Beautiful spring wedding!

We had the pleasure of working with Payton in April 2024 for my wedding. Leading up to the event, she went above and beyond for our prep meetings and absolutely blew us away on our wedding weekend. Every detail was taken care of and I was SO relaxed on my wedding day. There are so many special details I could call out, but my favorite was when Payton put my dancing shoes on my chair without me even asking for them, and then I traded my heels for my sneakers. She is so thoughtful and I couldn’t have been happier that she played such an important part on our wedding day 💕

You need payton!

We hired APOC and selected the "A Friend of the Bride" package. We chose the venue, sourced all our vendors, and then contracted with Payton 3 months before our wedding - She stepped-in and seamlessly took control!

She immediately aligned with our vision, she ran with it, and she absolutely nailed it - We're so incredibly happy that we trusted Payton and were blessed with her expertise!!

We live in Tampa, so Wakulla was a destination wedding and it was so effortless to collaborate with Payton from a distance; phone calls, emails, text messages...she was so prompt, so communicative, and so easy to follow / understand re: next steps and to-do's.

Payton was incredibly proactive with reception layout options, day-of timelines, and buttoning-up final details with our vendors. Everything came together exactly as discussed and promised.

When our families get together, it can be like "herding cats", but she took absolute and professional control of our rehearsal, making sure everyone know where and how to be, so when it came time for all of the day-of direction, everyone looked to her and followed her lead - It was AMAZING!!

And finally...those tablescapes! Oh my gosh, the TABLESCAPES!! I've never seen such beautifully and tastefully detailed tables. The design was absolutely timeless and will still be breathtakingly gorgeous when looking at photos decades from now.

Payton was our rock, our leader, our artist of the day and we couldn't be happier. We put so much intention and heart into planning every little detail; it takes an incredible amount of trust to transition ownership of that to someone else and Payton more than rose to the occasion - She met the day with even more passion than we could and contracting with her was the best decision we made!

A Piece of Cake is AMAZING!

We cannot thank A Piece of Cake Event Planning enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect! From start to finish, Payton and her team were professional, organized, and incredibly attentive to every detail. Payton took the stress out of planning and made the entire process feel effortless.

She listened to our vision and brought it to life in ways that exceeded our expectations. At one point, we told her we completely trusted her judgement and I'm so glad we did. She made everything even better than we had imagined. Every timeline was met, every vendor coordinated flawlessly, and the day flowed without a single hiccup, even after it rained the ENTIRE DAY! She pivoted our ceremony plan and moved it inside and it was perfection.

A Piece of Cake Event Planning/Payton: Thank you SO much for making Julio and my wedding day sooooooooooooo special! Everything was so beautiful and executed perfectly! We had such a fun time and received many compliments! You went far and above what I could've imagined! Payton was there from day one until the last of the clean up! She is well organized, structured, friendly and professional! Payton helped design our invitations, mailed them out, kept track of attendees, arranged for every vendor to show up and set up on time. Made amazing suggestions of things I would have never thought to have done! All we had to do was SHOW UP! Payton greeted us with our favorite beverages before the wedding! The boutonnieres/mother's corsage, my flower arrangements were delivered and helped us put everything on/how to carry. I'm STILL smiling from Saturday!! Apalachicola Wedding

Peyton was amazing! She helped my daughter plan her wedding in less than 4 months. We were so lucky to find her. She handled all the details, venue changes, and even last-minute shopping to find rugs, so her heels didn’t slip through the pier. I would highly recommend her. She created a wonderful weekend and day.

Our Wedding Day Went Off Without a Hitch

We were super impressed with A Piece of Cake Event Planning, specifically our planner, Payton and her day-of coordination services during our wedding this past weekend. Throughout the weeks leading up to our wedding, she was extremely communicative, pleasant and helpful, coordinating with vendors on our behalf while also asking important questions to ensure we had covered all of our bases. From leading our rehearsal to running around and managing the event day-of, everything went so smoothly and looked so beautiful and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We truly loved working with her and are so excited for future APOC clients who will benefit from her support as well!

Kate is a MUST

A Piece of Cake Event Planning coordinated my rehearsal dinner and wedding. Both were amazing! If you are looking for a person to take care of all the major "day of" issues, Kate is perfect. As soon as we met with her, all stress and worries about our big day went away. The wedding was an absolute dream, and I did not have to worry about anything the day of. There are honestly no words that would do Kate's work justice. She was INCREDIBLE!! I bought the largest package and every penny spent was worth it. She has connections with a lot of local vendors who have worked with her before and know her well. She goes great lengths to make sure you LOVE your day and everything about it. I got to be in the moment and enjoy my new husband, friends, and family with full confidence that everything would run smoothly. I would recommend Kate to anyone. Satisfied Bride and Groom even in the midst of pandemic

We had our original wedding date on 4/23/2020, but Covid 19 disrupted all of our plans. Kate Pararo is super AMAZING, SUPPORTIVE and RESPONSIVE! She has a wealth of knowledge, connections and recommendations in the industry. Kate texted me on 4/23/2020 - just to let us know that we were on her mind. That meant A LOT to us!

Kate is helping us with postponing our wedding for the second time (yes, we had to postpone twice!). She also made great recommendations for our small ceremony which will only include our immediate family members.

For FUTURE brides, I highly recommend A Piece of Cake!! Even during a pandemic, we are so happy and gratrful that we have the support from Kate and her team!!!

Hire them now!

Being an event planner myself, I knew I wanted to hire someone so that I would not feel the need to take charge at my wedding. My fiance (at that time) and I interviewed a few different wedding planners and he thought Kate was the only one capable to plan our wedding so I did not feel that I need to do things. And he was right! She took care of everything and made it a piece of cake. She worked well with both me and my mom in planning everything. She understood our style and even suggested things we fell in love with. Her knowledge and connection with vendors was so helpful! On the wedding day, she made sure that if something went wrong it was hidden from me and my mom until later when we could laugh about it. She isn't afraid to take control with vendors if they aren't up to par. For example, telling the band that the break was getting too long and they need to play again or having the bride's cake arrive looking like a hot mess and demanding them to fix it and bring another one in. I know there is so much more on our wedding day that she did to make it perfect that I don't know about. Everyone involved in the wedding loved Kate and working with her! Best decision we made was hiring Kate!! She made my wedding dreams become a reality!

Kate and her team are amazing! I met with Kate twice before our big day and she was so helpful in making sure that our wedding day was all we wanted and more! Kate was extremely quick to respond to my inquiry about their services and everything they provided! I had Becky from her team do my event and she was absolutely amazing. I did the "Friend of the Bride" package where she helped implement a timeline and events the day of, but she truly did way more than that! She answered every question I had no matter how small, and was always so willing to help in any capacity with vendor recommendations and decor help. From our emails back and forth, our meeting before the wedding, and our day of she was FLAWLESS! I would think of something the day of and she either had already taken care of it or was extremely accommodating to make it happen! Love love loved working with this company!!

A Piece of Cake's Becky McCrea is the best wedding coordinator out there.

Never once did I want, need or feel anxious for anything on my wedding day. With Becky at the helm, our wedding day was seamless. She was faced with the challenge that due to the weather, our ceremony space needed to be transformed into our reception space in a very short amount of time. She was not even phased by it, and rose to the occasion. As my pictures were being taken, Becky and her team made the transition seamless, and almost unrecognizable as the same venue.

She made sure to check in with me and keep me on a timeline without being there too frequently, she hosted our rehearsal filled with some rowdy groomsmen with absolute ease and professionalism, and navigated a truly incredible weekend.

Becky, thank you so much for everything! You and your team are outstanding, and we are endlessly grateful.

i have no idea what we would have done without Kate and her team! We did not exactly have a vision of what our wedding day would look like, but Kate was extremely patient with us and offered suggestions and advice along the way. She coordinated with all of our vendors leading up to the wedding and it could not have gone smoother. Most of our decorations were from her rental inventory, including some of her beautiful farm tables and benches. We got so many compliments on the decor and we just kept saying, "It's all thanks to Kate!"

Kate was a blessing! She is so easy to work with and very professional. She went above and beyond. She also responded very quickly to my emails or phone calls which is great for a worrisome bride. I purchased the something borrowed for my daughters wedding. We went over all of our ideas and Kate gave some suggestions. We had a majority of decorations bought and /or made, we did go with most of Kate's suggestions. All of her suggestions ended up making the wedding day run very smoothly (except for the rain that day). Kate and her team decorated and cleaned up. When we had to switch gears and have the wedding inside (at Goodwood), Kate and her team pulled it together very seamlessly. I feel like this was my husband and I's best purchase for the wedding, we were pretty much not stressed and had a blast at our daughter's wedding because Kate took care of everything that day. It was worth every penny.

APOC was wonderful! Kate was meticulous with assisting us with all of the details and she made amazing recommendations on decor that everyone at our wedding loved! We were clueless going into the process, and having a 2 bride wedding was definitely a challenge. (We are a same sex couple). Kate was able to listen to our vision and help connect the dots with the details we didn't know we needed to know.
On the day of our wedding she executed everything flawlessly. APOC made sure Kim and I were able to be in the moment and enjoy our wedding.

I ended up planning my wedding long distance, and it wouldn't have gone off nearly as well had it not been for Kate Pararo and her team. Even though Kate was originally hired to be our day-of coordinator, she helped me so much leading up to the wedding as well. She worked with me to organize my vendors and my timeline, and she saved a lot of my sanity!

We could not have had such an amazing wedding day without the help of Kate and the rest of her team from "A Piece of Cake Event Planning". They were so incredibly helpful throughout our entire planning process and the sense of ease I had from knowing that I could count on them was tremendous. Kate listened to what our vision was and helped us connect to vendors that could make this happen. Whenever something fell through on my end, she always had a really great solution ready to be utilized. If there was anything that did go wrong on the day, never found out because Kate and her team tackled it. Kate was very flexible in meeting with me whenever I was in town and stayed in constant contact with me. We are so thrilled that Kate was part of our wedding day and are so lucky to have had her help. Like I said, it wouldn’t have been possible without her. Piece of Cake was an absolute pleasure to work with! Marlo and Kate were delightful, professional and made what wasn't, look incredibly easy. They stepped in as day-of coordinators at the last minute after our original person was unable to continue. What could have been an extremely difficult situation became an enjoyable event with their help. We worked primarily with Marlo, and her kind, gentle and competent demeanor was just what we needed at this time. However, both ladies were at the wedding, and their low-key but efficient presence was evident throughout. A Piece of Cake took care of everything that we needed from the rehearsal to the send-off and clean up after the reception. They were wonderful in every way and helped to make a beautiful event perfect.

I seriously don't know where to start. Marlo and Kate are amazing!!!!!!!!
Not only are they super responsive, super friendly, but they made my vision come true.
They took care of everything, and I am forever grateful!!!!! The detailed timeline, the detailed layouts, the calling and organizing of my vendors are all things Marlo took care of for me.
I am sad its over because I felt like these ladies were friends.

Kate with "A Piece of Cake Event Planning" was absolutely amazing and so incredibly helpful throughout my entire planning process! I was engaged for two years and I booked her shortly after getting engaged. Kate was extremely helpful with coordinating and linking me to other vendors in the tallahassee area as I did not live near the area. Kate also grasped onto my vision very quickly and while that is important throughout the planning process, it is crucial for the big day as she makes decisions if something wrong were to occur. If something did go wrong on the day, I had no idea and did not notice either! Kate was very flexible in meeting with me whenever I was in town and stayed in constant contact with me. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and I can't thank Kate enough for all her and the rest of the company's help!!!!

Kate was very responsive, very professional, very detailed, and very pleasant to work with. The wedding party also enjoyed her easy-going demeanor in directing the rehearsal and wedding. I recently helped with my nieces wedding and now understand all the details that only Kate/Wedding planner could have done. In my opinion, I would not do a wedding without her. Kare Pararo and team at "A Piece of Cake" were awesome. She was involved heavily from the beginning and brought many excellent suggestions to the table... early and timely, so that we were not overwhelmed by the decisions or the process. Very flexible, as the father, some dilemmas came up and she handled them expertly. She had a list of vendors that were the best. What was most noteworthy is that the drama level for this event, expected to be moderate at least, was extremely low, because WE DIDNT HAVE TO WORRY about anything, it was all handled. That allowed us as the family of the bride to just take it in and enjoy the moment. That was a very special gift. I would recommend Kate and team highly!

My wedding came out perfect and I am so glad that I had Lesly and Kate there to help with all the little details that I was overlooking. Although I was stressing out because everything was getting so close I was able to turn to Lesly with anything that I needed done. I never knew how important an event planner was until I used these fine people. The stress of the day fell on me the groom. They were unbelievable. Even the smallest details were taken care of. From the rehersal to the day of the event they were "part of the family". You could not go wrong in selecting this business and it would be the best investment you will make. Kate and Lesley saw me and my wife through the last month of our wedding planning. We had made most of the arrangements and done most of the planning ourselves. Picking vendors and venues was the easy part. Getting everyone to communicate and coordinate their responsibilities and activities in the correct order was much more difficult than we expected. Having Kate and Lesley to handle everything down the home stretch (and especially on the wedding day), made our big day as stress free as possible and ultimately very enjoyable for us and our families.

Kate and Leslie were wonderful to work with for my wedding. For my wedding the church had coordinators that conducted the rehearsal and actual ceremony. But Kate and Leslie did an awesome job with everything else. I would recommend them to anyone!
