Wonderful experience

Lisa of Lovesome photography is a wonderful photographer to work with! We first worked with Lisa for our engagement photos and they were so perfectly framed, she posed us well, and the lighting and colors were perfect -- we fell in love with the photos. All of them. We were so excited to have her shoot for our wedding. Lisa was a delight on our wedding night also. She was fun to work with in our first look and had everything planned out, she was on top of getting groups together for our group shots even though we gave her a very long shot list, she was on top of timing and giving us all the necessary shots that we wanted including details, and worked with difficult weather and timing to make sure we had everything we wanted. When we got the final photos, we were again SO impressed with the results. Just stunning photos and editing... Ah so great. I would definitely suggest working with Lisa around sunset in the mountains -- she is brilliant with lighting and getting the perfect shots.

Small Ceremony Photography

Lisa has been phenomenal to work with and delivered the most stunning photos. Our original wedding plans were disrupted due to COVID but Lisa was flexible with a new date and plan. She truly exceeded our expectations and delivered beautiful and memorable photos. Lisa captured beautiful moments and ensured that all of our desired photos were taken. amazing and helpful

Pro in the cold

Amazing photographer! Lisa shot out wedding on the coldest day in December - outside! She was professional and happy, had great ideas and I never heard her say anything about freezing fingers even though I know she must have lost feeling. Loved the pictures, would hire her again in a heart beat.

Everything Lisa did from pre-production to post was above and beyond

Lisa was the photographer for our wedding day. And it was the best choice we made! It goes without saying that the photos she captured of us were breathtaking, not to mention delivered with incredible speed!

I think what really did it for us was how professional she was from the very beginning. Her communication style is impeccable. Her energy during the day was calm, friendly and inviting. The way she handled bringing large groups of people while still keeping us on schedule was awesome to watch and a relief to us. We will recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a wedding photographer! Invisibile Magic

Lisa has an invisible magic that captured the essence and beauty of our special day! I swear I had no idea she was taking so many amazing photographs. Her professionalism was outstanding from start to finish, she actually solved a major hurdle for us when our formal picture location was over run by 2 protests! In minutes she found us a new location that ended up being even better. She guides her brides and grooms from start to finish helping them bring their vision to light as well as making sure all of the pictures (the ones you didn't even know you wanted) are captured! We love all of our photos, 5 stars!!

Everything we could have wanted... and more!

Lisa was a true blessing for us! We had our photographer back out around a month before our wedding and we couldn't be more thankful that Lisa was somehow still available! She was quick to respond and ready to help us. We had phone meetings as well as being able to meet her in person before our wedding to understand our view for the day. She was also able to help us find our wedding ceremony location because she knows the Silverthorne/Dillon area very well! Lisa allowed for a stress free day for us because she knew where to be and when to capture all our moments we wanted! She did this without us having to tell her what we wanted, she just knew because she is so experienced. She provided us with a few sneak peaks within a few days of our wedding and a complete album in less than a month. We absolutely love our photos, they are breathtaking! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stress free, easy going wedding photographer!!!

I love some Lovesome

Lisa has done three sessions for me, and there is a reason I have followed her from Virginia to Colorado. She is not only an extremely talent photographer, but she makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Which, if you are typically shy and uncomfortable in front of a camera like myself, is incredible.
From beginning to end, she is always a pleasure to work with. Quick with communication, beautiful work, excellent turnaround, and Lisa herself is just a genuine, down to earth and amazing person.

Intimate Beaver Creek Wedding

Lisa was great. Very responsive from the beginning, fit our requirements perfectly without exception. We had a small wedding with 30 guests, she took formal and candid pictures of all guests, caught a lot of cute moments with the little children and great traditional wedding portraits as well. Love us some Lovesome!

We had the pleasure of working with Lisa for our small Frisco wedding in June. From the beautiful photos on the Lovesome website and the ease of our first phone conversation, we knew right away that Lisa was the right photographer for us. However, Lisa went far above and beyond what we expected from our photographer. For example, we wanted a private ceremony in a secluded spot in beautiful Frisco, but had not selected a location. We described to Lisa what we hoped for and she went on her own in search of places for us. The week before the wedding, she drove us to several beautiful spots and described the options for photos we’d have at each one. The spot we chose was perfect- a dried riverbed with a creek running through, a small pine grove, and stunning mountain views. Lisa’s photos of our wedding are beautiful. Lisa was able to capture candid moments showing the joy of the occasion, as well as the beautiful surroundings. We appreciated Lisa’s ability to provide guidance for more structured photos but also to allow us to enjoy the moments without worrying about the camera. During our “First Look” and the ceremony, we didn’t even notice she was there. After the ceremony, she efficiently organized family shots while maintaining the fun and relaxed atmosphere a wedding should have. It was the ideal balance. Moreover, we felt incredibly comfortable with Lisa and she stepped in to take care of many small details. From leading us out individually to our “First Look” location to holding our chapstick, Lisa helped us with anything we needed and felt like a good friend by the end. We could not recommend Lisa highly enough!

Amazing work!

Lisa was very professional and so easy to work with! Breckenridge was a destination wedding for us so we knew nothing about any local vendors. I read reviews and looked at photographers work online and Lisa was nothing short of all the amazing things clients said about her! Her photography is gorgeous but working with her is just as special

When we were shopping for a photographer, Lisa really stood out to us not just for her beautiful photography but also for the grace with which she handled our question of how she would interact with family members who want to be taking and directing photos of their own. We did an adventure session and an engagement session with Lisa prior to our wedding and not only are the photos amazing but it also was a great opportunity to get to know her better. The day of our wedding everything went off well and Lisa helped choreograph a so very special first look and also gave us some of our most precious moments by photographing us from afar so that we could enjoy the moment just the two of us. All of our photos turned out great but the best part of working with Lisa was that we knew not only would our photos be great but also working with her would be a phenomenal experience.

So talented!

Lisa was just amazing. She was so easy to communicate with and she was super flexible with us regarding timing. Right after we got married, Lisa was evacuated due to a wildfire and she STILL got us our photographs within 2 weeks!! We were so impressed with not just her photographs but with her easygoing, lovely personality. My wedding had to be plan in 15 days for reasons out of our hands. The planning event was crazy and I was worried all would be terrible!

Not only Lisa responded so fast it was extremely easy to book her, she was a breeze of calm and professionalism in a sea of insanity.

I have no words to explain how perfect her work is, our venue was small and the place were the reception took place was not particularly pretty yet she found the best spots making the place look stunning!!!!! I look at the pics and have a hard time remembering what I didn't like of the place. every picture she took is a treasure to me, she captured me and my husband our love and joy perfectly, our guests were also inlove of the pictures she got of them!!!!

She talks to you, gets to know you and captures what matters to you and produces nothing but the best part of real moments. I'm forever thankfull for her work, after all, There is only 2 things that will stay for the rest of your life after your wedding: your husband and your pictures.

Lisa and Heather were amazing, and we are grateful to have had them to document the day!
Our wedding was on July 3rd, and it was over 90 degree that day, one of the hottest days of the year. To make it even tougher, our wedding was entirely outdoor. Lisa and Heather each carried two big cameras, and sprayed themselves with loads of bug spray to solider through the day. Despite the environmental challenges, they carried us and kept us happy and excited.
For the couple portraits, they took us into forests, near ponds, through gardens, and a steaming green houses. They had a great eye for both couple pictures and capturing subtle details throughout the day.
They also did a great job not being noticed which allowed them to capture great candid shots and precious moments.
Heather was so creative and asked me to spin in my big dress with the lawn as the background. I had so much fun, and those pictures will forever be great memories.
We didn't have anyone to direct the family pictures, so Lisa stepped in to orchestrate the session - which was above and beyond what she had to do and we really appreciated it.
When the pictures were delivered, we immediately fell in love.

Lisa was our photographer last weekend, and she was amazing!! First, we had an engagement photo shoot in the fall which really helped us all get to know each other since mushy photo taking can be kind of awkward and intimate. She was soooo amazing at making us feel comfortable and everyone still talks about how beautiful our photos are since I put them everywhere on facebook (gross, I know). Our wedding was magical, and she took amazing shots and dealt with my semi-bratty attitude with ease when I wanted to just dance and not take pictures. She's one of a kind with talent and personality, and I couldn't be happier to have her take our photos on the most important day of our lives that we hope to share, via pictures, with our future children thanks to her.

I used Lisa for our engagement photos and wedding photos and was extremely pleased. She is very easy to work with, responsive and incredibly creative.

Rather than compiling a shot list (which was overwhelming to me) we met and talked about what was most important to me about my wedding day and what I would be disappointed to not have a memory of. From this conversation, she made notes and then planned her photos based on this. I certainly don’t have every posed photo combination you might find listed in a magazine or on pinterest, but I do have every photo that mattered to me. She also helped me stay focused on what was important to me rather than stressing about what everyone else wanted :) .

Working with Lisa was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend her!!

We loved having Lisa as our wedding photographer. First, she has such a great and upbeat personality, is very personable but a true professional, and is extremely easy to work with. Second, communicating with her was a breeze and she is very open to suggestions (but she has a perfect sense of what will work best from a technical and artistic perspective so she'll let you know if a different approach is better). This was huge for us, because some photographers have huge egos and they're offended if you make a small suggestion. But not Lisa. She wants you to be completely happy with her work. Third, she is so passionate about her work. We looked at a lot of photographers' portfolios. And they were all pretty good. Lisa's was no exception. So what set her apart from the rest, besides her wonderful style of photography (as evidenced by her elaborate photography portfolio), was her passion. It shines through when you discuss anything photography-related to her. Finally, she also conducted herself very professionally and, in the end, she went above and beyond our expectations. I highly recommend her.

I got married in Leesburg, VA on 10/29/2016, and Lisa at Lovesome Photography helped to make our wedding day absolutely phenomenal. From our first meeting back in December, Lisa was warm, communicative, professional, and thoroughly delightful to spend time and plan our wedding with. I researched a number of photographers before finding Lisa's gorgeous and "real-looking" images that were the first that really spoke to me, so I cannot wait to get our final images back because I know they will be incredible. We were married at Lansdowne Resort, and Lisa actually came to the hotel the day before our wedding to scout out good photo locations for us. She and her second shooter Heather arrived early on our wedding day and made everyone immediately feel at ease with their friendly demeanor and efficient professionalism. They kept us smiling, on schedule, and were great about checking in with me throughout the evening to make sure my groom and I were happy and getting all of the specific group photos we requested. Lisa's photo package included engagement photos, which I did not particularly want, so she kindly exchanged that service for three full photo albums that she will put together for us to give to our parents as gifts for the holidays. We hired Lisa as a photographer but left our wedding weekend 100% feeling like we'd made a wonderful and trusted friend, and I cannot thank or recommend her enough for all that she's done for us. Lisa is amazing! She was super accommodating and brought her fun energy to the photo sessions that made everyone feel comfortable and beautiful. In our prep session leading up to the wedding she brought a lot of good ideas and was engaged and gave great feedback to all of our ideas. She put me at ease on the wedding day and we surprisingly had a blast taking pictures! During the ceremony we hardly noticed she was there and she was very professional! I cannot recommend Lisa and Lovesome Photography highly enough. From our first meeting to finalizing our photos, Lisa was professional, responsive, and genuinely interested in capturing our day in beautiful, high-quality photographs. The whole process was wonderfully simple, and we were able to establish exactly what we wanted thanks to Lisa's expertise. She stayed on top of all of the details, and was very quick to respond to any e-mails. On the day of, the whole process of getting the shots we wanted was actually fun for both my husband and I - and neither of us like to be photographed! We met Lisa at a wedding Expo. Her work had caught our eye as being of the style and quality we were looking for, but what made her the first vendor we signed with (after settling on a venue) was her demeanor. She put both myself and my bride at ease. She understood our concern that the photography should not be obtrusive in the ceremony and reception, and also our interest in using the opportunity to capture candid photos of our aging relatives. She did a great job addressing both.

She also offered advice in a constructive way, without being pushy about it. From helping set the positions of some arrangements, to detailing some of the flow of the reception, to working out how the sparkler-lit exit should go, she offered her experience (which we needed) in a very transparent way and left decisions up to us.

Furthermore, she didn't push vendors on us, but when asked for suggestions, provided outstanding recommendations. Both times we asked for suggestions (after having searched on our own for a while), we ended up vetting the vendor she suggested and then hiring them.

Lisa and the other vendors she recommended were amongst the best vendors we had the opportunity to work with on our the wedding, and the photos she took were outstanding - even though our engagement shoot ended up taking place in a blackout during a thunderstorm! (Like every other curve ball we threw at her, she knocked that one out of the park too!)

Lisa is fantastic in every way. She has great energy, an artistic eye, and works tirelessly to deliver on time. She turned around our engagement photos within 2 weeks and over 1,000 wedding photos within 3 weeks! She's always a pleasure to converse with, be it in person, on the phone, or via email, and she's super quick to respond to any inquiries you may have. We haven't finalized our album yet, but that's mostly because we're having the hardest time narrowing down our favorites since we love practically every single photo. After going through all of the photos multiple times the day she posted them, I sent her an email: "I just felt the need to email you again. These are incredible. Simply amazing. We had a great experience with Lovesome Photography for our August 2015 wedding. Lisa was extremely helpful and organized. She responded quickly to emails (important especially since we were planning from 500 miles away) and welcomed us to her gorgeous studio on a Sunday morning to accommodate our limited travel schedule and go over plans for the big day.

Lisa was a dream to work with! When we first met I was drawn to her calm, collected demeanor as well as her photography style. Her calmness was definitely welcomed the day of as the weather wasn't looking to bright leading up to the ceremony and post-ceremony pictures. Lisa even had a backup plan in case it rained, but luckily we didn't need it. She put us at ease and made us comfortable during the pictures. She kept to the schedule we had previously discussed and made sure to get all the important pictures I had listed out for her. She definitely is a professional and knows how to wrangle large families together.

We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Lisa and Ian.

We met with them mostly because their clients personalities and joy really shone through in their sample photos online.

We wanted professional, beautiful pictures that showed who we really were and celebrated the fun and goofiness that what makes us unique as a couple.

Lisa and Ian truly made that dream a reality. We have great photos of us hiding behind bushes like we’re on a jungle safari and photos of us romantically looking into each others eyes. They really captured the essence of who we are.

From the start working with them was fun and relaxed. They really took the time to get to know what we were looking for.

The engagement session was amazing, they are dog lovers and encouraged us to take some of our engagement photos with Riley. He has since passed away and we could not be more thankful that they encouraged us to do that those photos are some of our most prized possessions.

On the wedding day itself they were relaxed and professional, our formal portraits were done efficiently, and through the rest of the day they were so unobtrusive you barely realized they were there. We were free to truly enjoy the day.

One thing Lisa and Ian pride themselves on is being able to capture moments you might not realize are happening. You can’t be everywhere on your wedding day and there are some moments you are bound to miss.

This was totally true for us as well. I remember looking at the photos for the first time and seeing my husband doing a toast with my brother and some of my relatives that I didn’t even know had happened.

They also managed to capture some amazingly small slivers of time. One of the straps on my dress broke during the wedding. They managed to capture an amazing shot of my back as the strap as it flew up into the air.

I highly recommend SoftBox media to everyone and to my friends. You’ll be happy you worked with them.

Lisa and Ian were FABULOUS!!! From the first meeting to the wedding day, they were personable and wonderful every step of the process! They were open to trying something new when I expressed how I wanted to do our engagement session on a winter evening with Christmas lights, since it is special to me and my husband. The pictures turned out FANTASTIC and couldn't wait to work with Lisa and Ian for our July wedding also!

The day of the wedding was just as fantastic! Lisa and Ian worked together to capture all of the special moments we wanted. We also had videographers provided by SoftBox Media and the videos are such a wonderful bonus to all the amazing pictures!

Words cannot describe how amazing our wedding photos turned out. From the first meeting with Lisa and Ian we knew we were in good hands. Lisa listened to our ideas and saw our vision instantly. Lisa and Ian are by far the most talented and fun photographers EVER! Every time we met with them we had so much fun! In fact, we are still working with them today. We had our engagement session with them in October 2012 and let them choose the venue and it was perfect. Actually, we left everything up to their judgment and we were never disappointed. They blew us away! They took a lot of time to get to know us as a couple, and as individuals. We met with them on several occasions at restaurants and their office. Even when we couldn't put into words what we liked they knew exactly what we wanted because they knew us so well. The engagement shoot was so much fun. We weren't worried at all if we were getting good shots because Lisa and Ian's work speaks for itself. We had our engagement pictures printed into a bound book that was incredible. We used this book as the signature book for our guests at our wedding. This book is sitting on our coffee table and every time someone visits they comment on how great the pictures look.

Lisa and Ian also photographed our wedding and they literally got every second on film. Everyone that sees our pictures remarks at how perfect and creative they are. The guests at the wedding spoke so highly of them because they were not only professional, but fun! We also used their photo corner at the wedding reception and all of our guests raved about it. It was so entertaining and I highly recommend it. SoftBox Media's packages even allowed us to get every picture taken in the photo corner printed in a bound book. They have a very fast turn around time on reviewing and providing us with the pictures - we even get access to every single shot.

Lisa and Ian were by far our favorite vendor for our wedding. We cannot speak highly enough of their skills and professionalism. We have recommended SoftBox Media to several of our friends and we will continue to do so. You would do your wedding a service by hiring them - they are hands down THE BEST!

We were a little late in getting our photography plans for our wedding booked and were so excited when Lisa and Ian had our day available. They were this photographer's first choice to shoot his wedding! Perfect images, elegent composition and stunning colors, Lisa made our pictures look alive! Professional through the end, and we put these two through the ringer.

Day of, Lisa even scrambled up the errosion control boulders with her brand new gear to get the most epic shot I've seen!

Not only are they both masters at their craft, they are very friendly. Never once did the atmosphere feel stale or cold. Long sessions can be tiring. Lisa and Ian kept us engaged in the mood and the 2+ hour formals shoot flew by. (I have a big demanding family) Very well organized.

These two have the complete package and I would recomend them time over. Hopfully one day they will do our family shots.

It's not only that their work is fantastic, but they make you feel completely at ease and the whole process becomes very simple. If forced to choose one word to describe Lisa & Ian and their work it would have to be flawless.
From the moment my husband and I met Lisa & Ian at the showcase, we both knew after seeing their work and meeting with them at their studio that they would be the perfect match for our wedding day. From the get go they wanted to know what we envisioned for our day & how they could fit in to that vision. They did just that! Starting with our engagement shoot. They listened to our ideas for photos as well as suggested lots of their own creative ideas. Our pictures captured images that we will cherish forever. Our wedding day came and they were there on time, ready to go, with cameras in hand! They both took their time to do the individual portraits of my bridal party and the groomsmen ahead of time before the ceremony, while both communicating to ensure my wish of not seeing my husband beforehand was met. Lisa and Ian made everything stress free and made it flow so easily! After the formal posed pictures, I hardly felt like I saw them during the reception. This was not because they weren’t there, but because they blended in. Not once did my husband and I feel like we had a photographer following us around all night. Lisa and Ian somehow found a way to just blend in to the crowd all while capturing every single smile, tear, and laugh! When we got our photos back I was excited as I opened the first category of pictures on the site. Instant tears! I laughed and cried through all the photos. I was left feeling like I didn’t have enough words to even begin thanking them enough for capturing our day SO beautifully. We are still left in awe as we continue to look at our pictures and reflect back on our special day.

Lisa and Ian are amazing people to work with. We had to postpone our wedding due to an accident in the family and they were incredibly flexible and supportive. They had wonderful ideas for shots and are both intuitive and creative. Before the wedding, Ian went with my husband to take pictures of him and his groomsmen while Lisa stayed with me. Prior to the wedding, my bridesmaids and I were running around and I was incredibly stressed out. Lisa was instrumental in calming me down and insuring me that everything was going to be fine. Lisa and Ian are absolutely fantastic!! They were always responsive and flexible, which is very helpful when you're planning a wedding from a few states away! We also couldn't have been more thrilled with their demeanor and presence throughout our wedding day. Our Wedding Mass ran long, so we only had 15 minutes for formal church pictures which would be tight no matter how small the wedding party and families are - but we had a ring bearer, a (feisty) flower girl, six bridesmaids, six groomsmen and large immediate families! They were structured and timely throughout the informal wedding party shots at the reception site, and were very creative, patient and fun during the shots of just me and my husband!

Working with Lisa & Ian was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day! They are true professionals with amazing talent, we connected with them right away and felt they truly captured the atmosphere of our big day! Almost a year later and our wedding pictures still get compliments & are still our favorite!! We love their work so much we just booked an anniversary shoot with them and CANT wait to work with them again!!

Lisa and Ian are awesome! We used them for our engagement pictures and wedding pictures and their work is beautiful. We can't wait to get our wedding pictures back! They are very accessible and responsive and took so much stress out of the whole wedding planning process. They are both very laid back and we had a great time with them. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for spectacular pictures and we will definitely be using them again!

Lisa and Ian did a wonderful job with our photos! It was so nice to have 2 photographers so that they could capture both my husband and I getting ready. The photos turned out beautifully and they edited any photo we asked for (black and white, editing out things, etc.). Our wedding album is gorgeous and was designed by them, but they also allow you to design the album if you prefer. The past year has been extremely busy for us and Lisa and Ian were very flexible in when we picked up ordered products from them. They even offered to drop them off at our house. Thank you Lisa and Ian for capturing our special day! Wedding pictures are all over our house!

Softbox Media is 100% fantastic. I highly recommend them! We found Softbox Media on this site, and were drawn to their artistic, natural style. We knew that we wanted two shooters, and that we wanted more candid shots than formal-- also, we were looking for an artistry that looked more special than the snapshots that our friends were taking. Softbox media definitely met all of our expectations-- they delivered on the quality of the photos, and also were a friendly, professional team.

They recommended engagement shots to get to know us better, and to get ideas for the wedding, which was a great suggestion. We loved that shoot (in Harper's Ferry, WVA-- so pretty), and also gained that level of comfort with Lisa and Ian, so on the day of the wedding they felt more like friends!

We couldn't have been happier with every aspect of our interaction with Lisa and Ian-- Lisa always has her Iphone, so she is quick to respond to any question-- and they make the process easy and fun.

Lisa and Ian were excellent photographers. We decided to meet with them and look at their work several months before the wedding. They brought examples of their work which looked amazing. I loved their pictures on their website as well. Lisa and Ian offered extremely fair prices. We also got a videographer from Soft Box. Prior to the wedding, Lisa and Ian emailed me a sheet with suggestions of pictures as well as asking what pictures were most important to us. This was an excellent idea, so that they could get a feel for exactly what we wanted. On our wedding day, Lisa took pictures of me and the bridesmaids, while Ian took pictures with my husband and his groomsmen. This worked out beautifully. This way each moment was captured without wasting time. (Their packages are hourly). The videographer began at my house and then went to the men after about an hour or so. At the church, he gave my husband a tiny microphone, so that he can hear our voices at the altar. This ensured a video with excellent quality!!! We had a large wedding party so before the big day, Lisa drove over to where the reception was located and chose places for the pictures! I thought this was above and beyond! She knew that I wanted to have pictures on the train tracks and near the river, so she went and found the perfect places. They were very accommodating and not at all frustrated organizing our incredibly large wedding party. Both Lisa and Ian organized beautiful pictures without being pushy or rude to any of us. They suggested several poses and took our suggestions as well. Lisa and Ian even incorporated my husband’s dream of having pictures of us in the mustang. (Yes my husband loves his car!) The pictures turned out perfect! I ordered Thank You cards from them and I got TONS of complements. We used our professional pictures in an accordion style card. Lisa helped suggest what generic message to write and everyone loved them!!!! We see the Thank You cards sitting on counters at several family member’s houses. I also ordered 2 wedding photo albums and several pictures to put around the house. I would recommend them to anyone! They were perfect!!!

Lisa and Ian are absolutely AMAZING and I am SO happy that we used them as our wedding photographers. From the day we first met with them, it was clear that they were going to do a phenomenal job. Their sample albums were just gorgeous, and they were extremely professional about everything. They are VERY responsive, and we communicated via email a lot, to make sure everything with the contract worked out exactly right. When we met again closer to the wedding, we worked together to finalize all the timing for the day, and Lisa even made some great suggestions that ended up working out perfectly.

On the day of the wedding, Lisa came to the girls and Ian went to the guys for getting-ready pictures, which was perfect, so that everything could be documented beautifully. Once we all came together, they worked together to make sure that EVERY moment was captured, and it was so great to have 2 photographers there to be sure that nothing was missed. Not only that, but they are so professional and inconspicuous that is was almost impossible to tell that photographers were even there (especially in our church), which was very important to us.

After the ceremony, we did some bridal party pictures and couples pictures, which I cannot wait to see because I am sure they are going to be incredible. They know exactly what light to use, and how to place people so as to get the best photo possible. They worked with us to make sure we got all the shots we wanted, which was not always easy, especially with our huge families. Throughout the reception, it seemed like they were always there to capture every moment of the night, and I am sure there are some amazing, creative, and beautiful pictures to come.

I don't think we could have picked better people for the job- Lisa & Ian made everything go perfectly, and I am confident that they documented the entire day beautifully. We cannot wait to see how all the photos turned out!!! My husband and I, as well as my parents and friends, all highly recommend Softbox Media- they are amazing people who do amazing work!

When we first found Lisa and Ian it was under great duress…we had unfortunately given a down payment to a photographer that was recommended by our venue who completely went MIA after receiving our money…My husband and I stumbled across Softbox Media while looking at wedding website reviews and after seeing their portfolio (and prices) we knew these were the photographers for us! I emailed Lisa on a Sunday morning and went out to run errands, not expecting to hear from her until at least the next day. By the time I got home from running errands not only did I know that they were available for our wedding date but we were penciled in, AND had an appointment scheduled that week to meet with them (thank goodness for smart phones!).

Our hour long meeting scheduled for our consultation lasted for 3 hours! Lisa and Ian sat down and took the time to go through their portfolio, all of their products and packages; went through our wedding schedule, likes/dislikes – just really took the time to get to know us as a couple. We left there knowing when to expect a contract, what the next steps were and had our pre-wedding consultation appointment scheduled. Lisa and Ian stayed in touch with us until the wedding just to check in or seeing if we needed help with anything.

By the time it was our wedding day not only were we comfortable with them we considered Ian and Lisa friends and were just excited to have them there – and it really showed in our pictures. Our pictures turned out AMAZING; I couldn’t have wanted anything more. All of my friends and family not only rave over the pictures but rave over Ian and Lisa. All my bridesmaids and groomsmen commented on how much they enjoyed Lisa and Ian and ask when we will all get together again. I already have one friend that has booked them for her wedding this summer and my MOH is vowing to use them for her wedding as well.

I can’t say enough about Ian and Lisa, my husband and I are truly luck to have found them. They are unbelievable photographers who genuinely care about their clients. If you are looking for wonderful pictures AND photographers you can trust and enjoy being around on you big day you will be nothing but grateful for finding them too!

I was so pleased with Lisa and Ian the entire time we worked with them!! Before, during, and after my wedding they were always there to answer any questions we had. The photographs turned out AMAZING!!!! All of our family and friends loves the way the photos looked. And many people told me they weren't even aware that Lisa and Ian were there!!! Lisa and Ian of Softbox Media are beyond phenomenal!! They are very friendly, laid back and VERY CREATIVE. They listen to what you want in photos but have great ideas. We did our engagement photos and wedding photos with them and couldn't be happier. Everyone loved the pictures, we even had newlyweds look at our photos and comment how "magazine like" they are and wish they used Softbox Media. They are very responsive; any time I e-mailed them I heard right back, even if they were out of the area. At our wedding they got every shot I wanted and then some! Looking at the wedding photos they caught things with their cameras I wouldn't even have known happened if it weren't for them. I could not be happier with how the photography turned out. They are very affordable for what you get. I would without a doubt recommend Softbox Media as they made the photography aspect of the wedding stress free. I honestly could not say anything negative about them. Leave it to the professionals- Lisa & Ian!

Lisa and Ian were amazing. We got married on July 31st and had photos to view by August 18th - super fast turn around. They handled all the planning flawlessly, fit right in with the rest of the wedding party when going around taking photos and hanging out on the party bus from the chapel to the reception site, and took simply beautiful photos. They handled all of our requests with grace and just made our wedding that much easier. While we never plan on getting married again, I'm definitely planning on using SoftBoxMedia for future big events. They're amazing.

You are crazy if you go with anyone else! We just got married June 26th and Lisa and Ian with Softbox Media were our photographers. From the very beginning they were quick to respond to emails and phone calls as I tried to plan my DC wedding from SC. They were also professional and yet it felt like you were planning your wedding with a friend. They are great!

We had our engagement photo session down by the Jefferson Memorial during Cherry Blossom Season. It was a mess of people and Lisa and Ian agreed to meet us at the crack of dawn practically to ensure we got some great shots. There were hundreds of people walking around and yet in our photos she managed to take them at unique angles where you barely see anyone else. The pictures are fabulous!

They also photographed our wedding at a Baptist Church in Alexandria and our reception at Old Hickory in Woodbridge. We took the standard wedding pictures but before the reception we had a chance to be a little more creative. The took some great shots of us in front of a barn door and walking along the ridge on the golf course that look like they came right out of a bridal magazine. I couldn't believe it was me in the picture. They also did some neat things with color and I love this picture of my and my husband in black and white and my bouquet is the only thing in color. Even my dad commented on that picture!

I can't say enough about Softbox and Lisa and Ian. They are VERY reasonably priced for the DC area and you won't be disappointed. Their attention to detail and just fun personalities absolutely made our wedding! We couldn't be happier with our choice. I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married in the DC area.

Lisa and Ian were so much fun to work with! I met them at a bridal show, stumbled upon their booth as I was begining to feel like I was drowning in photographers and not sure how I would ever pick on. I spoke with them for a brief time and loved their enthusiasm. Lisa was always quick to respond to emails and was very flexible.

I got married 2 hours away and their travel fee was minimal. Befor our ceremony we had decided to do pictures on the campus of James Madison Uniersity (where I attended college). Photos were one of my favorite parts of the day. Lisa and Ian took the time to go visit JMU a week before the wedding to get photo ideas and the morning of the wedding they visited the campus book store to buy spirit apperal (beads, foam fingers, etc) that they thought we might have fun with in some of the pictures. We had some very nice picture and a lot of fun pictures thanks to this extra thoughtful touch! Lisa had even found a little place on campus I would have never thought about to take some pictures of my husband and I that were perfect. Lisa and Ian were such a great team and didnt miss a thing... in fact they took over 3,000 pictures.

After the wedding we were anxious to see our pictures, but were suprised to get an email from lisa that we could scedule our viewing just under 3 weeks after our wedding. Knowing the number of pictues Lisa had to go through and touch up I was not expecting to see them before at least a months time. The viewing was a phenomenal touch on it's own. We had the opportunity to view our pictures on a large screen and they even had munchies out for us to enjoy.

Overall it was an amazing experiance and I hope to use the couple again for our future photography needs!

Lisa and Ian did an absolutely fantastic job with our wedding. From the time we booked them, we didn't have to worry about a thing. We met once when we decided to book SoftBox and then another time when the wedding was about a month away. Lisa was in contact with us during our entire engagement process which was such a treat because I did not have to remember everything! We were able to tell Lisa and Ian what types of pictures we wanted and who we wanted them with. They were able to give us fun ideas and made sure we had everything covered before the big day arrived. The paperwork that we filled out with everyones names and what pictures we wanted was well organized and very user friendly.

On the actual wedding day, Lisa and Ian were amazing! Lisa met my bridal party at the hair salon and Ian met the boys for a straight razor shave. They both were able to capture the special time you have with your friends and family before the wedding. From that point on, they were both involved in every aspect of the wedding. They were able to catch all different types of pictures including fun, candid, and formal ones. They were personable, friendly, and patient with our huge wedding party of 22 and the rest of our crazy families. They took care of every pictures we asked for, so we didn't have to remember and ask for them. They were able to capture the most special pictures without us even noticing they were there. It's amazing to look back and see the pictures they got and not remember them right there.

When our pictures came back, we LOVED them! They were able to capture everything we wanted! I highly recommend SoftBox media and appreciate the personal touch they added to our wedding!

I could not have asked for more. I loved working with Lisa, all through the planning, and the day of, she & Ian seemed to be everywhere but still unobtrusive. Many of my guests commented on how unobtrusive they were, but they still got wonderful shots. My package was priced very reasonably for one photographer, yet this was for two. I was pleasantly suprised seeing some of the shots they took when I was elsewhere in the reception, lots of nice pictures of our guests. They were both so nice to work with; I think the groomsmen would have happily adopted Ian into their party. For me it was nice that Lisa had been a bride just a couple of months before my wedding, she had just been through it. Everyone I have shown my pictures to has been as awed by them as I am. I would highly highly recommend Softbox Media.

Lisa and Ian are fantastic to work with, and they take beautiful photos. They are newlyweds themselves, and so they know what it's like to plan a wedding. They are willing to split up to cover the bride and groom getting ready separately, they took shots from two different angles during the ceremony, and they both covered the big moments at the reception. They also came downtown to DC with us and took pictures of our bridal party in front of the monuments, and Lisa came to our rehearsal dinner to take a few photos of that. We love all of our pictures. Lock them in fast, because their business is booming and their prices are going up.

Lisa Parkinson was phenomenal! She is an up and coming photographer with a fresh outlook on photography. She went above and beyond the call of duty, stayed at a hotel in the area when we found out Hurricane Hannah would be visiting us on our wedding day and could potential mess up traffic, and she and her fiance, Ian, were fabulous. Our pictures turned out beautifully and I cannot thank her enough! I would recommend her to anyone!

Lovesome Photography photographed our June 2014 wedding. They did an absolutely fantastic job. I cannot recommend Lovesome highly enough. Our photos were outstanding! I am normally very camera shy, but Lisa was wondefful & put me at ease. In addition, when our Day-Of Coordinator didn't show, Lisa provided valuable guidance and expertise on when events should start & helped coordinate while continuing to take beautiful photos.

Loved these guys! They were first and foremost VERY professional and actively listened to what we wanted for our big day. Our guests said that they didn't even notice that they were there at times. Hard to believe because they did an outstanding job capturing all of the wedding moments. Coming from our friends and family...."Your wedding pictures look like they have come straight out of a magaizine!" "Lots of creative and unique shots!" Lisa and Ian were great to work with leading up to the wedding and were amazing on the day of! I just got my proof books back and they look incredible. Since I live so far from them, it was great that they were flexible to meet me at various places around DC. Their packages were also very flexible to fit my budget and what I was looking for! I highly recommend them!
