  Tied together our simple beach wedding perfectly.

  Liz was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Quick to communicate and super helpful guiding me when I wasn't too sure what I wanted. Not only was the cake beautiful but SO delicious. Liz also brought hors devours that were also picture perfect and so yummy!

  Fantastic!

  Elizabeth made a beautiful spread of delicious hors d’oeuvres for our welcome dinner the night before our wedding and they were absolutely fantastic! She also made our wedding cake which was perfectly light and refreshing! We would highly recommend working with her! She even helped us to find our wedding reception venue and we couldn’t have been happier!

  Words cannot describe how grateful we are!!

  Liz was the absolute best to work with and you would be silly not to hire her many skills!! My only regret is that I took so long to write the review! My husband and I were married on 8/182020, one day after the island went on lockdown because of the pandemic! Like a lot of things in 2020, our wedding plans got messed up....more than once. Liz helped save the day by being kind, patient, and understanding throughout the uncertain process, and by delivering the cake (and food for the week) to an outdoor pavilion where my husband and I could have some semblance of a normal wedding experience (distanced of course)! She is phenomenally trained and all of her food was delicious. She packed us a picnic for post-wedding beach-going/celebrating which really came in handy for many many days due to the restaurant closers. Whenever we go back we will definitely get food from Liz instead of trying to grocery shop or go out to eat for the whole trip. We deeply appreciate the way Liz took care of us during a stressful time and cannot say enough positive things about her. I am looking forward to having her cake again on our anniversary!! Thank you SO MUCH Liz!!!!

  Superb food and service

  We celebrated 3 birthdays on October 13, 2 adults and a 1 year old. Liz did a cake for the 1 year old and a separate cake for the adults. Both were beautiful and delicious. In addition, Liz prepared a welcoming meal for our arrival night that was the best we had on island. We highly recommend Queen of Tarts. Very professional and a joy to work with.

  Awesome cake!

  We had an idea of what we wanted for our wedding cake and Liz made it a reality. She paid attention to detail, made recommendations, and we had the best looking and tasting cake we could have asked for.
  
  She was responsive from the beginning and always making herself available to us. All of our guests complimented the savory cake and enjoyed every single piece until it was all gone! It was excellent!

Everyone loved the selection of rum cake flavored cupcakes, fruit tarts, cheesecake bites and pecan chocolate bars... So much in fact that we (the bride and groom) hardly got any! I was so happy that you were able to replicate my decorating ideas and took the time to help me choose the best desserts for our venue and guest list. I would highly recommend using Liz's services for any of your dessert catering needs in St. John. She did a FANTASTIC job!! Thank you Liz!

  Queen of Tarts came recommended by Shanna at Blue Sky Concierge, who set up my request for Key Lime pies for my beach wedding. All we had to do was pick up! The pies were delicious and held up well during transportation in the cooler. Definitely a memorable wedding dessert.

  Queen of Tarts provided catering for our wedding reception and our wedding cake. Everything exceeded our expectations!. The food was amazing and the staff could not have been a better fit for our party. We had a mix of attendees ranging from foodies to picky eaters to small children and there were plenty of options for everyone. Liz and her team made the evening so enjoyable. The cake was one of the best I have ever had, and I love cake! The entire experience from choosing the menu to wrapping up at the end of the night was seamless and carefree. I would recommend Queen of Tarts to anyone who loves food and an amazingly friendly chef!

  Queen of Tarts was amazing!!! Elizabeth is wonderful! she took all the photos i sent her and made us exactly what we envisioned for our wedding day and they tasted amazing!! And then she even hand delivered them to the ceremony. If you need a cake or cupcake for a wedding or a party she is your girl!!

  Liz was so wonderful to work with! My husband and I had very specific requests for our wedding cake with two very different flavors (carrot cake on the top layer and vanilla with fresh strawberries for the bottom layer) and Liz made it all happen. She also made suggestions for the icing given the conditions of the island (buttercream, not cream cheese that will melt instantly in the heat!). Liz was helpful and responsive through the entire process. She delivered the cake to our reception and it was truly amazing! I might be a little biased, but it was quite possibly the best wedding cake I've ever tasted! I would highly recommend Liz and Queen of Tarts!

  Had trouble finding the shop but no matter as the baker was out looking for me. The cupcakes were excellent, better than we had asked for. And Liz did everything to make our day easy. A delightful experience.

  Liz at Queen of Tarts is amazing! We traveled to St. John for our destination wedding from Houston, TX. Liz went out of her way to make my fiancé' and I a beautiful and delicious piece of edible wedding art (our wedding cake). We looked at numerous pics of wedding cakes online, discussed multiple flavors and designs with Liz during our initial planning. Liz was open to all our suggestions and helped us every step of the way in person and remotely. We decided on a tropical coconut cake frosted vanilla buttercream. In addition, because the fiancé loved chocolate, Liz paired it with a layer of chocolate glaze and chocolate buttercream. As for decor, Liz knew my fiancé loved the color purple from our discussions so our cake was meticulously decorated with beautiful tropical purple flowers to match our wedding colors. Our wedding cake was so beautiful my fiancé initially didn’t want to cut into it ; ) Liz also went out of her way to work with our wedding establishment to have our cake delivered and situated for our afternoon wedding reception arrival/cake cutting pics with our photographer. Everything was perfect for our dream destination wedding! We would wholeheartedly recommend Liz at Queen of Tarts for anyone looking to have a wedding on St. John or wanting something special for a private event/party. Liz definitely goes out of her way for her customers and new friends.

She is very nice, easy to work with, and produced our tastes and visions of our wedding cake. The cake was beautiful and all the cheesecakes, tortes, and cake slices were completely gone before the reception was over. Our wedding reception location was on a very bumpy steep road, but Liz didn't stress at all and made it happen. Thank you Liz!

  The drive into where the reception was located was a very bumpy, rough steep road, how she ever got the cake and everything there in perfect condition I will never know. I would highly recommend Liz for any type of event!

  Best. Wedding. Cake. Ever!

  Wedding cakes are for show, not eating, right? Wrong! The lemon cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream frosting was the best cake we’ve ever eaten! Liz is so accommodating as well. When we met with her in late fall to discuss her baking a cake for our daughter’s early June wedding, she mentioned that she usually heads back to Vermont for off season BUT decide to extend her stay for a couple more weeks to accommodate our wedding plans.   Wedding cakes are for show, not eating, right? Wrong! The lemon cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream frosting was the best cake we’ve ever eaten! Liz is so accommodating as well. When we met with her in late fall to discuss her baking a cake for our daughter’s early June wedding, she mentioned that she usually heads back to Vermont for off season BUT decide to extend her stay for a couple more weeks to accommodate our wedding plans. She delivered the cake directly to our villa where we hosted the reception. Liz’s above and beyond service and best cake ever truly helped make this special day.

  Liz, Queen of Tarts, was extremely easy to work with for my daughter's wedding cake. Liz was very accessible being that we were in California, and she on St John. Our lemon cake (made with fresh, California lemon juice) was exquisite! Liz suggested the fresh Raspberry Butter Cream filling along with the Buttercream frosting. The cake was beautifully decorated with local flowers to complete the St John experience.
  The Wedding Cake was beautiful, moist, and extremely tasty. We strongly recommend working with Liz (Queen of Tarts)!
