yes, it was more than I wanted to spend but looking back, I can confidently say that it was so worth it. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff, particularly of Jessica Quesada the Catering Sales Manager we worked with, was exceptional. Jessica answered all of my Type A questions promptly with grace and kindness. Every little detail I was worried about was addressed and executed perfectly. Our guests raved about the delicious food and attentive wait staff. The romantic inn perfectly suited the vintage and classy vibe I was going for (which proved to be a bit difficult to find in NJ). My only regret is that I did not eat more of the delicious food at the wedding and at the wonderful brunch at the inn the day after! Highly recommend the Bernards Inn!!

    Our wedding was at The Bernards Inn on 10/5/14 . I could not be more pleased with how perfectly everything went and the superior service provided. The food was incredibly delicious (our guests are still complimenting it!) and our cake/desserts were perfect! Bonnie was our contact and was incredible to work with. She had amazing ideas and was a great help in making sure our wedding turned out perfectly (and it did!) The other staff were wonderfully attentive. The Bernards Inn goes over the top to ensure a great experience for the bride, groom, and all the guests. I more than highly recommend this venue! You more than get what you pay for at The Bernards Inn. Amazing, simply amazing!

    We just had our wedding at The Bernards Inn on 9/26/14 . Everything was absolutely perfect thanks to the amazing staff at the inn. Bonnie was an amazing planner and coordinator and helped us to prepare , and Joseph. Helped to make sure our wedding played out perfectly that night. The chef and pastry chef helped to make our night more special by preparing special ethnic foods and desserts that we requested. Everything they made was just amazing ! The service was perfect and staff was very attentive. We received compliment after compliment about our wedding .... Thanks to everyone who helped make this a memorable day!

    I highly recommend working with Jessica Quesada. We had our ceremony at the Bernards Inn and got ready there as well. She worked continuously that day to make sure that every aspect of our wedding went smoothly She was also a pleasure to work with.

    I also absolutely loved my Bridal attendant Rosanna. She made sure that every need was met and she managed to make sure that I had a chance to eat!!!

    The Bernards inn was absolutely amazing. The venue and it's staff provide the most elegant wedding. This is not your typical catering hall. It's food is exceptional and has a modern but traditional taste. They were very accommodating to all our needs and wants and went above and beyond. Bonnie was great to work with and made sure every detail was taken care of for the evening. Our Maitre'D was also great. He kept us informed throughout the evening and made sure all our needs and the needs of our guests were taken care of.

    I cannot recommend the Bernards Inn enough. If you're a bride wondering where to host your event, and you're having a more intimate ceremony/reception like we did, then look no further! The Bernards Inn is PERFECTION.

    We began planning this wedding shortly after my (now) husband proposed to me on January 1 of this year. Since I've been waiting my entire life to find "The One" and tie the knot, I didn't want to drag out our engagement. I decided June 28th would be the day to make it official. After considering alternate venues, debating elopement, and dealing with all the typical drama wedding preparation entails, we visited the Bernards Inn and fell in love.

    I knew it was going to be "the" venue after reviewing the images of The Silver Vault online. I had a vision of how I wanted my wedding to be (I'd bought all sorts of vintage antiques and I created my own table decorations -- twine-wrapped bottles, etc. -- for that sort of shabby-chic look. Our initial wedding planner, Carrie, was kind and courteous and very friendly. She assisted us through all the initial hurdles of wedding preparation. My parents, fiance, and I were very impressed...

    Amazing venue ! Phenomenal cuisine with a beautiful presentation! From day 1 in planning our wedding, Bonnie Schleimer was so great to work with (along with Stacey Sainato from Peony Events), and she made our planning process seemless!     We just celebrated our daughter's wedding at The Bernard's Inn last weekend. From planning to execution, the entire experience was perfect. Diane Carr, the General Manager, patiently walked us through the process and left no stone unturned and even threw in some elegant surprises for the bride and groom. The food including the cake were exceptional. Every single staff person was smiling, professional, polite, kind and unobtrusive, attending to our every need. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the roaring fire in the lobby just added to the ambiance. Many of our guests stayed at the Inn for the weekend and enjoyed the beautifully appointed rooms and luxury linens. What a wonderful memory!

    I loved every second of our July wedding at the Bernards Inn. Bonnie and her team did a wonderful job! All of my questions were answered in a timely manner and day-of coordination was seamless. My guests are still raving about the food two months later!

    We hosted the rehearsal dinner for my son and his bride at
    the Bernard's Inn Silver Vault & Wine Cellar - which is a beautiful, elegant setting and we couldn't have been more pleased. The staff was professional and did everything to make our special evening run smoothly. I can't say enough about the food - it was delicious and wonderfully presented and the chef even accomodated us by adding several seasonal selections for our menu choice. We now have a truly wonderful family memory!!

    The Bernards Inn is a wonderful venue. Apart from the facility itself being so beautiful and elegant, the service was impeccable. Food was excellent in both taste and presentation. Our wedding was a very small intimate gathering of 35 and we used two of the smaller downstairs rooms (Silver Vault/Wine Pantry) for our ceremony and reception. Our guests loved the cozy atmosphere. Every last detail was perfection and we felt we were given just as much attention as a larger wedding would have. Diane Carr and staff are fantastic and will not disappoint.

    The Bernards Inn made our
    Wedding the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. Our guests raved for days about the food, decor and cake. Bonnie was absolutely amazing. She helped us plan until every little detail was perfect. Booking this venue really made this the most perfect day. The cocktail hour lasts 90 minutes and the signature cocktail was to die for. We had a sundae bar which was a huge hit and the cake was exactly like the picture we requested and tasted phenomenal. I cannot rave about the Bernards Inn enough. They truly made the day spectacular!

    Diane and her staff were INCREDIBLE. From Day 1 Diane went above and beyond. WARM, FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL service. Always took the time to go over every detail with us. She took the time to get to know us. We have zero regrets having our wedding here. Diane and her staff made our wedding that much more special. Attention to detail was impressive.     Wow is all I can say. Every girl dreams about their wedding day, and mine was even more amazing than I thought it would be because of The Bernards Inn. From day one, I was so impressed and knew it was the perfect place for a dream wedding. The Bernards Inn is beautiful and unique, and the staff is simply amazing. Bonnie was constantly available, always answering questions immediately and catered to any request we made, big or small. When our rehearsal venue closed unexpectedly a few months before our wedding, Bonnie and The Bernards Inn were there. They planned the most beautiful weekend, and even made the rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour/reception ambiance different (a main concern for us). On top of all this, the food was amazing. A month after our wedding, we are still getting compliments daily about The Bernards Inn. It is by far the best place to have your wedding!

    The Bernards Inn is an exceptional venue! Our wedding ceremony and reception was perfect from start to finish.     We had our candle lit ceremony and cocktail reception in the Wine Pantry / Silver Vault. It is an elegant and charming venue. Diane Carr and The Bernards Inn staff were fantastic and they exceeded our expectations! The food was exceptional... including the presentation. Our wedding also happened to be on the day of an unusual October snow storm. Power outages all over the community for several days and not only did the Inn remain lit, the staff was incredibly relaxed and very comforting to us and our guests. It was truly a memorable time and a wedding any bride would wish for.

    We have nothing but great things to say about the Bernards Inn. Our coordinator was Lauren and she was wonderful from the start. Immediately upon touring the Inn, we loved the charm and the quaintness of it. We had been to see many different venues and we saw few things that we liked. Many offered a great ocean view, but terrible food. The Inn was a little farther then we planned on traveling and a lot more expensive, but Lauren was able to work with us on the budget and we immediately agreed to book our wedding reception. Previously, I might have rated it less on value, but after seeing how much we got, it is definitely worth the price.

    Lauren went out of her way to assist us in the planning of the wedding throughout and she would respond to any of our questions within minutes. We decided to have the ceremony at an outdoor venue at a beautiful arboretum not far from the Inn. On the day of the wedding, there was a chance of showers in the evening, but in the morning the sun was shining and we declined a ceremony at the Inn. 4:00 came and the guests were arriving at the arboretum. The groom was there as well when suddenly the skies opened up and the rain began – at a rate of 2 inches per hour! Lauren and the other wonderful people at the Inn reached out to us and told us to come back to the Inn and they would arrange some type of a ceremony. When we arrived, Lauren and the others were outside ready with umbrellas to keep every person dry. At the last minute, they put together a beautiful complete ceremony that we are so grateful for.

    Every one of our guests was amazed at the way the staff made sure each and every person was taken care of. The guests loved cocktail hour and emphasized the fact that the food just kept coming. Our friends and family are still raving about the great food served throughout the reception. Many said this was the best food they ever had at a wedding. Unlike many of the other venues, we truly felt special at the Bernards Inn during every step of the way. They even left us a slice of wedding cake and other desserts in our room for us that night. Despite all of the chaos, the staff at the Inn maintained a level of professionalism that many people would not.

    We would HIGHLY recommend the Bernards Inn to any couple looking for a location for their wedding.

    When my fiance and I first began the process of looking for a place to have a wedding reception for approximately 60 guests, we quickly became frustrated. Many of the places we looked at would not even speak to us since we were having such a small reception. At one point, we thought we would not be able to have a reception at all. But, that all changed when we found the Bernards Inn. As soon as we walked in, the staff was very interested in making this event work for us and them. They spent time getting to know us and paid attention to what we were looking for. Our coordinator Lauren, really listened to what we wanted and gave us so many great ideas. The end result was an intimate wedding reception that was both classy and comfortable. So many of our guests gave us compliments regarding the service and event space. I would recommend taking a look at this "hidden gem" before going to a big, run of the mill banquet hall. We had a wonderful time and we look forward to returning for future events and anniversaries. What a PERFECT day!

    What can I possibly say about a place that was utterly perfect? Literally EVERY detail from the planning with Lauren Montemarano, to the food, to the venue...ALL was perfect. My guests are STILL talking about the amazing food and service and just the sheer beauty of the place. The decor is quietly elegant. No detail is overlooked but nothing hits you over the head.

    They work with you on every detail and they worked with us to design a wedding reception that fit our budget. Not one thing went wrong the day of our wedding. The food is outrageously good, there are a ton of selections and you can customize every detail. My wedding cake was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and we gave the pastry chef a picture printed from the internet. I also decided to surprise my groom with a grooms cake and that FAR exceeded my expectations. It was the highlight of our night. I would recommend to anyone to have their wedding at The Bernards Inn. You will receive top notch service, excellent food and be transported back to a time of refined elegance that cannot be found at any other venue.

    Very professional, upscale service. All of the management, especially General Manager, Diane Carr, at Bernards Inn were on top of things. If I had a request, they would make sure it happened. Executive Chef Corey Heyer went out of his way to make sure there would be food I'd eat (since I'm on a very restrictive diet--gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, sugar-free...and what he created for me was delicious beyond words). All of the guests were asked table-side if they have special dietary needs, and all were accommodated. My guests cannot stop raving about the service and atmosphere of our venue. Many have said it was the best wedding they'd ever attended. The Bernards Inn is worth the price!

    My only complaint is with the overnight accommodations...the bed in the bridal suite was rock hard and located right above the terrace bar, where rowdy revelers were partying loudly. Combine that with a baby crying in the room next door at 2:00 AM....and well, this bride didn't get much sleep the night before her big day...but, everything else was perfect.

    We had our wedding at The Bernards Inn on 5/6/11. The Bernards Inn truly made our day more special. It does not have that run of the mill feel like so many of the other places we visited. The service and food are incredible. My guests said they never had a filet mignon cooked so perfect at a wedding. The intimate old world charm ambiance is just so unique and romantic. The Inn has a such a warm feeling too so
    what a great way to start a life together. Diane Carr is fabulous - went above and beyond... didn't miss a beat or any special request I had and there were quite a few. Overall a wonderful experience!

    The Inn was wonderful! It was a elegant and sophisticated with an understated simplicity, which fit us perfectly. The setting was wonderful; it was intimate and personal and had character.     You won't find a more romantic and pefect venue for an intimate, classic, and memorable wedding. The catering and event staff was kind, friendly, professional, and attentive. The food was divine (cake was heavenly!). The Bernards Inn is a must for the "perfectionist" bride!

    The Bernards Inn was extremely helpful in making our wedding a great day. After our hall cancelled on us we were under a time constraint to replan. The Bernards Inn as very accomodating and made a stressful situation easier to handle. The staff was a pleasure to work with and walked us through the entire process.

    We held our wedding reception at the Bernards Inn. We had a difficult time finding a reception venue that was willing to reserve a summer Saturday for such a small reception (~35 people). Bernards Inn was willing to work with us and we had the date reserved less than 24 hours from our initial consultation. We held the cocktail hour in the Silver Vault and moved into the Wine Pantry for the dinner. Both rooms are already elegantly decorated, meaning less work and money for us. There are bathrooms nearby and an alternate entrance from the street if you have older guests who can't take the stairs. If you have a small reception and are looking for a space that isn't the usual white ballroom, consider holding the reception at the Bernards Inn. Their Fenwick Ballroom holds more people, but I didn't look into it and am not familiar with its decor. Lauren Montemarano helped plan everything and was very professional and friendly. In fact, Lauren's presence and professionalism impressed me immediately and distinguished the Bernarnds Inn from other competing venues in the area. If somebody is planning a wedding reception, they better be confident, organized, and on time for meetings. Oscar was very helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly the day of. He kept us informed of when to expect speeches and when there were any breaks between courses where we could get up and mingle without missing our dinner. All of our guests were impressed with the quality of the wait staff, food, and drinks. The Bernards Inn is more expensive than other venues, but you get what you pay for. Guests got a glass of champagne, not a small sip just enough for a toast. The drinks were well-prepared, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We never felt rushed through our meal. The Bernards Inn also prepared our wedding cake, and it was wonderful (vanilla cake with hazelnut layers). I would highly recommend this venue.

    From the beginning of the planning to the day of the wedding, the service provided by the Bernards Inn was impeccable. No detail was left undone. The planning coordinator was of great help to my daughter the day of the wedding in calming her nerves. She was a huge part of that day. From a monetary standpoint, I am thrilled I will not be planning another wedding, but if I did, I would RUN - not walk - to the Bernards Inn. It was THAT great!!

    Keeping our wedding small and intimate was key for me and my fiance. We had the wedding of our dreams, it was completely magical. The food and service were out of this world.     After looking at four other potential venues for our wedding, we chose the Bernards Inn. We wanted our wedding to be small (about 40 guests - some from out of the area) and first-class - and after having our event there last weekend, we are completely pleased and satisfied with the experience. Diane, Lauren and Bonnie were all professional and helpful throughout the process - the food was excellent - the service is terrific without being overbearing - and all of our guests loved it. The staff made it a relatively stress-free process as they managed every detail. We actually had both our ceremony and celebratory dinner at the facility. It worked out very well for us - and we'd certainly recommend it to anyone else.

    Diane Carr and her team at the Bernards Inn provided us exceptional service and the wedding of our dreams! i could not have asked for anything better! Everything went better than we could have hoped for and it was just magical from start to finish! I would recommend Diane, her team and the Bernards Inn to anyone for any event. As an event planner myself, i couldn't have been happier.. every detail was taken care of for us and we enjoyed every second of our wedding! Thanks for a wonderful day!! :)

    I had an afternoon wedding at the Benards Inn in August of 2010 - best wedding decision I made! Wow, where to start. I worked with Lauren Montemarano on the planning and execution of the day, she did an amazing job. Lauren was extremely professional and super flexible. She made everything work just the way I wanted it too. Lauren went out of her way and responded almost immediately to all of my questions. She guided me through the whole process and even when I had no idea how to make a decision, she led me in the right direction!

    Everything was perfect, from the food, to the lay out, to the service. Here are a few things that the guests have told me since the wedding.
    - "This was the best food I've ever had at a wedding."
    - "The service was the best I have ever seen, we never had to ask for anything, it was always brought exactly when we wanted it."

    I have to agree with my guests - it was the best food I'd ever had, and I never felt like I had to wait for anything! All in all, the professionalism of Lauren and the rest of the staff was flawless. I couldn't be happier. It was worth every penny!

    The Bernards Inn was wonderful! They responded so quickly and were really on top of things. The food the night of the wedding was AMAZING!! No problems whatsoever, we were thrilled.

    The only drawback is that because they rent out their spaces to anyone (they don't just do weddings, anothewords) we would have had to pay to rent the room for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Just something to keep in mind. Otherwise it was fabulous!! They were so great to us and we had an excellent time.

    We just had our wedding at the Bernards Inn. What an amazing experience, It was romantic, elegant, sophisticated, etc. Our guests could get over the food, the ambience, and mostly the service. Bonnie, the Inn's wedding manager, was outstanding. She made the planning process effortless. She ensured that every request was carried out. Since we knew that some guests would arrive early, we had the bar open with a piano player. It was so elegant to walk into the Inn to music. Our cocktail hour was extended by 1/2 hour so that the bride, groom and bridal party would be able to attend. The wine and pantry cellar was so beautiful. The signature drink, fig old fashioned, was delicious. The hors d'oevres delicious and they kept coming and coming. The Fenwick Ballroom was exquisit, with plenty of candle light. The Chef even made the wedding cake exactly like the picture we gave him. Wonderful venue if you want a romantic and sophicated wedding.
