The Ritz Carlton, Palm Beach had not even been on my radar until two years ago. I used to spend a lot of time at the Breakers and always loved the ambiance and European feel. When my husband and I got engaged we knew we didn't want to get married in my native Michigan and my mom suggested the Ritz in Palm Beach. She contacted their events and catering department and we were hooked up with Mandy Conner. From then on we had an exceptional experience.
The venue is beautiful, and I really wish there were more photos on line for people to see but the hotel is pretty beyond words. It is exactly my style and I knew planning a wedding there it would be amazing, because the entire hotel would look like it was decorated for my event. From the fireplaces and sofas and over all decor, everything is just extremely beautiful. Anything we suggested was a possibility, Mandy never once told us no, she would rather just find out "how". Not only that, she was extremely sweet and stayed until 3:30am when the wedding wrapped on the day of. She is so young, its actually surprising at her level of know-how and ability to make things happen at the hotel.
The site is a bit far for anyone staying at other hotels in the area, and that was one draw back of the location. However, this made everyone really stay and experience everything we were offering the weekend of the wedding. My friends and family were blown away with the property, the outside pool and fire pit were essentially taken over by our party and we had the time of our lives.
As well, for the reception, the wedding cake was provided in our catering contract and it exceeded my expectations. I brought in a picture and the pastry chef made a beautiful replica!
Another good point to make, is that my dress was sent from New York a week before along with other boxes for the event and Gina, Mandy's assistant was extremely helpful in making sure everything was recieved and taken care of properly. That took a lot of my plate and I really appreciated it. As for the event weekend the feeling left with all guests was everyone wants to go back!
The rehearsal dinner was held in the spa and the food was so good most of our guests said it was the best meal they'd ever had... and then there was the wedding reception, where the ambiance and set-up was just exquisite.
The only problems we encurred were with the billing department. A payment was supposed to be drawn months before the wedding. This did not happen, and left my parents paying quite a chunk of a bill they thought was already in part handled, the day before. That caused stress and other things popping up on our bill since the event have been troublesome. However, again Mandy is extremely responsive and helpful and has done her best to rectify this situation.
I don't know if any other venue would have been able to provide for our weekend what we experienced at the Ritz. We actually had 2 guests that are closely tied to other Ritz properties and they were even impressed with name recognition and the quality of service, property amenities and the beauty of the hotel. I would never change where I had my wedding- it was PERFECT.

They kept all the many moving parts on schedule, and they were lovely, kind, flexible and extremely accommodating. The food and service at the Ritz were phenomenal, the ballroom was spectacular, the wedding cake was gorgeous (and delicious). Everything was first rate, and We highly recommend them for any event.
User1115127 Sent on 03/21/2013a Gorgeous Venue for any affair especially a wedding. The staff was attentive and responsive. The wedding coordinator, Nadia Croner Rodriguez was outstanding. Probably the best event we ever ran anywhere. If we had to do it again, it woud be at the Ritz Carlton, Manalapan! Thank you all!!
