Jen and Chris at Sawicki Studios are simply exceptional. We are not natural posers (at all) and we were a little nervous about how our photos would turn out. That worry disappeared within minutes of being around them. They have this incredible ability to make you feel completely at ease while also directing you with confidence, always knowing exactly what would look best and getting us into poses we never would have found on our own. What blew us away was how completely they documented our day. Every moment felt captured: the candid in-between moments, the big emotional beats, the details we didn't even notice in real time. When we got our gallery back faster than expected, we were genuinely speechless. The couples portraits and golden hour shots look like they belong in a magazine. The colors, lighting, and editing style matched the vibe of our wedding perfectly. Jen and Chris don't just take photos, they disappear into the background and let your day unfold naturally, while somehow capturing everything. We've already recommended them to others, and we'll keep doing so! -

We absolutely loved working with Chris and Jen - from the first call through the engagement shoot and to the final wedding day we had a great experience. My husband normally is very uncomfortable with getting his photo taken but Chris and Jen's calm and easy-going demeanor made all the difference on our wedding day. Our favorite part was at the end of the night when we received surprise Polaroid photos from moments throughout the day that we were able to take home that night! -

We hired Chris & Jen Sawicki for our engagement and wedding sessions, and let me say, they are one of the best photographers you will find in the Capital Region area!! My now-husband and I are beyond happy and grateful to have had the Sawicki team on our side for one of the most important and special events in our lives! Chris & Jen are personable, professional and at the same time low-key, so you won't even notice they're there. They have a keen eye to details, and their editing techniques will blow you out of the water when you see your final products. We couldn't be more thrilled to have had Sawicki Photography with us. Chris and his wife, Jen are simply amazing. They do the best work in the area, if not in New York. He does whatever he can to get the best shots, whether it be jumping on random pieces of furniture or standing in the rain to get breath-taking photographs. They will not disappoint you. His photos go above and beyond your expectation. He also worked with my crazy idea as my first look in a blow up dinosaur costume, which he even made THAT look amazing. -

The main thing i can say with hiring a photographer is GO WITH YOUR GUT. I hired a photographer ( not chris) when I first got engaged who was highly well known and popular and had a low price in the photography world. I wasn’t truly amazed by his photos they were just par and had no editing to them. I used him for an engagement shoot and from the second we started the shoot his energy was very rushed and anxious and i got a pit in my stomach about hiring him. Once we got the photos back I decided I did not want to work with him and so I had to go back to the drawing board. I found Chris but figured there was no way I could afford someone who had photos with as nice of quality as his. I messaged him on Facebook just to check and he was a bit over budget I told him unfortunately I could not afford that and he replied “that’s my off season I can work with that”. My mouth dropped and I ran around cheering. A few weeks later my fiancé and i met with him and he was the complete opposite of the previous photographer I had hired. He was SO relaxed and comforting. He just knew what he wanted to do and he didn’t try to sell us anything or tell us any lies and i booked him right away. He shot our wedding last Saturday and i am not lying when i tell you except for staged photos i NEVER saw him (which is a HUGE positive). I don’t remember seeing him walking down the aisle, during the first dance, nothing. But all of the sudden he uploaded these INSANE photos that he took that according to all my friends and family are “award winning”. And not only that but he had 30 photos uploaded in 3 days after the wedding! The morning after we were at breakfast and got 4 photos! Tell me a photographer that gives you photos that quick! It was chilly the day of our wedding and he consistently asked me if i was too cold and wanted to go inside. He made all of our private photos and family photos extremely quick and everyone loved him. I cannot say enough about the kind heart and talent this man has. He is worth EVERY penny. -

They were able to capture every nuance of the emotion and the meaning of the most perfect day ever. I love every image! Their professionalism and talent are exemplary. I cannot adequately express how much I appreciate all the work they did the day of the wedding and since to produce such beautiful images. Chris and Jen worked seamlessly with the other vendors to be present for every important moment while not making their presence felt. The candids were truly candid and the more formal poses were fun and easygoing. We couldn’t be happier!

Vanessa Sent on 10/20/2013The first time I saw the photos that Sawicki does I fell instantly in love with them. I knew that I wanted to have them do my photography for my wedding. Not a minute did I second guess my decision. Chris was very professional from the first meeting we had with him until the day of the wedding. He is very prompt and answers emails quickly and answers any questions. He is also very accommodating and will make sure that he captures everything that you want him to. His photos and lighting are simply amazing! -

Jessica Sent on 06/27/2012We had a fantastic time with Chris and Jen on our wedding day!!! They were so laid back and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera…even on a hot August day. Chris is amazing with lighting and knows how to make each picture unique. While Jen is excellent at capturing those unforgettable moments so with their combined talent you get incredible photos that you will love for a life time. Every time people look at our engagement and wedding photos they are amazed at the quality and always ask who our photographer was and I’m proud to say Sawicki Studios. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!
