Thanks to Raf of One Edition Photography for doing our engagement photos. Kudos for turning the shots i have in my mind into a reality (Raf, the photographer, is a mind reader =)) . We initially dealt with Meg & Raf via email, as we organised our wedding from abroad, their approach is amiable and professional, we immediately connected with them. They were happy to provide local knowledge, which was very useful as we had never been to the area. The elopement package price is extremely competitive compared to the numerous other companies we contacted, and the level of service provided was second to none. Once we arrived in Banff we arranged a brief meeting with Raf before the wedding day, and he was very flexible and arranged to meet at our hotel, at a convenient time with us. When the big day arrived Raf felt like a friend that was joining us on our special day, we are not people who like having pictures taken, and at no point did we feel like we were having formal wedding photos, everything was fun and enjoyable and the finished images are absolutely stunning and so natural looking, Raf truly does have a fantastic gift at capturing the moment. We really couldn't speak highly enough of the service provided before, during and after the wedding. We booked One Edition through emails (as we were eloping from Winnipeg to Moraine Lake) and it was so easy to pick them. Meg was so enthusistic, encouraging and informative, and because ours was an elopement it was so great to have someone to discuss things with! They helped us chose the perfect location and time for our ceremony and pictures. And the pictures... by far the favourite part of our wedding!! Raf made our pictures so much fun and sooo beautiful!! We knew that Raf and Meg were the photographers for us as soon as we meet them--a year before our wedding. We had met them at the Wedding Show in Calgary and was drawn to their friendliness and style immediately. My husband always had many questions, even about venues, and they happily answered any questions that we have. Our photos are gorgeous! They are intimate and natural. Raf is so easy to be around and made everyone comfortable in front of the camera. Meg & Raf are absolutely amazing! Thanks to them our destination wedding at Moraine Lake was perfect! Meg gave us so many suggestions on restaurants, lodging, vendors, and even hiking spots! Our families had a fantastic time thanks to Meg's suggestions. We knew from our first Skype conversation that Meg and Raf were going to be great! They were so thoughtful and answered ALL of our questions.
When we arrived in Canmore a few days before the wedding, Meg and Raf even invited us out to dinner. It was great getting to meet face to face beforehand and relieved a lot of our stress! Afterwards, Raf even offered to let us use his hiking poles while hiking Ha Ling! On our Wedding Day, Raf did an excellent job making both of our families feel calm and relaxed. He never asked us to do cheesy poses (we requested this beforehand!) and always made us feel comfortable. The pictures turned out better than we could have ever imagined! Raf captured the beauty of Moraine Lake so perfectly! We can't thank them enough for making our wedding day/week so perfect!Meg & Raf are absolutely amazing! We are so very pleased with all of our photos! From the moment we met Raf and Meg in Canmore to talk about our wedding, there was no question One Edition was the right fit for us. One Edition (Meg and Raf) are an exceptional duo, that will go to the ends of the world to make your event exactly what you've asked for. I am taken aback with the beautiful photos- they gave us exactly what we were looking for and more. Raf is a wonderful artist/photographer-just check out his gallery, and Meg is a delight to talk to and a whiz at organizing. Not only that, they got our sneak peak gallery to us in one week! You guys honestly rock!One Edition (Meg and Raf) are an exceptional duo, that will go to the ends of the world to make your event exactly what you've asked for. Meg was very responsive, friendly, and prompt with answers to all of our questions. Her tips, advice, and references for other vendors were an invaluable resource while planning.
We absolutely loved working with Raf on the day of. Both of us are generally camera shy but his easygoing personality not only made us feel at ease, but also made it fun to be in front of the lens. One of the reasons why we were both drawn to One Edition was because of how beautifully the photos captured both memories and the magnificence of the Canadian Rockies. We were thrilled when we saw our photos – they were stunning! Everything we hoped for.
If you’re looking for a professional wedding photographer, I can’t recommend One Edition enough!

It was a pleasure working with Meg & Raf from One Edition. I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with a special proposal in Banff, which I had never visited before. I got in touch with Raf before the event and discussed different locations where I can propose. He was so helpful and volunteered to send me photos of the different spots. I chose the spot, and told him what feel I was going for (Fall colours, lake, mountains, sun, etc.) and he managed to give us the photoshoot of a lifetime. He posed as a nature photographer and my unsuspecting girlfriend (now fiancee) was amazed by the beautiful photos that One Edition produced. Raf then took us on a tour of different spots that showcased the different themes we wanted displayed in our pictures and delivered quite an enjoyable atmosphere for our day. One Edition’s photography was the main reason we chose Canada for our small destination wedding. After seeing Raf’s online portfolio, we knew that we wanted to get married in the Canadian Rockies.
Planning a wedding in a different country could have been extremely challenging, but went seamlessly with Meg and Raf’s help. The wedding was our first visit to Banff, so we were very unfamiliar with the area. With recommendations for wedding vendors, restaurants, hotels, and even things to do, Meg and Raf truly took all of the stress out of planning our wedding. Meg was always quick to respond to any questions and checked-in with us several times during the months leading up to the wedding. She was always very genuine in her e-mails, so it was like talking to a friend.
On the wedding day, Raf arrived early and was friendly and professional. His calm demeanor immediately put us at ease. He even quickly stepped in to help pin the groom’s boutonniere moments before the ceremony. After the ceremony, we spent a few hours traveling to locations nearby and Raf was very creative in finding the best photography spots. We had a wonderful time! He was even kind enough to loan us warm clothes to make sure that we were comfortable during the cold, outdoor session.
The photos turned out absolutely incredible and exceeded our expectations in every way.
We highly recommend One Edition Photography for any event. Meg and Raf went above and beyond to make sure that we had the best wedding experience.

At first I thought it would be tricky to investigate a really good photographer for our September wedding that was to be held in Chateau Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada while living in the DC area!! My wonderful wedding planner Cathy McReddy sent us five available photographers and we chose One Edition!! From our first email to them to meeting for engagement picture session, to the day of our wedding, communication was flawless and quick!! Very professional to work with, good rapport, turn around time to receive digital picture albums was under a few weeks. When we first started looking for a wedding photographer we knew that the most important thing for us was finding someone that we connected with and that put us at ease. So when we first met Meg and Raf at the Iron Goat for lunch, we new immediately that we need look no further!
From the very beginning Meg and Raf have been nothing but bubbly, gracious and accommodating. We originally met with Meg over a cup of coffee at our neighbourhood Starbucks. One Edition was not the first photographer we had met but we instantly felt at ease due to Meg's laid back, honest style. We were already drawn to the type of photos that Raf takes but the fact that Meg was so reassuring made booking with them easy.
From day one, they set a high standard for professionalism and they obviously cared about their craft. Meg was punctual, informative and open to our suggestions through email. She helped us plan a lovely winter engagement session but unfortunately the weather did not co-operate. Instead of insisting we take the photos that day they took us into Canmore where we warmed up over a beverage and planned to come back another day. This was above and beyond our expectations of what a photographer would do for us!
We then had a second more successful e-session and were thouroughly impressed with the quality of the photos. Raf did a great job in making an awkward couple look very natural in the pristine Alberta wilderness. We were particularly fond of his emphasis on nature.
Following the e-session, we had a quick turn around on receiving our sneak peek/pictures back. They were beautiful, but the speed at which we received them surpassed our expectations (this is a trend that happily continued with our wedding photos as well)! This certainly had to do with the fact that Meg and Raf took their own time to go and scout out locations beforehand to make our photos that much more spectacular.
On our wedding day, Raf was very punctual and took all of the shots we asked for. He was courteous yet very efficient in dealing with our large, some what uncooperative family. He captured excellent photos, both candid and posed during our entire wedding! We couldn't be happier with the pictures we've seen so far!
Obviously we can't wait for our celebration session! I would thoroughly recommend One Edition to anyone looking for wedding photography!

I highly recommend using One Edition Photography for your wedding (or any event). Both Meg and Raf were so easy and such a pleasure to work with.
From the first consultation, my husband and I knew we made the right choice. We went to Canmore and had coffee with Meg and Raf. They gave us a lot of information and really wanted to learn about us and our story. It really felt like we were sitting down with friends- it made the process so much nicer and a lot less like work.
Our engagement session was a lot of fun. Both my husband and I dread being in front of the camera, but Raf was so relaxed and made it so easy. It really helped us feel comfortable before the wedding day.
Throughout the planning before the wedding, Meg constantly kept in touch and was genuine in her connection to us. She was very supportive, provided us with references for other vendors and answered many questions along the way.
We just received our sneak peek of the wedding and are SO pleased- I have had so many compliments so far. The whole wedding party loved Raf and were so impressed with how he made a small area seem like we were in so many different environments.
I really considered photography to be an investment and I can say I am very pleased with what I have received so far. We really enjoyed our time with Raf and Megs. They responded to all our questions right away and on the day of our wedding they really helped keep us calm. Meg and Raf were amazing! We met them at the Bridal Expo in September and were immediately drawn to their creative and excited energy. Meg was delightful to bounce ideas back and forth with over e-mail. She was the best at responding promptly. Raf really made us feel comfortable posing on camera during our engagement shoot. It was our first time getting professional photos taken so we were a bit nervous, but Raf was very responsive to our ideas and making sure we had a variety of shots. On the day of the wedding he was on time, dressed nice and up for anything. We had a pretty rowdy bridal party and Raf was great at knowing when to make suggestions and also just capturing us being us. He ended up having to sit on the floor of the limo due to space, but never complained, he was such a great sport and ended up getting some fantastic photos. During the ceremony and speeches Raf just silently did his thing in the background, never interrupting, but also ended up always being right there when we needed him (super powers?). My husband and me are pretty fun and non traditional people, so it was great to have a photographer that was on the same page for what we needed. And given the amount of stress surrounding a wedding, (and minor bridezilla moments) Raf handled himself professionally, but was relaxed and fun to be around (he even solved the catastrophe of the missing signs). We love the variety of packages they offer, and the fact that Meg wasn't pushy in upselling us. She listened to what we had planned and made an honest suggestion of what she thought we needed and didn't need. The sneak peek photos we have seen are beautiful and I’m so excited to see the rest of Raf's work. Our entire wedding party and family were thoroughly impressed with his eye for a good photo opportunity and pleasant interactions with everyone. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better team to handle our wedding photography, and we can't wait to work with them again on our celebration shoot.

Wow...from start to finish we were impressed. As we were eloping and we were not familiar with the Banff area we left all the details in Raf's and Megs hands. We set the date and they suggested a time for good lighting. They picked the spot and we were beyond thrilled. It was such a relaxing photo shoot. We received a link to our pics within a week and they were awesome. Soon after our usb came with our pics, all bundled up beautifully and some prints as a gift. We own the prints but can order from One Edition if we choose. We cant say enough about One Edition. We feel like we have gained friends who will always share our special day!Wow...from start to finish we were impressed. From our first emails back and forth I could tell Meg and Raf were a great team to work with. Meg is so thoughtful and lends a lot of excitement and passion to the planning process. Alberta is home but we are currently living in Ontario, so we were planning remotely and didn't have the opportunity to do a meet and greet or engagement session beforehand (which is a great idea, should it be an option). Still, we put down our deposit with confidence based on their beautiful portfolio and Meg's timely and heartfelt messages.
Our wedding was a small elopement with just family present. I knew I wanted a professional photographer so that our guests could sit back and be present with us, but weren't sure we needed a full day. With Meg's advice we settled on the minimal 2 hour session which gave us just enough time to squeeze in our ceremony, some family photos and a few shots further afield. It was kind to our budget and worked well for an elopement, although you really need to scale this to your day... our own snapshots from pre/post ceremony and the reception dinner really do pale in comparison, and were swiftly shuffled aside when we got the full set of professional photos!
Raf was punctual and arrived ready to start shooting. During the ceremony Raf was thorough without being intrusive. Looking back at our photos he was always in the right place at the right time. We couldn't be happier with the way he captured our ceremony and the beautiful space we chose to celebrate in. I had asked if they could scout somewhere quiet to do some more photos (the busy paved path surrounding the Lake isn't really our style). We hopped in Raf's truck and he whisked us off to the most placid little lake with a beautiful view of Mt. Temple, and made extra time to for us to run up a hill and wander the grounds of the hotel.
Our biggest concern was feeling awkward in front of the lens and Raf helped us feel at ease. Meg and Raf as a team are wonderful to work with. Meg is super personable over email and the phone making sure that you have everything ready and set for the photo session and Raf was great! He kept us laughing the whole time through so that our shots were genuine and the pictures felt more real and not just posed. They both really took a lot of time and effort to give us what we were hoping for in our pictures and overall we had an excellent experience. We couldn't recommend the wonderful Meg and Raf highly enough. Our photographs are beautiful, it was hard to choose the select few for the photo frames we have. Meg is so helpful and friendly, the calm in the madness of wedding planning, and Raf is a fabulous photographer, brilliant at helping you relax and let your personality shine in the photos he takes. We would most certainly use them again for any important photography occasions.We couldn't recommend the wonderful Meg and Raf highly enough. I have literally nothing but good things to say about One Edition Photography! My husband and I met Meg and Raf at the Calgary Bridal Expo in September 2013, shortly after we got engaged. I knew as soon as we walked away from their booth that they would be our wedding photographer. This husband and wife duo are so down to earth and just plain good at what they do! Meg handled all of the business aspect swiftly and most efficiently. Any questions or concerns we had, she handled and put us at ease. Raf is an amazing photographer! We have gotten prints of both our engagement shoot and wedding day (both shot by Raf) and they are priceless. I know some people skimp on photography because it can be expensive, but every time I see our happiest day captured so beautifully, I'm so thankful that we met Raf and Meg and chose One Edition.

One Edition Photography (aka Raf) was exceptional. During the ceremony Raf was professional and discreet as he shot from every angle of the church. He arrived early so that he could learn the building, lighting etc. Our post-ceremony wedding shoot was on a beach and he made it so relaxing and fun! We were both very comfortable with Raf and his directions. He's a very personable man and is an expert at maintaining professionalism while exuding a calm, relaxed and fun demeanour. At our reception Raf was again professional and discreet.
Our dealings with the administration (aka Meg) was equally exceptional. Meg's communications with us were timely and imformative. She was open to all our requests and responded to all our queries quickly. Meg's personality is so open and gregarious - her enthusiasm is infectious.
