As a wedding photographer, finding the wedding venue of our dreams was a huge feat, because even after six years of photographing venues I still hadn't felt like I found "the one". My husband and I were engaged during the pandemic and spent summer 2020 touring wedding venues. I had heard of pumphouse through a friend who had photographed a wedding there, and when we first toured it, we knew. It had everything we were looking for: so much beautiful nature, artwork, industrial vibes for reception, room for our families to stay. Our wedding weekend was truly perfect thanks to Pumphouse and we couldn't be more thankful. We hosted our rehearsal dinner through post-wedding brunch there and our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful and unique the venue was (and how good breakfast was!) -

Elopement Package
My husband and I are greatly satisfied with the whole elopement experience at The Pump House. Lisa and Doug were very nice and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this venue for any type of wedding. -

Wow. We cannot say enough good things about the Pump House B&B. They were incredibly flexible throughout our wedding planning process, and Lisa and Doug truly felt like family by the end of our celebration. The grounds are beyond stunning - from serene creeks to beautiful trees + chickens and cats and rooms/halls decked out in Doug's original artwork, the physical surroundings truly transported both us and the guests to a woodland, art-filled paradise. They worked wonderfully with the set of vendors we hired, and even were flexible enough to accommodate a kosher caterer. It was also the perfect setting to get together with family the night before our wedding. Thank you to the Pump House! -

Over the top wedding!!
This place has this inherent magical and special energy I cannot describe, you have to see it for yourself. It is so charming and has the most positive energy, even if it were to rain, we knew it would be magical and radiate through the damper day.
Let me tell you, the pump house made our vision literally come to life. We wanted to completely DIY our wedding, and this was the perfect venue for us. They provide their accommodation, tables, and chairs (tons of random decor you are allowed to use) and the rest was up to us! This is a blank slate venue, that you can entirely make your own! You have no idea how customized we made this wedding. We spent 2.5 years collecting things and came with a 15 foot Uhaul. It was such a production, but so well worth it. This venue is so flexible with doing whatever you want, and it is SO stunning. You can do as little or as much yourself, or hire vendors to do everything. We came as early as Wednesday to set up. We even did a Jewish ritual called a Mikvah in the river hugging the venue on Thursday, and a private Shabbat Rehersal dinner Friday where the Owner Lisa baked us homemade Challah. These owners put their touch, charm, and hearts throughout the venue and you can really feel it. Throughout the venue you’ll find the owner Doug’s artwork, stained glass, hand made tiles; making this venue so unique and gorgeous. There are sweet cats hanging all around the venue, and chickens they raise and use the eggs to make breakfast. I highly recommend hiring a day of coordinator if you do rent this venue, and the best one who is intimately familiar with this venue is Elizabeth Wilbur, which you will see our incredible review on her page (she literally saved the day). Anyway - this venue has so much charm and character, there’s something magical that exists in the air. The daily breakfast is soooooo good, and the owners make it with love. This was the most special and incredible wedding, our guests have none stop been talking about it. The photos will tell you everything!

From the initial visit to the day after breakfast, the owners Doug and Lisa were nothing short of amazing. The venue allows you to choose whichever vendors you'd like, and totally allows the freedom to create whatever atmosphere you're looking for. The space is so unique and we really loved all the artistic touches that were present throughout the ceremony space, reception hall, on-site accommodations, and even the off-site Airbnb. Doug and Lisa were the reassuring and calming presence that was definitely needed during the stressful time of wedding planning. I would absolutely recommend this venue! -

The Pump House B&B is a beautiful site for a wedding and much like the first time we met, when we first visited for a tour we knew that this was “the one”. Tucked deep into the woods and surrounded by the sights and sounds of a beautiful river, with so much history and unique artwork, we were excited for the Pump House to serve as the backdrop for our wedding weekend. Owners Doug and Lisa made themselves available as we planned our big day and afforded us creative freedom and use of the vast grounds through the weekend. When it started to rain right before our ceremony, they were quick to bring out umbrellas for our guests who hadn't come equipped with them. We enjoyed having the freedom to create the wedding of our dreams with comfort knowing Doug and Lisa were close by, ready and willing to assist in any way they could. On both the day of and after our wedding, we had breakfast on site and we and our guests alike were so impressed with the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. We are so happy we found such a unique venue with so much history. We would highly recommend the Pump House to anyone looking for a rustic / industrial venue that affords you the canvas and freedom to create the wedding of your dreams! -

Wonderful venue
From the moment I saw the pictures online of the Pump House, I knew I wanted to have me wedding there. Not only is the property absolutely beautiful and unique. Doug and the staff are amazing. We had a beautiful wedding and our wedding weekend breakfasts were delicious! My husband and I plan on going back to stay the weekend for our anniversary! -

Just like the first time we met, the first time we stepped foot onto the property of The Pump House, we knew that this was it. Doug and Lisa have worked so hard and have put so much passion and love into this incredible spot tucked down in the woods. From the beautiful property, creative and unique art pieces, and the handpicked apple/pear cobbler at breakfast, they were a huge part in making our wedding weekend perfect. The Pump House is so unique and full of love, we felt it instantly on our first visit. The property is full of passion and warmth that can be felt in the details throughout the cabins and the rest of the property. The staff exudes kindness and projects it to all guests and couples throughout the whole weekend. We were so proud to have the feedback from our guests about the venue and we continue to hear all the good things about our weekend from our guests. Positive comments about the food, the services, and the relaxed atmosphere are still pouring in. I really have no idea how to really put into words how amazing our whole weekend was there and I know there are a ton of things I'm missing in this review. They were incredible from start to finish during the entire planning process of our wedding. We have zero regrets and hope to return to the property for a love getaway in the future. -

Claire Sent on 04/12/2018Doug and Lisa were so welcoming and helpful throughout the whole process. We absolutely fell in love with the location, and every time we came back to visit it was improved. For us, getting to choose our vendors, staying on site, having no strict time limit and ability to be in the spaces the whole weekend really made the weekend extra wonderful with more family time. The artwork is beautiful, the breakfast is delicious, and it is is just the most lovely place to be married!!!

Huge amount of shady beautiful outdoor space bordering the Catawissa creek complete with use of fire pit, ping pong table, and foosball table. The option to rent lodging with I believe eight beds. We had sixteen people stay comfortably. You also get the space from Friday to Sunday which is a huge stress reliever. How nice is it to have your friends and family with you your entire wedding weekend? Very!! There is another smaller air conditioned hall on site which the owner very graciously gave us use of. The Pump House building is not air conditioned so after dinner guests either retreated to the outdoors or the air conditioned Celebration Space. I would not let the lack of air conditioning in the big hall (Pump House) sway you as even though dinner was warm all of the other features of the property more then make up for it. Because we had the space from Friday until Sunday our stress level was reduced considerably. We had our rehearsal dinner in the Celebration Space after we set up the hall for the wedding. The owner Doug is available and is very willing to help in any way to make you wedding stress free. When you rent the bed and breakfasts you get a breakfast that is abundant and delicious. Doug's omelets beat any I have had, even in those fancy resorts. There is a beautiful alter set up overlooking the creek that many use to get married on site. We married in the church but used the alter for our photos. I cannot tell you how many of my guests commented that ours was the best wedding they ever attended due to the beautiful unique space and relaxed atmosphere. Where else can you sit around a campfire after your wedding? We did and it was just so very relaxing. I suspect that we got lucky in getting this space because as word gets out about this gem, availability will be sparse. I could not be happier about my experience with the Pump House bed and breakfast and could rave for hours but I am out of spac
